This is an incredibly serious problem, and I'll tell you why.
Druid has incredible ramp, cheap cards, plenty of card draw, and Hemet, Jungle Hunter is a Neutral minion. If you're playing a deck full of cheap cards, notably tokens, all the cheap draw and flexible cards make this an almost definite victory by Turn 6 for the Druid class. With Witchwood Piper and Countess Ashmore existing as well, if you play even one or two Witchwood Piper, it's almost a guarantee that you win the game early with this card. I mention specifically the Druid class because of Naturalize. With Twig of the World Tree, Spiritsinger Umbra, and Juicy Psychmelon all being part of the same block of cards, I think this might be too much.
I really hope there's more to come that helps tech against something this strong. I fear for the health of the game right now.
So let me get this straight. You think druid can not only draw their entire deck but also play every card they have by turn 6 AND on a regular basis? Like what bro? You basically made a thread to complain about druid but put Mech'thun in the title. I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about.
Unstable Element Because rogue is my favorite class.
Dr.Boom Because he will like be the most fun card in the entire set.
Rotspring Because I love the art and want to try it out.
Honorable mentions. The Boomship, It looks like fun but I question the viability of Big Warrior and I don't really want to craft the necessary legendaries to make it work. I also want Whizbang because he is the perfect chill and play casual Hearthstone card. He is almost like a Tavern Brawl in himself and you will likely que into him a lot in casual anyways. Sounds like lots of fun.
So what I am getting from this expansion is this. Rogue and Druid are going to be heavy on the otk combos. Shudderwock will get ran over by them and revert to a token based bloodlust list. Warlock will run over token based lists and go hard in with the combo disruption. Warrior and hunter will be locked in an eternal battle for which hero card offers better value while simultaneously feasting on warlock. Little changes in mage and paladin but they hold a spot in the meta anyways. Priest is a wild card.
garbage. rogue cant afford to play slow deck like this
It fits into any rogue deck though. Aggro can play it with eggs. Miracle can trigger illusionist for maly or mecha'thun even. I mean bloody hell this card suddenly became one of the best deathrattle activators in the game and people still trying to call it bad?
Rogue also just got a weapon that triggers deathrattles, so yeah. Just make a standard miracle rogue deck and include this with the weapon as a secondary win condition.
I dont understand how people argue that this card is overrated or not that OP.
Like son... i draw 4 specific cards... i tutor them for the price of 4 mana.
You have to be mentaly ill to think its not busted.. or live under a rock.
Like you dumb kids played any MTG or Yu-Gi-OH cuz i remember a few banned cards similar to this.
Well the problem is that outside of wild, it's really not that broken. It's decent in Hadronox Druid but also unreliable and may draw out your dragonhatchers and the like. It's like a worse UI because most of the time, taunt druid isn't concerned about drawing until they are at 10 mana anyway because they have lots of taunts to play and stall. It could see play here, but I am not convinced yet that it will break the deck.
Maly druid on the other hand is more complex than just draw your minions and win, you still want your damage spells as well. So again, I feel UI is better here.
The only druid archetype that wants to draw with fruit is really big druid, because ramping into big thing quickly without the clunky UI turn is great. You want big minions rolling out smoothly as early as turn 7 depending on your mana curve.
The card is strong but I feel that people are putting it where it doesn't fit and as far as standard is concerned it's not an auto include in every druid deck. Even if it does some how become an auto include, I don't think it's anymore absurd than what druid already has in standard.
This card is off the charts. Druid is a class that want to ramp into big things. Melon gives druid the things to play when the have finished ramping. The only drawback to playing this card is sometimes you won't draw it. I think in standard, it won't be used for much outside of big druid. It's unreliable in hadronox, maly druid is more complex than just drawing your combo pieces quickly, and it already does draw them quickly so I don't think this will break standard. UI still seems better for combo oriented decks. In wild, I think togwaggle will run 2 of automatically and continue to be the most obnoxious deck in the game.

Should be an interesting meta.

Too low, slow and random. Seems like the kind of trash that would usually fill a neutral epic slot.

Nevermind, just realized that Mechathun himself counts as a minion and this weapon won't work on him most likely. Maly still good though.

This all feels a bit silly now that Mecha'thun has been revealed lol

Myra draws your deck. Rogues new weapon triggers deathrattles. Fin.

Just going to remind folks that a 1/1 Malygos is a thing rogue can do. This trigger gives good control over kobold illusionist!
