posted a message on King Bagurgle and Gentle Megasaur are killing this mode

Every build has a specific role in the Battlegrounds and the Murlocs' role is to be the ultimate late game tribe that struggles to get there. If there is a problem, it is that the new +1/+1 murloc has made it less of a risk to go murlocs, as it is now safer to go full murlocs, while previously it was mostly a tribe you could "pivot" to after having a generic, directionless midgame.

Rofl yea, go ahead, bring back hall of fame cards.

Watch as half of your playerbase switches to full time battlegrounds and never plays the regular game except for dailies.

    Deuces.

I'm sure bringing back Azure Drake or the parrot will be so bad for the game...

I'm sorry, but that's total corporate bullshit talk.

Here is the truth.  They intentionally made DH super OP so they could create hype and sell as many pre-orders as possible.  Now that they've sold those pre-orders they are immediately nerfing the cards to bring them back into balance.  Do the customers have any recourse, can they get their money back?  No, of course not, they get DUST.  This kind of thing could never fly back in the old days of collectible card gaming when you actually had to PRINT cards and put them in real life packs.  But now?  Blizzard can do whatever they want.

In my opinion, this tactic is so excessively greedy that it's just shameful.  Just make a good game with flavorful classes and decent balance and people will play it.

MTG has had cards banned before a single tournament took place. They have a constantly running banlist for every format and guess what, you get NOTHING for the cards people spend hundreds of dollars on.

Don't ever compare the greed of anything to "old school paper CCGs". They are the worst of the bunch in every possible way.

Also remove Deathwing and nerf Razorgore.

Deathwing is getting nerfed next patch (probably to +2) and what's wrong with Razorgore?

    1 would kill murlocs entirely.

2 would mean some other mech needs to be moved or added at 3*, but it can probably happen.

3-7 probably not. Hero changes don't need to be this drastic. All Millhouse needs is to start at 3g like everyone else and Elise is fine.

Apparently it's winnable against Deathwing now (he's not the best at "higher ranks" (whatever that means... I usually see him lose(well not got 1st) at 5900 which is in the top 12%) but once again Blizzard is nerfing for the masses. It would be better if people just learned to play around him.

He's the best hero for 99.99% of players and the second best for .01%. But since your personal experience is different, he needs no nerf.

Random early Mamas made the game too swingy with +5/+5. She's still good now, but you don't see sudden 20+dmg rounds in the midgame out of nowhere.

Mech had a high win % because they were easy and safe, not strong. You could get top4 easy but beyond that, between multiple 50+ toughness minions and jugglers killing shields, it was a very uphill battle.

Now that demons are weaker, since mech has the smoothest buildup, it loks like the new thing everyone is doing.

Honestly I was expecting (hoping even) a move of Wrath Weaver to **, maybe with a small increase in stats (2/2 or w/e). This change is a little bit like the Junkbot nerf, where you usually just ignore the card because you find it too late.

The only reason mech was weak was that they couldn't beat demons. The nerf may be enough for them. As for beasts, moving highmane to 4 may indeed be ok, although i think a Direhorn that early might be too much.

Cobalt is very strong but mech overall w were very weak recently, mainly because they cannot beat demons.

Maybe with the watcher nerf the mechs will be the new powerhouse.

posted a message on Can you invoke without Galakrond in your deck?

There is one exception, where Invocations work with no Galakrond in hand, deck or board.

If you discard your Galakrond as a Warlock, then invoke you still get imps. If however you get a new Galakrond off of a card like Soulwarden or Expired Merchant then not only is your Galakrond not upgraded by those Invocations, but if he was at, for example, 3/4 he will revert to 2/4, as he is considered a new card, not the original.

posted a message on How do you even beat murlocs if they got poisonous going?

One way is getting one or more big Cleave minions. If they have divine shield as well, buy a second, unbuffed cleave minion to pop tree bubbles with one attack.

If you are in mechs, Cobalt Guardians are your best bet (against anything else as well...) as long as you have enough token generators.

It is also doable on Beasts, with a lot of token generation and at least a Mama Bear.

Lastly, Demons can almost do it, only if you go for the version with Soul Jugglers and, again, token generation.

You could have a mix (cleave and tokens).

If the game goes to the "supreme late game" and the murlocs have poisonous, divine shields and a lot of toughness, they are basically unbeatable, however due to the nerfs they have had, they should not make it that far on most games.
