Great list :) I do miss the days before Tickatus was released and you could match up against a renolock with another control ddeck and have a match till fatigue
I've made some adjustments to the list and I'm currently on a 83% winrate from D10 TO D5, this was a great platform to start from. I'm currently writing up my version of this list if you are interested in my refinements. The Master's Call into Don't Feed the Animals is seriously nasty! I'm actually considering adding two copies Tundra Rhino solely based of the combo with the number of one drops in the deck. Especially with Crackling Razormaw for windfury and damage buffs.
Again, I'll write up all of of the synergies/detail of card choice in my own list. But thank you for the inspiration.
- 2 Scrap Shot: too slow for wild, reduces the effectiveness of Don't Feed the Animals - 2 Rat Pack: I didn't get to try this as I don't have 800 dust to spare (who does lmao), I do like the idea though
+ 2 Crackling Razormaw: I like the aggro curve the additon of this card provides the best, particularly with the large number of one drops + 1 Fresh Scent: Again this supports the aggro curve + 1 Zixor, Apex Predator: I like the value of this card, by no means is this greedy as its base form is pretty reactive with rush and good stats.
I built this deck before DH released when quest mage was everywhere which is when I achieved legend. I think the meta is too fast now for this kind of deck, perhaps if you run into a lot of Raza priests. I’ve had some success with Trueaim Crescent and Animated Broomstick for Sylvanas Windrunner and Nine Lives. Houndmaster Shaw could probably replace Deadly Shot.
I think it’s because I haven’t won a matchup perhaps... I mean in theory demon hunter hand deal with our early game snowball cards at too low a mana cost. Hunter is an interesting one because naturally priest is good against them, what is the most common matchup because any burn orientated play style like DH or Burn Hunter might be too fast for us to turn the corner.
It’s pretty hard to say because in that case I would cut both copies of Spirit of the Dead and maybe Lorekeeper Polkelt too. Unfortunately Bwonsamdi, the Dead is the engine of the deck, we run out of gas too easily. If you still want to try the deck I’d replace these 5 cards with early game snowballs cards, mainly one drops or other buff cards to end the game quickly but your winrate will depend more on good mulligan strategy, could probably bust a few wins out.
Tbh needing the healing from him is a fringe occurrence, you never really want to play towards this combo/synergy. It’s a way we can randomly generate the right card at the right time to survive a turn to win in a small number of cases. His value is that he is a strong two drop, no one wants to watch their opponent generate a win condition because they didn’t trade him, definitely a good card for the deck. Welcome to the wonderful world of wild, standard will feel so contrived and pre-conceived you will never want to go back >:)
Probably Dr. Boom, Mad Genius if you don’t have him. He could be a win condition in your deck with but I think the hero card really supports the rest of the deck. He’s also funner than hero power spam as well. But that’s probably your best bet imho.
I play a lot of Recruit Warrior so he might have to be crafted, too many times have I pulled out all of my highlander battlecries with Army of the dead. Your write up is helping me climb, I’m going to try take this list to legend for the first time. I hit diamond 2-4 every season but change decks too quickly haha
Yeah this deck is very well put together, with Boom active every top deck has potential. Just dismantled a resurrect priest into fatigue, won the game by rushing a sylvanas into a kel’thuzad with a goblin lackey for a tempo swing. Best game I’ve played all week :)
Unfortunately I'm lacking a lot of niche legendaries, but I've played a lot of highlander hunter. Without dragon synergy, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza is a strictly win more/bad card to start in mulligan.
Wild Bloodstinger is very under represented in lists like these, its thiccness and the disruptive factor it possesses makes it a good card for wild.

How does it play with Shan'do Wildclaw and the consistency with Master's Call? Does it have a huge effect on the value of Don't Feed the Animals? I’ve found a lot more success with playing two Tundra Rhinos (removed a Trampling Rhino) which could be another valuable replacement for you.

Love the theme! I had middling success with 2 embiggens and a keleseth instead of overflow, ixlid and a single satyr

I’m missing a lot of key cards, lmk how the deck plays

My changes:
-1 Rattlegore for +1 The Lich King - Unfortunately I don’t have Rattlegore but man I’d love to play him in this deck
-1 Plated Beetle for +1 Frightened Flunky - I found it diluted the res pool for N’Zoth
-1 Kobold Stickyfinger for +1 Gluttonous Ooze - I don’t have this card
-1 Revenge for +1 Zilliax - With all the mech synergy it fits quite well
Probably good alternative cards if you’re missing cards.
Archivist Elysiana, Town Crier, Bladestorm, Dyn-o-matic, Supercollider, reaper’s scythe.

Scarlet Webweaver could be okay too, for the sake of mostly losing Kathrena Winterwisp efficiency it prevents clogged hands.
