Mercenaries PVP is quite strategic when you max out yours mercs. Also that little design team is very competent IMO. I dont think Mercenaries will be unplayable without new mercs, but PVP need more modes to be leaved in stand alone mode, i will see you crazy guys at fighting pit in a afterdeath match.
There are 3 opressive protectors right now : Trigore, Lokholar, Yshaarj . Rebalance Trigore is needed but will not change much at high level Rank, but for low level is required. Lowering its attack would be more appropriate to the rebalancing philosophy
I love Murky, such good design. I pair it with Guff for great effect against Trigore. Murlock summons are good against Valeera. Murky is a hidden gem and will make Murlocks viable as soon as a nerf hit Trigore.
The meta will always be based on strength, if there are no nerfs, strong mercenaries like Valira, Caern, Diablo and Cookie will always be present. Lokolar will enter the meta, because speed manipulation is strong in the game, so he is strong.
In my view, the biggest offender in the meta is Grommash, as it enables 1st turn assassination without retaliation. Which is the biggest pest that exists in turn-based games.

Mercs is like a frankenstein, but blizzard never screamed "it's alive!!"
I hope that one day they will recognize our beloved monster.
On Topic: I buy eventually, because i play and enjoy the mode, not because is necessary.

Nice suggestion or trigger only with beasts.

The former director of hearthstone has already said that the problem of excess coins is at the top of the priority queue right now.

The mercenary developer team is good, the mode just needs competent people in its monetization.
