Puzzle Box's wording should be - "If you have no skills, put this in your deck, cast it." Flavor - "It doesn't matter if this works. You still have no skills."

We got randomizing randomizers in the brawl, leave them there.

Saying you invited debate by stating the rewards are bugged is not a debate rather a statement and nothing else. A statement that's wrong.

Secondly you can't say you wanted a debate yet tell someone who doesn't agree with you they need to move on. Others agreeing with you that they expected and feel they should get more/better doesn't make you right. It just makes them wrong and entitled too.

This attitude of while it was expected because the card packs now have a no dupe rule is the same as the preverbial saying "give a little and they'll take a mile". It's literally the definition of entitlement. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Header = Fact - dup rares. Complaint (invitation to debate) - it's probably bugged. Retort - it's not. Me - OK, next subject.

Did I tell you or anyone I wasn't pleased with me being corrected ? Did I ask for a refund, replacement, call blizz cheats, or anything of the sort? English isn't my first language, so I can only apologize for mis-phrasing.

I answered you, respectfully, and you patronize me like you have the slightest clue who I am, and you label me on top of that, wrongly, and "burst my bubble". You didn't burst anything, you were referring to a bubble that existed only in your mind.

Blizz remakes ladder. Players hate on the changes.

Blizz gives exponentially more rewards for laddering. Players whine about getting free stuff.

Business as usually for the entitled gamer.

I'm not salting, or whining. It was an invitation to debate - I'm not alone, it Was expected to be otherwise, and another remarked it might not have been protected. OK, next. Not everyone's "entitled".

How much gold do most FTP players have going into each expansion? I'm assuming most players should have recieved at least 30-45 packs from quest gold, pack giveaways and season rewards, so if you came into the expansion with 500 to 3000 gold, shouldn't most have all rares by now?

I'm 100% genuinely curious. I have nothing against FTP players at all... I'm just curious, because I  spent my gold at expansion drop, and have 1900 gold now, and have opened at least 10 free packs... I also usually dont play more than quest completion, I know alot of people rack in 160 gold every day, which gets you 48 packs a month... That's not too shabby.

The packs some up to 25-30 on a not-much-time of a month and peaked at 37 this month, but it's THIS month, which included quarantine. holidays, and for the first time - the dup protection.

Maybe I got this wrong, but I'm not gonna buy classic just to fill up rares, when it's preferable to craft classic as they stay or HoF for full dust. Buying expansion is the same "bet" for epics and legs.

posted a message on A Calm and Informative Conversation about Class Balance

#4 (easy) AoO is great, except three things - Paladin still exists instead of DH replacing it (watching paint dry is entertaining next to playing vs paladin (I have nothing against the players) - not real salt) // Rogue as I wrote (got used to it) // DH got a silencer+draw, while priest got shafted-ish (see P.S).

#1 - I REALLY don't get why people still have a problem with DH, and I said it after first wave of nerfs. Every single deck I play beats DH, two of them (rez priest and spell druid) before first wave. Added two hunter decks and a couple of priest variants after the first wave. The second one wave didn't really change anything for me. It just showed my rogue complaints were true... speaking of the class...

Rogue is still over-pampered by far with way too many out-of-scope/range for their costs. I wrote it somewhere else, my steam is out already. Shadowstep should HoF, blackjack needs to be nerfed, and giving rogue 1/5, while giving priest and mage with a 2/3 instead of 1/4s is the very proof... and then the rest of class is fine with me, albeit the lackey infestation being out-of-hand.

Priest (As #3) is fun, I like the discovers and smaller-range RNG here, which is really due rotation. 3/6 orc, 5/8 rush, skeletal dragon, all great new taunters fitting the class (orc and rush are in HL mage as well). Galakrond's range is smaller, so at the very least the invoked minion has some credit. Still not a tier 1 class, I dunno what the meta is for each 5-ranks, but I like the new priest, even though the no draws. I have played all decks so far this month (aggro buffs, midrange veilweaver-gala, gala control, rez, and HL -- my fav was the midrange, but I reckon it needs another expansion to find some stability).

P.S. The anti-priest class got a 1-cost: Silence and draw spell, which IS a literal spit in priest's face (the only mage/druid/warlock card that silences is a choose-one, AND the draw they took from priest). The irony? Before ANY nerfs priest already kicked DH ass anyway, while DH played silencers and Kayn anyway (had 8-2 prior first nerf and the day after the first nerf, then back to spell druid because it beat the growing numbers of warlock and rogue decks).

I don't play wild, so no comment. I got secret mage, but no aluneth, and I don't have the new epic toon. Worth playing / crafting?

    Quote from RushingMonkey>>

As for the rest of your post, I understand where you're coming from - as stated in another post above, I do like the DH class in general, and I also like Altruis (wait is it a she?) - my point here was suggesting a change that isn't completely ridiculous, if they absolutely need to change it again. A lot of people are still complaining about Skull, in part even rightly so... but hey, leave it to Blizzard for another round of nerfs. They'll just slap another extra cost on the card, nerf it to oblivion and call it a day as they usually do :/ Or leave it to DH haters and they'll just go bonkers with things like the discount only applying in Outcast and only to drawn spell LMAO. Still think that going back to 5-mana and cutting the cost to half rounded up is a good middle ground.

I don't care what it is, it's still a bitch.

DH haters? I thought everyone shifted back to hate priest. And I guess we don't have to agree on everything, I'm still pro-cost-5, cut-2. Half is for people who want to divorce xD

    Quote from SinAscendant >>
I actually looked it up and it appears that you're right, in terms of winrate Skull is the worst card in the deck. HSreplay has the played winrate of Skull at 56.6% in comparison to the deck's 64% winrate.

Thanks for this! I didn't even look at those stats, but when aggro drops 5 or 6-costs, it's highly noticeable. At 6 it's a stupid "draw more", while they have (let's see...) just outcast draws is 3 cards (2/1, silencer, and the draw + 'another' spell), then there's a draw per dead minion, and the +2 attack on top, making it FIVE cards (each x2) and I haven't exceeded 2-cost and whoop - there's a 12 card draw potential.

The card is great at tempo/HL though, but even there I'm still pro dropping it back to 5 and cut-2 of the cost.

Costs 5, cut cost by 2 - Ye, the next skull would cost 3, but the class should be some OP due having 20% cards of any other class. Besides, I've seen skull by skull played now and before - very rare, and doesn't win the game alone.

     Agreed

In half? Hell, no -  rounded down is underpowered, rounded up is overpowere

Wait I'm not following you here, you meant the opposite, right? Half cost rounded down (as in: a 3-mana card would cost 1) would be more powerful than rounded up (a 3 -mana card would cost 2) which was my idea.

Assuming you meant viceversa, I put "rounded up" in my suggested change and I don't see how it would be underpowered if not by nerfing aggro, which was the idea here. At 5 mana you'd get a better deal without Outcast - which is great for archetypes that don't just vomit their low-cost hand to activate Skull on turn 6. Plus, even by cutting in half (rounded up) in Outcast, which you consider underpowered, it means you'd get 2 mana discount on 4-5 cost cards (which is still strong imho), 3 discount on 6-7 cost cards (as it is now), and 4 discount on 8-9 cost cards (better than it is currently), and a whopping 5 mana discount on a 10 cost card.

The idea is to make the card better for midrange/control archetypes, while making it worse as an "hail mary refill your hand and win the game with Altruis" for aggro. Paying 0 for 1-3 cost cards is a bit too much.

Excuse my English, but in "rounded up" I meant the discount of that half, so 7 turns to 4 discount, and card cost becomes 3. It's OP and unbalanced. Just take a "Certain" 7 cost which would become 3, and it'd have get another nerf and this time to oblivion (either of the two).

As things stand NOW - there aren't enough 8+ cost cards for DH, but there are more than enough 1-3 costs that would lose from that half cost, especially if the COST is rounded up (original 5 becoming 3). You cut their resources of power in chain reaction (and as OP as it is, it's ok).

This is while the effect suggested at 5 cost will end with HL/control DHers running Mage/Priest curve and fetching a 9-10 cost card (which becomes 5) and playing it the same turn with 2 more cut-cost cards. Original idea with skull at 6 is sort of fair, because you can't play those, but you could still play 7-8 costs, and the 8-cost gained 1 mana reduction. Again, not enough of a pool, so I'm still pro-cut X cost to all.

Altruis can bite it. Yeah, it's strong, yeah it wins, but she's an OP legendary as this OP class should have. It rotates first, so give her the benefit of the doubt she earned her place for this round. Slices are her engine, it's not enough, skull does what it should with her.

In half? Hell, no -  rounded down is underpowered, rounded up is overpowered, so there's no balance between other than cut by X. The current version is fine, but with the major tempo loss at 6, the mid solution is Cost 5, cut cost by 2 which much like Battlefiend as a 1/2 - where it should've been to begin with.

The only 2 losses vs DH tempo in last 2 days were with no skulls at all, and they still drew 7+ cards each. For DH big demons / HL it's a different story of a card, I barely see those though.

posted a message on Which deck would u choose as ur main as f2p?

Hunter is rather cheap and reliable class, other than HL which is not cheap and above-average reliable. The only leg that seems to be a must is dragonbane. Depending on your deck - 2xToxin reinforcements or 2x Weapon are must. That's it, here ends all legs and epics you MUST have. There's a face hunter that costs up to 3, only reinforcements cost anything there, stupid deck, but it has good w/r.

You have 3 decks, 2 face (up to 3 cost, and the good face hunter deck) and dragon hunter. I play 2 legs and 5 epics face hunter, but it had a blitz from plat 8 to 3 yesterday including 2 priests, 2 DH, and almost each other class once, while most face hunters pack 1 leg and 4 epics, so I'm currently highly unbiased. Dragon hunter does very well, you really can do with minimal dust there, and it's a stable deck (however, I only played it earlier this month before the DH release).

Minimal dust & Max w/r for me - spell druid, by FAR. One leg being given free, 2 glowflys, the rest are rares/commons. Beats mage and rogue, actually beat 2 rogues with shadowstepped filk on the way. AND the deck can win turn 5 if your opponent plays a braindead deck aggro (DH, pally, warrior).

There is something I dont understand about these conspiracy theories. If I win a game my opponent loses a game. If I lose a game my opponent wins a game. Seriously, why would it matter to blizzard who gets the win?

Because if I let you win all the time with the one or two decks you can build without grinding you ass off, you'd keep being a f2p. If you look at it, it's damage control, which business-wise is a good move. I don't know if they do or don't, but until proven and extent, I've seen weirder luck playing around in real life cards than I saw here.

The 1/1s are spell cards. Like bombs or hakar

That's what I think should be, but those spells can't be neutral for sake of pure paladin.  Counts as all classes could easily end it in case they have ideas for other classes.

Idea is nice, but it's not logical by any means. It's clearly a minion, with a body and stats. They could maybe change albatross to shuffle cards like "summon a 1/1" - and without additional draw, so the messing draws up remains as a part of the effect - but then there's no disadvantage of being forced to actually pay 1 mana to have it not clogging your hand.

Those cards work like for druid ysera and are spells, so it solves mage, still mess w/HL, same we meant, but all of those draw a card after.

If they keep them as minions, those tokens could have 'draw a card when drawn', so it's still a pest, but not as much.
