This card is stupid. Why does it have a drawback of destroying your own deck? It's a high cost card that should be game winning but it has anti synergy with warlock's greatest strength, the hero power. It's basically 8 mana do nothing for a squishy class that has to sacrifice drawing cards to make this even relevant. The idea of it being used to counter combo decks is ludicrous. It comes out far too late and your opponent will have too much time to draw their combo. Don't kid yourselves. A one mana card like Duress is good card design that allows for combo disruption. This 8 mana disaster of a card is too expensive and the draw back ensures it will be irrelevant to anyone who wants to actually win games. Hearthstone's card quality continues to be atrocious.
Significantly better than the rogue version of this gimmick. Just like every other set. I can see this maybe finding a home after rotation because it has synergy with token based aggro decks. Something that is almost always relevant in the meta. It makes sense for warlock flavor wise even if it's bad. Of course I could be wrong and battlecry combo rogue could be tier 1. OMEGALUL
Just admit it Blizzard. Warlock and Rogue are both just MTG's black split in half and that is why one half is always getting the meme end of the stick.
Even at 30 mana, playing Holy Wrath wouldn't otk the opponent due to it being discounted by one. On the topic of Holy Wrath though. If there is one thing that gets me hyped for Hearthstone in 2018, it's 5 year old memes. Can't wait to see people playing old cards again!
And some people still don't know the real reason Hearthstone keeps getting more and more stale, faster each time.
Even at 3 mana I don't think this card would see play right now. Strider is like the only card you would want to combo with this and even then you could just run a 3 mana 3/4 elephant. There might be some other support coming, but as of right now, kingsbane is the only archetype that considers this in standard. yay... more kingsbane... *barf*
Meh for 20 dollars I will be getting a few hundred cards for Artifact and enjoy something that isn't going to be as stale as a 5 year old box of cereal only a month after release. Have fun playing defender for cosmetic sales and Blizzard taking advantage of people's obvious want to collect things in a collectible card game. Clearly a more compelling endeavor than playing HS itself.
Hench clan thug for even rogue and curves into waraxe nicely, if that is even relevant.. What makes thug so good though is the increase in health. This guy gets killed and you have a couple of 1/1s. Not nearly as good or reliable.
I think this could fit into a tempo/aggro warrior. Going face is a big deal when it comes to make or break in those decks. Still, at 6 mana this card can't even clear a single scarab by itself. My god is Spreading Plague busted. We needed a rotation months ago.
Obviously shouldn't write it off because we don't know what support is coming for it but I really don't understand what this is supposed to be. Some kind of bad joke maybe?
"Oh look, it's that same old otk rogue deck that has been the exact same for months now. But he gave it a different name and linked a video of a hack no one outside of Hearthpwn has even heard of. Let's up vote it!" - Probably You
I'm pretty sure anyone who plays Hearthstone more than their toilet break on a daily basis knows MCT is an annoying card that has been around for way too long. Not sure why people itt are so defensive about it honestly. It's one of the worst offenders when it comes to rng game state swings. I mean realistically, it's a three mana mind control with the tempo of a three mana body. It's often insane value alone and when it's paired with a card like Spreading Plague, it's one of the most disgusting cards in the game. It should be a priest class card. There is no excuse for it's existence to remain unrivaled and always be the go to answer in metas that go wide.
Why is this community so behind the idea of MCT needing to exist as tech for wide boards forever, but we don't even have any standard neutral hand disruption. I'm not allowed to interact with my opponents greedy Malygos deck while playing deathrattle pally, but thank god he's allowed to punish me for establishing a board while he spends his turns advancing his plan, drawing and gaining armor.
You guys are idiots.
There is no good excuse for MCT remaining untouched or in standard forever, much like every other "evergreen" card. Eventually Blizzard is going to have to rotate all this crap, less they keep bleeding players. Adding new cards can only do so much when over 40% of the meta are cards that have been in standard since beta.
Ooze + Gnomeferatu. Likewise, rushing them down with too much pressure. If the rogue has Kingsbane + Buff and Lifesteal + Backstab you are probably going to lose regardless though. I used to beat pre nerf tempo mage with opening hands like that. Gnomeferatu is the only hard counter and even then you have to survive. Kingsbane is just a stupid card really. Another thing that should not exist in this game.
Mechanically, this change is completely unnecessary, as it is tailored for an interaction with only one specific card; but as for flavor, it makes no sense why a flare would reveal hidden minions, but not hidden heroes, so I think a change would be nice.
Flavor wise, Valeera the Hollow is supposed to be waiting behind you in the shadows to put a Kingsbane in your back. A flare wouldn't help you much in that situation unless you have eyes in the back of your head. So let's not use flavor as our basis for inconsistency of which Hearthstone is full of.

Can't disappoint everyone even more if you can't announce the expansion. blackguythinking.jpg

Yep, looks like they have another hero portrait for preordering.
