This whole expansion theme is about them. I'm fine with them being in the spotlight for this expansion but I expect some changes in the next expansion.

Usually the last expansion of the year should make the most impact with the most powercreep (LoE, MSG, K&C, DOD, and MDF).... but this year of the Gryphon broke the tradition as they "accidentally" gave too much power/impact to UiS that it overshadowed FAV.....
There have been a few 2nd expansions that made the most impact, for example take Frozen Throne, and scholomance. Both of these sets defined the year, this one is defined by UiS as well. Just wait till the rotation maybe some of these cards will pick up after Scholomance and Darkmoon rotate

Tbh I got rekt this year. I've gotten about 15ish legendaries from the 60 pack preorders from FITB and UIS, this one was so bad, just got 4 out of 63 packs. I didn't get any of of the good legendary cards. I got about 3k gold saved up as well so my hope is that i'll manage to get lucky and at least fish out 5 more legendaries but the situation looks dire........
What are your results?

Classic is it's own format now. If you don't plan on playing it or playing wild i'd dust them. You get the free standard core set each year now which includes tons of cards for classes and neutrals. I wouldn't buy any of the pack bundles for the last year's rotation. FITB , UIS and Alterac now will stick around for another year but tbh the cards from these sets aren't impactful as the ones from Scholomance for example. I'd suggest waiting for one of the Pack sales they do ( They sell pack bundles for cheaper plus you get 1-2 legendary cards from each as soon as you buy it ), but if you realllly want to open some packs i'd suggest the expansions of this year since the other ones will stick around just for 4 months. But again if you plan on playing wild the whole thing changes IMO Darkmoon and Scholomance are the stronger expansions from the last year.

Vs other Warlocks its just a skill matchup/luck matchup. Against mage you EAT them alive they can't do anything when you flood the board. Didn't see any pirate warriors but I'm pretty sure they won't be an issue either. I went 8-0 so far and I played vs both druid types, other waarlocks, priests, shamans, mages, rogues, paladins and you always win by turn 5 lol

You can start a fireside the 30th of july and open packs, not sure about the time I assume later in the day in Europe.

They need to give Priest more choices because fundamentally that is the issue. I can totally see why anybody maining Priests would be p*****d at the nerfs as it weakens their class. But they have to understand that for the opponent this kind of playstyle kills the fun and that is the last thing any game creator wants their game to be. And I also don't mind 20 minute games, as long as there is interaction and wins/losses feel earned/deserved.
For the record, I am not a fan of aggro meta and I don't play aggro decks, unless I need a little change and climb the ladder a bit. I didn't have an issue with previous iterations of Priest. It needs a win con to actively pursue other than fatigue, though. Shadow Priest might be it but the problem with that is there will be a limited number of cards printed and I just don't know if that will be enough to launch an archetype. We will see, I hope it does.
No class, no archetype has even been competitively viable with only one expansion's support, barring Genn and Baku.
The only thing priest has rolling for it is random generation. Just played a game vs one he found 6 Kazakus randomly then he just out-lifestealed my damage, for fuck sake you get them down to 5hp and they are back at full with the 5th 10 10 lifesteal on board. The only gameplan they have is to out-value you later on. If they make it you'll play 30 min and lose if they dont you'll just stomp them in 5 turns.
It all depends on the priests luck of the draw, and how well the RNG goes for them. Which is quite sad tbh I'm sure there are a lot of priest players who love the class but they legit need a gameplan, not this..... Some generation is good but this just makes it annoying to play against. I legit just insta concede when i face priest, don't wanna take gamble of a 30 min lost game, i'd rather play 3 other games in the time I lose that 1.

I think something else is going on with Priest. Vicious Syndicate noticed that there was not a high but significant proportion of players insta-conceding to Priests. This is because you are guaranteed to have 15-20 minute matches with them, which are not fun to the opponent, and players think they can use their time better queueing up to someone else. And insta-concede is probably not what Blizzard wants players to do. It needs to address the class, of course, it's their fault things are the way they are, but nerfing now will a) increase the enjoyment of the game for non-Priest players and b) make room for a new archetype in the new expansion.
And the nerfed cards are still perfectly playable, just not 10+ times in a single game anymore.
I legit insta concede when i see a priest. I can play 2 maybe 3 matches depending on how fast games go against other classes. I'm just not willing to play a already lost game 15-20 min. I'm not mad against control warlock, at least I know what they are bringing. Priest is waaaay too annoying with random generation plus those big samuro heals. I once played vs one who played 7 hysterias from random generation, that wasn't fun at all.

Am I missing skmethingy? Playing on phone and I go to the hero portraits section of collection and don't see any option to buy any (for gold or money). Same with the shop, don't see a hero portrait section. Just the standard stuff for sale (currently only Mecha jaraxus)
Where are the other portraits that are supposed to be available to buy/how do I access on mobile?
You buy the Hero Skins for gold in the Collection browser. You just click on the hero portrait you want to buy and you can buy them for 1800 gold. Most of the non-preorder and non-battle pass / rewards track heroes are available to purchase with gold

I wanted to open this thread to see people's opinion about the way blizzard is putting Hero Portraits for sale, even expansion pre-orders ( Mecha Jarraxus ). Personally I love it, I'm a cosmetic collector myself and I think this would be a better way to monetize the game instead of charging so much for card packs. I really hope if this works out that blizz will make this the primary monitization for the game and make the game more accessible to new players.
I saw a lot of people rant about how they don't want the EXCLUSIVE skins to be for sale, but IMHO it shows no game accomplishment what so ever, except that you spent $ on the game a long time ago. So i'm interested in peoples oppinion about this, and any comments on how blizz could make the core game ( Cards, Battlegroud perks and so on ) cheaper. I personally hope for a mechanic that allows to trade Legendaries 1:1 instead of having to dust 4 of them to craft 1 that you need.
