Rainbowhunter posted a message on Battle for the Crater is This Week's BrawlPosted in: NewsQuote from zorthander >>I really was hoping for a free arena run and a KFT pack to rejoice until we get the expansion...
Team 5 ruined my expectations when they said we would have 3 weeks and 3 arena runs and then we just got 2 of them.
I thought we were getting the quest once the brawl starts. But I suppose you're on the US server where the brawl starts earlier than EU. Anyway, we got plenty of free content and there is more coming up, so I wouldn't fuss about it too much. -

GhostTrickx1 posted a message on New Card Revealed: Meat WagonPosted in: NewsQuote from irthewinner >>Nice job naming all the 0 attack minions. Now look at that card text again and realize that your post was pointless. You can Cold Blood Meat Wagon in a rogue deck and use it's death rattle to pull Malygos or even an auctioneer. That is barely even covering the possibilities this card has. -

They've really been working hard to scour through the internet to look for the new reveals, translate foreign languages of certain reveal cards, and design an entire bloody article just to compliment it.

ShadowsOfSense posted a message on New Card Reveals: Bring It On & ColdwraithPosted in: NewsThe official art won't be like this, it just looks blurry because the images we recreated them from were so small. When we get better art we'll update. Hearthstone is known for fantastic art, I wouldn't worry.

No. The single largest factor in climbing the ladder is time. Second is knowledge of the game. Third is card pool (which can be achieved by paying or investing a lot of time). I think this has been repeatedly proved by streamers who run F2P accounts to legend (Disguised Toast did one recently, Trump had done some multiple times in the past). If you know the game well (all the cards, popular decks to play around) and have the time to invest (so as to minimize the impact of variance/rng over a large sample size) then you can have a consistently high win rate without paying.
I do feel the game is pay to have fun some of the time though, because it's hard to mess around with a lot of the fun legendary cards if you don't play a lot and don't have tons of hours to sink into the game without paying for packs and getting dust to craft what you want.

This is a very fun deck. What are your thoughts on adding a Circle of Healing to go for the classic cleric+circle combo? I have found in many matches that I have multiple injured minions on board and I am running out of cards in hand.

I never have the time to make the climb to legend. I typically end up around rank 10 each season. I keep myself motivated by playing decks that I find fun, like elemental handbuff paladin. It's not a good deck and I don't win much, but I enjoy the play style. For some people winning is the most fun, in which case find a good meta deck and have at it. It's all about knowing how you can get the most enjoyment out of the game and then not letting other people's expectations and judgment get you down.

Thought I was rocking it with my Guldan deck, then Anduin showed me the light ... er, shadow?

I personally have hung out in chat after a stream ends. Sometimes for the luls sometimes because I have just had the stream on in the background and can't be bothered to switch over and close it out.
Viewbotting is a serious accusation and I think it shouldn't be thrown around so lightly

With the new pack and legendary rules, you are guaranteed in first 10, 1 guaranteed every 40 thereafter. So in 90 packs you can expect 3 legendaries and in 130 packs you can expect 4. The averages will be a bit higher, but I think it's good to go in with the minimum expectations since someon has to be on the low and (and it feels like its typically me! [confirmation bias].
Personally, I opened 87 packs and only got 3 legendaries (Anduin, Archbishop, Arfus). Below average? Probably, but not lower than expected.

Two Big Questions to ask for each legendary:
(1) do you plan on opening any packs from the set the legendary is from again? If so, keeping it will prevent you from re-drawing it again. For example, I would not dust Onyxia because you get classic packs from tavern brawls and this card has seen play (and is often good for brawls/pve content).
(2) do you have a need for the dust now? If you don't have an immediate need for the dust, then keep the card until you do. I think its a good idea to only dust cards when I need to craft something else to make a deck I am actually playing with work/be better. Otherwise, hold out to prevent drawing dupes, to keep the card in case it suddenly finds a use, or on the off chance it gets changed so you get more dust back for it.

I always love references, here are some of my favorites in KFT:
