Fun fact! This card couldn't have been printed if Warsong Commander hadn't been nerfed, since it would simply allow you to infinitely trade the 2/2 Ghouls away to clear the opponent's board.

TheRealMalfurion posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 6.06 - Submission TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsAs my submission for this week, I have the following card and its token:
The main reason for which this was made is obviously to make Discard slightly more consistent especially on slower lists where a lot of higher impact cards are run that you'd rather not discard. In Zoo it has some more use as a sacrificial token for cards such as Ravenous Pterrordax as well as another token for any Demon Buff strategies. In a pinch you can also use the token in conjunction to Sacrificial Pact.

Unome5548 posted a message on New Card Reveal: Nerubian UnravelerPosted in: NewsI'm going to reiterate. Lets put off condemning the set until we've seen the whole thing. One of the asks the community gave was that the theorycraft period was too long, and caused staleness to happen to fast because we'd been pre-processing all the cards and deck ideas for several weeks pre-release. The hearthstone team specifically stated they would be shortening that period to try and help improve the length of the non-stale meta (thus the July 24th start date).
From the cards that have been revealed so far, nothing insane has been shown, and that actually is probably a good thing. They might be front loading tech cards, and very specific cards that only impact a handful of decks. I expect that the meat of the set will be coming last instead of first this time.
As for this card. I actually really think its quite a good addition. The fact that its effect is persistent is quite powerful, the fat body helps quite a bit. Even if a mage just Fireball's it on turn 6, hey... you avoided 6 damage on your face that the mage would hit you with. Its an excellent combo eater, turn 6 and 7 are often important turns to allot of these decks, and they now have to waste a turn killing this ugly thing.
My favorite part about this card is its a pyroblast killer.

notsoclutch posted a message on New Card Reveal: Ticking AbominationPosted in: NewsWhen they release the good cards first, everyone is annoyed that their hype is killed. They release the bad cards first and everyone goes nuts over how they feel abandoned by Blizzard and how awful the set is going to be....
Can't we just enjoy the spoilers and then take a look at the full set when we have a full picture? Not every card is going to be a winner.

CommTW posted a message on One thing I don't understand about Rogue and Priest...Posted in: General DiscussionI think the devs were trying to emphasize the "mind reading/thought stealing" aspect of the Priest class - in this case, the "mind" that is read is the opponent's deck. Priests in WoW do have the ability to mind-control characters from the opposing faction, so I guess that's where this comes from. Following this (admittedly frail) logic, Rogue simply steals cards from the opponent's class even if they aren't being used. This may be based on the ability of the Rogue class in WoW to pickpocket enemy NPCs for random bits of junk loot/small amounts of money.
Not sure if there's a lore-based explanation for this decision that goes beyond what I've said above.

No synergy with Jungle Giants sadly. But not bad.

I think cost is a liiiiitle too high.

Now imagine if they print a somewhat durable minion that summons a (x) cost beast each turn you have a secret up. This then would be really good.
Because this either will force the opponent to: Play 3 inneficient cards to remove the secret or move hell and earth to remove that minion.

Won with a double warleader board :D thanks
