posted a message on Is Xyrella the best hero now?

Xyrella is very powerful. A mix of Yogg and Maiev, two already strong heroes, except with a better late game than either.

The two new heroes and Omu are also quite powerful. I also hear Vol'jin is strong when played right, but I play on a phone so a two-part hero power that requires a lot of time for planning is out of the question.

Yes. Minisets are among the highest value bundles we have ever gotten.

Unless there is a chance you might someday want to play something other than standard, no, there is not.

posted a message on New Shaman Rare Primal Dungeoneer

You can run a deck with a small number of Elementals so that not only is it card draw, but also a tutor. Perhaps you can do the same with spells, but i cba to research that right now.

If a non-aggro Shaman deck becomes viable, this will be an important inclusion.

posted a message on Bug or intended secret passage

Reading the wording of both cards, this works as intended.

Secret passage only returns the cards to your hand at the beginning of the next turn, after the time when the Evocation cards would have disappeared if they were in your hand.

posted a message on What about xp events?

After the entire hubbub caused when the reward track was announced the potential XP events were cancelled and the bonuses where integrated in the track, so no, don't expect any bonus xp anytime soon.

The metagame is not currently unbalanced, but there is an issue with the change in design philosophy.

There are powerhouse cards in almost every class that invite build-around decks that lead to a power level we're not used to. A lot of games feel one-sided because one player found their key card earlier than the other. Most games have huge swings that make minor adjustments feel inconsequential, even though they definitely are not.

A lot of players think that balance is the problem, but it is not. Standard mode is more balanced than most past iterations. The problem is that the gameplay has shifted dramatically and for a lot of players it's not what they like.

So basically it's Deathknights but as like, 3 mana cards?

Yes, that's a good way to put it. Too many game defining cards played by turn 3 or earlier.

Edit: or in another parallel, it's like every deck is a Prince Keleseth deck.

DH is 45/48% WR in general what are u talking about? Priest is maybe less than 45% xD
And the game has 3 or 4 decks around, maybe cause is the first expansion after rotation but anyway...one of the worst designs ever made.
Time to look for another game, from now on the stuff will gone worse.

If you think that 45-48% winrate decks mean a game is broken and poorly balanced, then I encourage you to try other games and find out what unbalanced really means.

posted a message on What everyone's opinion about the Meta after the buffs and nerfs?

Aggro Paladins are now a free win, Secret Paladin is meh, Libram Paladin and No Minion Mage are strong, but mostly fair.

There are several other decks that can be played to rank up, like Rush Warrior, Control Priest, token Druid, probably ramp Druid and of course the rogue and DH decks.

A lot of these were fine even before the patch, but people insist on playing the same decks (that include control Warlock who isn't even that good) making this a boring metagame at a lot of levels of play even though there is such a large variety of decks that are capable of being successful. Hearthstone seems to have reached a critical point of net-decking for reasons that I don't yet comprehend, which leads a lot of players to believe that the metagame is unbalanced - even though it is not.

posted a message on Make Watch Posts great again

Not all cards are nerfed exclusively for balance reasons.

Far Watch Post has an extremely anti-fun design and it's better for the game that it's not as strong as it used to be. Some players feel the same way about the rest of them as well.

posted a message on When was the last time you saw Demons win a lobby?

Removing the Watcher isn't the problem. That card was weak. The problem is that it got replaced by another weak card.

Demons aren't worthless though. They are a good backup plan if the game isn't going well, as a Juggler comp can easily place you in top 4 or even a little higher.

posted a message on Libram paladin

Aggro or Secret Paladin were strong versus Libram Paladin before the patch, but I don't know if it is true after the nerfs.

Warlock also has good stats in this matchup, but it has too many counters right now.

As for Spell Mage, the stats show that the Paladin would have a slight edge at any level of play. That does not happen only because of Paladin's curve or aggression, but because of the sheer amount of healing the deck can have.
