My climb is at an end now, I just hit Legend with Midrange Shaman after a lazy sunday playing HS :).

@Kwakdizzle: Gotta thank you because the last 10 games I went with the Elemental package instead of Keleseth and it paid off hehe.

@Skyryser: Idk man; I checked my stats again and for my 3 versions of Midrange Shaman my stats against Druid are as followed: 2W1L, 6W2L and 9W1L. From those losses I know a few of them were against Maly Druid. I think I only lost one game against Tokens.

You need some losses with each deck to understand each of it's match-ups though. When I picked up this deck last month my win rate against Token Druid was probably underwhelming as well.

I like the suggestion of Glacial Shard. I included it in my Elemental Handmage as that was lacking in early game as well and it performed well there; I can see it working as well in this deck. I would not cut the MCT's though; for me they have been invaluable in a lot of match-ups. From the online lists circulating I cut the Stonehill Defenders and Lich King; I didn't like them that much. Especially Lich King tends to give me a lot of shit cards. I am currently experimenting with a Bonemare in the deck but I might have to drop that for something that battles EvenLocks better if they keep rising in popularity.

Dropping Keleseth is interesting. I might give that a try :). Though I don't often have an empty hand I find myself hardly in need of card draw except for only a few matches (guess we have a bit of a different playstyle maybe).  Though if you run the nimbus and earthen might package I can understand your choice to drop an MCT.

Good luck with the climb. I'm at rank 2 and 4 stars atm so I might queue into you hehe ;).

    What poster above said.

I can only add that Midrange Shaman destroys Token Druid as well. My win % against Druid with the deck is amazing (it also deals nicely with the other Druid decks). Between Hagatha, Shudderwock, Mind Control Techs, Kalimos and the taunts you run in this deck it's hard for them to get a good Savage Roar turn. I run two versions: one with an Electra spell package and one with Corpsetakrs. Both versions deal with Token Druid really good. You are dependant on some draws though so losing is possible if you draw badly.

Any priest deck also ruins Token Druid's day with Psychic Scream (+ Shadow Visions & Mass Dispel). Question is: do you really wanna play priest now? ;)

Some other decks can improve the match-up drastically if they run Mind Control Techs or Abominations (I have actually seen a rise in the Abomination tech lately). And you probably already know about our friend Mossy Horror by now.

When playing against Token Druid it's paramount that you do not let them get a good Spreading Plague of. If they play whispering woods without SoF then don't let them bait you to go wide.

posted a message on Incoming nerf

Not an aggro player? Looks like a Zoolock player's suggestions lol. Suggest a few nerfs that hardly target the currently best performing deck (only Fungalmancer is hit and that would not hamper the deck that much). Even better; the nerfs are actually cards that give Zoolock trouble: Spreading Plague, Reckless Flurry, Giggling Inventor (and to lesser extent Rexxar).

Discussing the meta is good, but these players doing it only from the point of view of their own playstyle tires me.

My opinion? I think the meta is quite fun atm, haven't played this much in a long while. I have quite some games under my belt already this month and my stats show that Warlock and Druid % is out of control. A (slight) nerf to Zoolock would be a good start for sure. When it comes to Druid, I'm not really sure what card could be nerfed. I would suggest a card that is often overlooked: Jasper Spellstone. Imo the spellstone cards shoud be underwhelming in their 1st phase (which is the case for most classes) but 2 dmg to a minion for 1 mana is hardly underwhelming. I'd put the spellstone at 2 mana; it's a card being run in pretty much every Druid deck.

Job and other activities prevent me from going Legend each month but this month I'm gonna go for it again as it seems to be a calm month at work and I'm already one star from rank 3.

Alternating with some decks but mainly playing Token Druid & Elemental Handmage. I really love the Mage deck but it has a really hard time against aggro decks & Shudderwock Shaman. I turn to Token Druid when I face those a bit too much.

posted a message on Which deck require the least skills to play?

I think it really depends on the match-up. And people need to understand this: playing a tier 1 deck does not automatically mean that it requires no skill. It's not the player's fault that some people tend to troll around with meme decks and then complain about decks like Odd Rogue that they get destroyed by turn 4.

Control vs Aggro: Playing a control deck vs an aggressive opponent requires hardly any thinking. You just play your defensive cards as you draw them. Your win condition is surviving and that's probably the easiest win condition to play. That does not mean it's easy to achieve though. Most of the time the only decisions you make each turn when playing control vs aggro is whether you play defensive card x right now or if you wait 1/2 turns more to get more value out of said card with the risk of getting behind too far. But for a lot of times you will only have access to a few of your defensive cards during the game (your control deck only has a limited number of those or else you just instalose your control mirrors) so a lot of times you hardly have any decisions: 'Oh it's turn 3 and my hand is Tar Creeper, Frost Lich Jaina, Flamestrike, Voodoo Doll, Artificer & Meteor: drops Tar Creeper'.

Aggro vs Control: I find the aggro player has to do the some more 'thinking'.  Their win condition is to kill their opponent before turn x; which is harder than surviving (again: depending on the match-up/draw this might not be hard to achieve) They might get an easy win but a lot times that's because the control deck isn't teched good enough vs aggro or they had a bad draw. You cannot blame the aggro player for such a win and say his deck takes no skill. The aggro player often has a lot of ways to play his turns (unlike the control player in this match-up) and has to decide which minion to play, wether or not play around certain board clears, which minion they will buff to deal with a likely to come up opposing (taunt) minion or bait removal, etc.

Control vs Control: This match-up requires the most thinking imo, especially when there is no real favourite in the match-up. You always have some 'dead' cards in these match-ups and it's up to the player to get the most out of those. Your win condition can vary a lot as well and you need to understand it and adapt if necessary.

Aggro vs Aggro: Trade or face? I think this comes 2nd after the control mirror. A lot of the times this match-up is draw dependant but I repeat: draws are not skill dependant so you can't say it takes no skill to win when they get a better draw. You should check games where draws and match-ups are quite even and you'll see this match-up can be really deep and the most skillful player will win this game a lot.

You could make 75% the same assumption for tempo when compared to aggro and for combo when compared to control but I did not want to make a tl;dr post :).

posted a message on Supercollider: A heads up.

I agree, the card is good (not great); even without the surprise factor. Warrior just hasn't picked up the popularity it deserves but it will be getting more attention in the coming days (I already saw more warriors the past few days actually).

People above saying the card is trash haven't been playing enough high rank warriors I think... Yes you can play around it, but it isn't easy and playing around this card will mess up a lot of decks their strategy to start with. Three charges is a lot, a lot of deck strategies cannot afford playing 3 suboptimal turns in a row.

The card also synergises extremely well with Mossy Horror which is starting to become the mvp of Boomsday.

It's not a great card because of being deadweight against some combo decks, but then again you always have those in control-oriented decks.

I can be wrong, but if I am I expect it to be about the good/great part and not about the good/bad.

Got some more experience with this deck archetype (I run quite a different list than this one here). The deck is giving me a good winrate (around 65%) at rank 3-5. At this moment I'm experimenting with Knife Jugglers (and if the first games are representative they're keepers).

I run 1 Sea Giant, it's amazing and is a fantastic target for Floop to copy. I removed one Tending Tauren for it. If it keeps performing this well I might add another one.

I run one Living Mana and one Soul of the Forest atm.

This deck eats all other aggressive decks for breakfast, the only deck that sometimes gets a win in is Healing Zoolock if they have some ridiculous start with Happy Ghoul or Doubling Imp.

I've been playing a mech token druid deck as well and stumbled upon yours to see how I can optimize it.

I'll help you as well and will suggest you some cards that do well for me:

Mecharoo is a solid 1 drop and I also like Replicating Menace in this deck as it can attach to your bombs, attack into a minion as if it has charge and you suddenly have 3 tokens (if it dies); I have been experimenting with 1 or 2 copies and I like it so far. If only my 4 mana slot wasn't so crowded.

I take a less aggressive approach with Fungalmancer & Tending Tauren; this way I don't run out of steam soon. These cards have been performing really well for me. Because I have these 2 cards I also run Floop as they are great things to replicate.

I don't run Living Mana but Soul of the Forest; inot sure about this as I haven't had enough experience yet to say how good it is in the deck (I also tend to not draw my SoF's so it's hard to get experience that way...)

posted a message on Share Your Boomsday Pack Opening Screenshots & Results!

90 packs (saved 3.5k gold for the expansion and bought the regular pre-order). Got me 5 legendaries: Boommaster Flark, Myra Rotspring, Crystalsmith Kangor, Zerek Mastercloner & Myra's Unstable Element which made this my worst Expansion pack opening ever sadly enough. Doesn't help much for my excitement as I think this expansion is the worst one in a while.

I did get one pack with 2 legendaries and 2 epics in it (not that it matters much to me).

Got Floop & Golden Boomzooka as free legendaries.

Good thing I am sitting on 14k dust atm. Hopefully my predictions are wrong and the meta turns out to be a fun one.

posted a message on New Neutral Legendary Minion - Subject 9

Can see this being played in a hybrid secret Hunter with secretkeepers (and maybe some mechs?).  This deck saw some minor succes earlier (Spellstone and Eaglehorn Bow are great cards after all). Hunter appreciates any kind of draw it can find.

Mage has Arcanologist, Aluneth and enough card draw so I doubt it will find a way there.

I dont think Paladin will go back to it's secret days but who knows that someone will come up with a Subject 9 - Bellringer Sentry Secret deck (that new secret's not too shabby) that ends up destroying the meta.

    Rogue? Meh.
