Propably a 1 off in Dragon priest since you can remove a minion with Bookwyrm lategame with it. As a 2 off its to situational and not realy a 3 drop since stats are weak and you have to target so this would often  end up buffing a patches and become a 1/4.

    meh card.

This card is all about curve value bewteen 3 and 9 and of course deck building circumstance.  Hunter has secrets, direct damage and a hero power to drive early game damage which has always made it a prime candidate for a solid control class but they keep cycling worthy cards out before it all comes together.  You run 2 animal companions, two To My Sides, and two call of the wilds and you have equal board presence to most other control decks. (The rng is certainly an issue) but with Deathstalker Rexxar for late game (also rng) things could shape up solid. No one can accurately judge the synergy of this card without play testing.

But please answer me this, because this is what I'm not getting in all these apologist posts. Imagine you have this incredible control Hunter deck where you have 28 of 30 cards selected. Let's imagine they're all spells. You decide you need something for the 6-mana slot. Even in this hypothetical world where a control Hunter deck with 28 spells is perfectly viable and you have the gap that To My Side! is supposedly designed to fill, why would you pick it? What current synergies exist that make it worth running over Savannah Highmane?
Or, to put it another way, what other current synergies exist to make it worthwhile building a deck with absolutely no minions apart from this card, which is still merely average in that deck?
     1. Why would you run it over highmane in a control deck? Because its  8 damage target removal/finish damage or 8/8 taunt vs aggro decks and thus far better han highmane if condition is met.
    2. there are still 4 hunter cards to see at least 1. Legendary weapon you might wanna run with this and most likely at least 1 more spell.
    3. i dont get all the rage about this card, while its not obvious that this finds a home in a tier1 deck. This is far away from beeing unplayable or uninteresting. Technically its around 8-9 mana value for six. Thats not reno but its still something.

Ok. So I see a lot of people defending the card, and those attacking it. It seems the argument can be brought to "Its rubbish" and "Maybe one day a minionless deck can be good in hunter and this card will be decent". What people don't seem to get, is that even if that awesome minionless deck will exist, the design of the card is still worth being angry about. Or pretty much, why should such a card be so restrictive in card design, when the pay-off is not so good.

Other cards which restrict your deck (Reno Jackson Raza the Chained Kazakus Prince Keleseth) do it, but then they give you a huge pay-off for it. They are interesting powerful cards, which may require more creativity in deck building (laughing by myself knowing everyone just netdecks). This card just gives you a decent effect for a huge cost.

But above all, what people feel very frustrated is why can you only play this interesting card in only one deck archetype. Why should Hunter be given a card, that you can't use right now. Let us assume they mad the card just, summon two animal companions. Would it still see play? Would it be broken? It is very hard replacing Savanna Highmane (and would also be cool to have an alternative to that on the 6 mana cost slot). Maybe play both cards, but if you have so much late game, it is already competing with possible Bonemare. So that card is already fighting with great cards. Would be nice to have so creativity in hunter.

But people ague that there can exists a future Tier 1 or Tier 2, minionless deck in the future. Well great. This is still a spell. This would still be played in that deck. Why can't they be played in both, decks with and without minions? Why can't it just say "if you have no minions in your decks it costs (2) less mana".  But make it playable. This card could be so interesting and fun NOW, what I don't understand why we need to wait for a whole new archetype to play around with it. Or, if they really wanted to make this such a restrictive deck, why they didn't give it a much better pay off, to make it so crazy, we were glad you could not put that in any deck.

I don't know. I just feel this card is not powerful enough to compensate the restrictions right now. And would have been nice that this card was at least playable in a normal hunter deck. Or at least the pay off to have been so crazy good, that when you create that minionless deck and play this in turn 6 you say to yourself "That was AWESOME!", and not just a slightly worst Call of the Wild.

Dude this is not random its an 6 mana 8/4 charge beast if you want or a 8/8 taunt for 6 mana, how would that be balanced without a downside?

As you all know there has been community uproar about To My Side! however some people are defending this card, and just seeing those complains about as salty and unappreciative.

    1. To My Side! Looks like it was never play tested. It probably wouldn't even fit in the deck it's designed because you'd rather just play call of the wild and add yogg for memes. Even if the deck were to be played the card is awful value wise and you'd likely lose tempo. It very well may be the worst card ever printed for hunter which is saying a lot.

    2. The Hearthstone Developers don't care about hunter giving playable cards for any form of play style. The majority of Midrange hunter is from the basic set. Only Fiery Bat is consistently played from old gods, and infested wolf sometimes will see play. Since Call of the wild got nerfed it hasn't seen much play and the old yogg'n load deck is also dead in wild. Karazhan is probably the best expansion for Hunter that is currently in standard and the best since GvG as it has kindly grandmother along with cat trick and huntress.  Sadly this is adventure and so Hunter only got 3 cards. Next we went to Gadgetzan were we got rat pack the only good epic not to be nerfed in hunter and alleycat a decent card but not as good as enchanted raven for druid. The other cards were handcuff which fell flat on its face and even Don'Hancho didn't see play in Warrior or Pally. In Ungoro hunter got shafted only crackling razor maw and jeweled macaw were good enough to see consistent play. Ungoros legendary were also unplayable along with the Epics. In Frozen throne we got bear shark which only fits in because other cards are too weak too see play. They also got some kind of card gain with stitched tracker. Hunters first good legendary was given in Deathstalker Rexxar, but with two bad epics and exploding bloat bat not much support was given towards a good control warrior. To My Side! and Crushing walls are bad but we may see the first good legendary minion for Hunter in hearthstone history in whisperwind. TO compare to other classes Hunter gets one to two good cards per expansion while priest warlock get insane amounts of good cards.

    3. It is quite possible To My Side is a preview of cards to come which is a shame because there is not enough early summoning a minion cards too make the deck work. Also there is no board wipes or card draw so the no minion card would basically have to be a win condition.

The trolls here acre actually the people that dont understand This card and why its costed like it is. This is not random. You can take alwaysw 2 huffer or 2 mishas with it. And people saying this would be fine without restriction just dont get, that this is not random.
And plz dont tell me 2x 4/2 charge beast for 6 would be balanced because it would be broken AF, like 1000 times better leeroy you could run 2 off.
this card imo needs a heavy downside but most people here have no clue why for some reason not able to read and understand cards text.

Its shocking that it has this requirement.  It just makes sense given the other two animal companions cards that this should cost 6.  What in the world am I missing?

Your missing, that animal copanion is random, and cotw cant summon a double. There are many worlds were I would prefer double huffer/misha over cotw tripple even if it would cost 9 this however just costs 6.

    2) You can't look at cards like this is isolation and judge how good or bad it is. You just make yourself look stupid. Maybe there will be some kind of deck that works where hunters play no minions and this card is a necessary gap-bridger. It's not designed to be good, it just serves a function to make the overall deck workable on some level.

We're not looking at the card in isolation, we're looking at it in the context of the rest of the game, which is the very nature of evaluating cards. You're on the other hand are looking at it from an imaginary viewpoint, which makes any evaluation point less.
Yes, >if< there were some incredibly overpowered cards, which would benefit a minionless hunter deck, this could be playable. If there was a card that let you win the came if you had an 1/4 beast, silverback patriarch would be amazing...
But there aren't any cards like that. Even a possible - and probably bad - recruit hunter needs to run enough minions to make this useless. The legendary doesn't even theoretically synergise with this, because it's 8 mana.

So yes, we can say that this is garbage and bad design, because it's not only unplayable, because you wouldn't build a deck that meets the condition, it's even bad when you meet it.

Notice I said 'gap-bridger', my point being, even in the deck its intended to work in, this card is still, when compared to other cards in more regualr decks, still terrible for 6 mana. This doesn't mean the deck overall is bad though - We'll have to wait and see. You don't seem to understand this or you wouldn't be bringing up eamples like silverback.
Just how is this still terrible when you trigger the double? Animal Companion is a played card at 3 mana. This is obviously better than animal companion since you can chose the companion you want so without condition this would be costed 4 mana. Now if condition fullfilled this draws and plays a 4 mana card which would be costed around 5 mana since it has combined effekt. So the basic card without drawback should be costed around 8 mana. So the card itsself is verry good when its played in the right deck. Problem is there is propably not enough synergie to do so.
But in a void were you net all cards optimized powerlvl, this is actually a decent card.

I'm still thinking about this card. How could it be this bad?

Could it perhaps be that it's not random but works like discover. You get to chose the (2) animal companions???

Should imo work like this since its not random still no ofivial word how this card actully even works. But since its not random it should indeed work as a discover, which would also explain the manacost...people here actually create a shitstorm over a 6 mana card with 8 facedamage...

hes not saying if this is now random or not, if its not its at least playable if it is than:

1.Most bulshit inconsisting wording ever made, why is animal companion random and this does the same while not saying random on the card.

    2. After purify (and this would be purify all over again) does team 5 not realise that unplayable underpowered cards are NOT FUN. this game is all about winrate, nobody has fun in this game  while losing 90% of the games.

    3. If it is random why is it random when the card would be better balanced when its not random?  and why all the lazy programming, not everything has to be random automatically, use more discover mechanic to skip shity RNG

If its possible to run a deck with no minions in hunter this is 2x 4/4 taunt or 2x 4/2 charge or half messure for 6 the card itsself is pretty flexible.

But we realy need confirmation  that this is indeed not random but your choice otherwise this card is an insult obviously.

So if im right and you can actually chose which one youll get this is actually pretty strong, its 8/8 taunt for 6 or 8 charge damage for six which is much better leeroy imo.

All under the assumption that this is not random but due to wording it should not be random.

It is definitely random.  If it were selectible it would say "discover" or "of your choice".  See Justicar's upgrade to Shaman for an example.
     1. if it is random than why exactly is the wording different from animal companion? Animal companion say explicit summon a random animal companion this doesnt this would be the most unreasonable change of text ever made by team 5.
    2. The manacost of this card+ drawback only makes sense if its a companion of your choice.
Misha and huffer are costed around 4 mana normaly which is balanced by leok on the normal card. With this you basically get 4 cost minion + draw and play another 4 cost minion + flexebility of charge and taunt which would be like 8-9 mana normaly but you get it for 6 because it has tremendous downside.
So wording and balance both point to my interpretation

lol just realised this it not random so i bet you can discover chose which one, so this is 2x huffer for 6 mana... only explanation why this is so overcosted, it has to be chosable which one you get.
