Oh it does..... for ONE turn.  The problem is on the next turn they reload 100% and usually even worse.  Thats what happens when cards cost too little and are way too powerful.  Especially the buffs.  Its stupid at this point.

Holy crap.  My Reno Hunter deck got me to D5 but I cant win a single game now.  The amount of obscene buffing, board filling every single turn is unbelievable.  How in the world can these decks have like 25/25 worth of stats by turns 3/4?  Even if you wipe the board.... too bad.  Its coming again next turn.  You have a taunt do ya?  Yeah - good luck.  Reno?  Worthless.  Zephyrs?  Useless. Holy shit.   And Im sorry but these decks are not deep in thought here.  They are flicking cards and buffs out there faster than you can say WTF, LOL.

Is it even worth trying to use Highlander decks at this ranking?  Doesnt seem to with Hunter anyways.  You gotta "join them to beat them"?  That sucks.  I hate playing aggro.   Do you have to resort to fun-killing Res Priest or crap like that?  I hope not.  Geesh.

I agree. Wild has been the better mode despite a few pesky decks and cards.  Way more variety and viable decks that can be fun to play.  Standard get stale so fast once the one or two problem decks get popular.

I just was obliterated by an APM Wild Mage with a full board of Totems and a Sea Giant by turn 5.  My opponent played his entire deck and killed me with 1 Sorcerer's Apprentice and two Flamewakers.  No problem here.

I hear ya. It’s unbelievable that by turn 5/6 that they can draw their entire deck and just keep spamming Flamewaker ping shots like that.  That’s what happens when cards cost zero and the class has an unlimited draw engine.  This should be game design 101 level stuff but they appear to NOT be doing anything about it. Very frustrating. Anyone in diamond at any level is stuck with so many games against this crap because the try hands just can’t help themselves.  So sick of it. Get rid of zero cost cards....for the 1,000,000th time.....

Fuck this shit.  Im so sick of moron-proof decks getting cheap, unearned wins.  Why does this game reward idiots and make braindead decks so damned powerful?  C'mon.  Does this game really have to appeal to 8 year olds with mental problems?   Can they make another version of the game thats for adults that are educated beyond the 4th grade?

Aggro is cheap and fast, it will always be the most popular archetype, it's been like that since the first iteration of Face Hunter back in 2014, you should know this already.

True - but it'd be nice if there was SOME drawback to playing aggro.  There never seems to be.  It doesnt matter if they run out of cards because with Warlock and DH its cheap and easy to draw.  Other decks just buff the crap out of the already wide board without much cost.  Board clears are few and far between and guess whats happening next turn?  Yup - revomit hand and buff again.  Now what?  Oh and then you think Taunts really stop anything?  I have news for ya: They dont.  They just get removed quickly and efficiently with a throw-away minion that gets buffed, a cheap silence card or a poison tag.  The taunts we have suck.  Kahrtut should have not only stayed in standard but it should have been reduced to 5 mana, IMO.  The game needs to add HIGH health taunts or more taunts that cannot be silenced.  Or, more taunts that do like 3 damage to the entire board if killed.

Its just such a terrible game experience to watch wide boards with like 20/20 worth of stats every turn while you sit there and wonder "Dafuq?"

What is this new Warrior thing where they appear as if they are some control deck but rope every turn only to really do nothing the whole game?  They just armor up and rope.  Of course you beat them but Im wondering if this is the sign of a bot?   Kind of a waste of time, IMO.

As for Salt?  I find as I climb through Diamond that every game is literally down to one or two cards being drawn or not.  Any semblance of skill, of which this game already requires very little is long gone at this stage.  Its a Vegas-worthy casino.  Oh well.

There are basically 3-4 decks tops that actually win.  Nothing else.  This game didnt used to be like this but it sure is now.  The busted stuff is so relentless and impossible to screw up too.  There are NO mislplays with Paladin, Hunterd, etc.  There cant be.  The game is in a perfect state to play whilst taking a dump or while in a zoom meeting at work.  Thats probably by design.

Best of luck trying something off meta.  I have.  Its a joke.  You'll get run out of town faster than you can blink an eye.

Unfortunately there is no room for homebrews on ladder, keep getting crushed by tier 1 tards with the same decks in both standard and wild with no win in 2 hours.

Yeah - thats tough.  I would much rather challenge myself and have some fun than just spam Mage/Paladin or whatever.  Meh.  Its too bad that the game just doesnt support enough home brew decks.  I get that some homebrew decks are garbage.  Of course they are.  But some are fairly decent looking and Ive made a few myself that have good, logical synergy and all that but still dont stand a chance.

I am trying my own whipped up version of  Reno/NZoth/Zuljin hunter and its fun but very streaky.  Im sitting at platinum 3-5 right now with it.  It gets run over badly by Murloc shaman and usually Recruit Paladins.  It doesnt do well against Secret Mage or even spell mage.  It wrecks Demon Hunters. Warriors, most Rogues & many other Hunters.  Card draw is a problem and and of course having what you need when you need it is a huge issue with this deck.  Druid & priest are about 50/50.

Zephyrs and Reno dont always help like you think they will.  They feel like "win more" cards versus "save your ass" cards or whatever.  I use a secrets package for early game, Kazakus Golem & then some deathrattles like Khartut, Tonk, and Sylvanas.  I also run Rexxar for longer games.  Not a great deck by any means but fun to play.  Im sure the "legend worthy" version of highlander hunter is nothing like mine though.

Got it. Like I said, right away Kazakus made a difference as a great middle cost drop to slow down Aggro, give you a board or help push damage. I’ll keep playing. It’s a fun deck for sure .  I just didn’t have all the pieces and now I do.
I did dust Jandice though. Should I recreate her or just run something else? For now, I added a second Ambush secret so I run two of those now. Or, maybe another card in place of Jandice that isn’t in your subs list?

OK, you're probably right. Let me ask then:

    1) What to keep at the mulligan?

    2) I dont have Kazakus - should I craft him?

    3) I added Coerce but might get rid of it.  had a few games where solid removal was needed.

OK - I had Kazakus and its a great card!  Had no idea how good it is.   I added that and got rid of Coerce.  I think its a big help.

I dunno now, changed my mind.  It loses hard to paladin and many of the other usual bull shit decks.  Ugh.  Its super weak unless the draw is perfect.  I either cant use cards, run out of cards, etc.  Also loses to Weapon Shaman.   The deck has NO removal at all.  Thats a huge problem.

Warlock is tough. It’s one thing to have control decks have their place.  That’s fine. They should. But there needs to be limits on their healing or removal. They can’t have seemingly endless amounts of BOTH. But Warlock feels like it does. Nothing sticks, if you do hammer them down a bit they just draw a few cards and heal right back up. Then.... say goodbye to five cards minimum from your deck. I dunno, it just seems to be a tad much, IMO.
