In any card game, only so many archetypes can have viability against all the others at a macro-statistical level.
Its just an equation of win consistency + return on time investment.
No one stopping you from homebrewing, just dont expect consistency if you arent planning to counter/survive those builds who pass the equation

Not only that, but Custom Game modes bring immense amounts of creative people and ideas into games and make them even better, see paper MTG and its community creating custom formats that go on to be so successful and popular that the company that makes the game supports them and makes them official
A Custom Lobby where people come up with their own new rules and restrictions for Hearthstone would not only solve the deck building problem, but it would also breathe new life into the game as a whole.
People are getting pretty aggressive and hostile in this thread right now.

Maybe you just need to git gud at deck building. But yeah I do get bored of facing the same netdecks over and over, so wouldn’t mind introducing some kind of ban feature, either banning a card or an entire deck itself. Could be like in tournaments where you can ban 1 out of 3 decks and then they choose between the other 2. I think it could also be interesting to have a mode which introduced a “mana ban” system where each game, you can choose one mana value to ban, so you could ban 1 mana cards if you hate kingsbane, ban 3 mana cards if you hate secret mage, ban 6 mana if you hate tickatus, 9 mana if you hate odd decks, etc. It would force people to play off meta decks because if your opponent suspects what you are playing, then they could eliminate your win condition, making the goal of the format to be unpredictable in your deck building ability.

Kabal Lackey should go to 2 mana, Crystal Runner to 7 or "can't be reduced below 1", Kirin Tor Mage to 3/3, Cloud Prince to 4 damage or can only hit minions, maybe Runes to 5 damage...
Anduin should go to 9 mana (much more helpful than Raza to 7 because this would actually delay the combo), alternatively but maybe a bit too much: Spawn of Shadows goes to only deal 3 damage per hero power, Palm Reading could be changed to "Reduce the cost of 1, maybe 2 random Spells in your hand" if you want to target both Priest decks (res a bit more in that case).
Regarding Rogue, I would actually nerf Oil by one mana and not the other cards. Maybe Kingsbane to 1/2 or even 0/3. Or as a meme suggestion, Deckhand gets Rush instead of Charge?^^
If we slow down the meta like that, I would also consider a slight nerf to Token Druid and pirate warrior because that's what will probably come back then, so maybe Deckhand 1/1, maybe Savage Roar to 4?
If they ever change Vargoth, they should make him only pick from spells that were played while he was on the field. This would at least remove Shadow Essence and Mass Ressurection from his pool and sometimes other res options as well. Maybe a bit too much of a nerf, though.

Raza the Chained - Up to 7 or 8 mana. Makes the card much slower without killing the archetype.
Kingsbane - Up to 2 mana. Honestly not sure why this card is 1 mana anyway.
Cloud Prince - Can only target minions.

I find it annoying that this game lacks reports and user punishments for bad behavior being a competitive game.
I have always said it, the worst thing of this game is it’s community. I’ve never seen a community so toxic. They are BM with EMOTES. And the new exp system where long games give you more exp just made the game A LOT worse. Now these incels exploit this and they keep roping every turn, even when they don’t have any plays, waiting for you to concede. It’s a game, it should be fun!
Blizzard should take note of this and do something about it… You even can’t report BM in Hearthstone! Or is it just that the site report system sucks? It’s like a maze.
For example, I just have had a game with a priest that roped since turn 1. It was 40 minutes long. He wanted me to leave the game. On those cases I just won’t quit and win them. They ALWAYS rage quit. He even didn’t played well and his deck had no sense (a res priest with small minions LOL). I won with my Primelock.
This kind of behavior should result on a ban. It’s unaceptable. This is his battletag if it serves any purpose.

Also dont stress over priest/mage players, they are known to be mentally challenged (theres quite a few synonyms that i couldve used but i might get banned).

Yes exactly. The game is always favouring my opponents, it seems....Blizzard Bots? I feel so disappointed about the state of this game. Seems fixed....or am I just going mental from the grind?

First Update: 2-1, Barricade is awesome. I just beat weapon rogue purely thanks to that card and Desperate Measures

No, no, I’m not trying to pick a fight. I probably just have bad luck. I just can’t seem to get off d10-9. No matter what I try, not just your deck. EVERY time I try a new deck I win a few, then can’t win again. It’s amazing. I tried it today. It is amazing. I JUST won 3 in a row again, with a mage deck, then promptly lost 3 in a row. I will never understand this ass game. Haha

good idea! cuz no doubt tiller versions need to be nerfed. pretty much cancer already
