I never actually thought about the BGH nerf in that context...

1 - Arena in general is better than a pack I think, since you are guaranteed a pack even if you go 0-3 and have the chance to get more than 150 gold worth.

2 - I'd ask what classes you mostly play before recommending a pack to buy. Namely because I'd start working out what the cards you want are so you know where they come from.

3 - What sort of decks do you like? At the moment the meta is all over the place since the new expac just dropped so people dont really know whats good/whats not and I'd hate to recommend a deck that would take a lot of dust and you end up disliking it.

Off the top of my head I would recommend buying old gods packs and building towards a C'Thun deck as something to try simply because so much of it would be able to be used with whatever class you want. Seems like a pretty solid way to spend some dust but I may be completely wrong :P

    Evolve looks straight up broken.
If you have any sort of developed board it's a board clear (by trading first) followed by a heal and massive buff.

How can this card only cost 1 mana?

     Because Blizz knows balance!
In all honesty Shaman in general seems stupid as all hell, I've been playing midrange (no evolve! gasp) and Flamewreathed Faceless is the dumbest piece of crap ever designed. Either your opponent has immediate removal for it or it singlehandedly takes back the board. Hell I see a C'Thun deck and just do a coupe early trades to get the board under control and around turn 4 start going face. It honestly takes 1 or 2 turns for Shaman to close out a game unless your opponent has a perfect answer for everything... and even then I'm not really committing a lot because of how big my minions are in general.
I'm a Shaman main, always have been and before today would of said always will be. Today I've just felt bad.

Chillwind Yeti will be back for the classes that don't get awesome 4-drops like Shaman and Druid.

Shaman gets Master of Evolution . I can't imagine a scenario where they pick Yeti over this. Also Thing from Below can function as 4-drop sometimes as well.
Not only that but Shaman has Fireguard Destroyer as well, admittedly it has overload but it's still quite a powerful card. They also have Draenei Totemcarver which is a fair bit weaker but if there is a good totem in WOG or the meta slows enough for totems and the support they do have Thunder Bluff Valiant sees a lot of play I could definitely see her making her way into Shaman decks.
