that secretless one is a cool deck man. What ranks have you guys played to with those decks? that seems like itd be a pretty definitive way to figure out what works or doesnt.
I see what you mean with the dragon synergy. And I may run one effigy and one duplicate but I find in most cases it is good to get copies of specifc cards that you want like twilight drake. duplicating twilight guardian is huge against aggro. What would you reccomend if anything instead of justicar and coldarra? It honestly is a dangerous lategame threat. I'm open to changes with those but I will disagree on rend blackhand. He very consistantly shuts down big threats and puts a big threat of your own on the board to eat a shadow word death or a bgh.
*TLDR: take a peek at this deck list below and let me know your thoughts and improvements, I've only played this as high as rank 11 but it really feels like it's on the verge of being amazing.
If anyone else is like me, they love mage, and they love dragon decks. One of the highest rated decks on topdecks currently is Kibbler's dragon mage. However, the whole deck feels just a little bit stiff (although I love Kibbler's work generally). I wish I could remember where I found the framework for this deck so I could give credit where it is due, but I found another dragon deck that I have modifed like it is below
Some edits I have played around with are -2 sunfury, -1 azure, +2 explosive sheep +1 fallen hero. (also have been back and forth on ice block x2, but usually when you need two you are just stalling a losing game).
Overall this deck matches up VERY powerfully against popular decks like control warrior and control/dragon priest due to its ability to outvalue with duplicate and stay in the game, as well as destroy big threats with rend blackhand and polymorph. If you duplicate rend blackhand its basically gg against any control deck, especially warrior. sunfury has great synergy with twilight drake and blackwing tech to stall early aggro, which I have come to prefer over explosive sheep since that is typically a big tempo loss. The biggest issue it runs into is stalling out in the mid game.
*Coldarra drake with a 2 dmg fireblast is a massive lategame threat that people don't expect, but an idea i've had to improve midgame is -1 coldarra, -1 justicar and +1 or 2 hungry dragons or fireballs. Fireballs would also make it more viable to use alexstraza offensively.
*I found illuminator better than healbot because of the ability to hide them behind taunts and get healing for multiple turns in a row, and it leaves the middle of your curve more open to make room for bigger threats. They had stem early bleeding from hunters or pallies and keep you topped off against one shot decks like midrange druid.
