tomiathon posted a message on BlizzCon 2018 Opening Ceremony - Hearthstone Expansion AnnouncementPosted in: Newsi literally could not disagree any more. i had less than ZERO hype for boomsday, and the trailer for boomsday was the worst ever. this looks INFINITELY better and the trailer may be the best one yet for hearthstone (at the very least it holds its own with the top ones from the past)

notsoclutch posted a message on The HearthPwn Boomsday Project Community CompendiumPosted in: NewsOf the top 10, there are 4 that I wouldn't bet on being in the meta at all: Lab Recruiter, Dreampetal Florist, Academic Espionage, and Luna's Pocket Galaxy. 2 cards that may be in the meta, but are interchangeable with other tools: Juicy Psychmelon and Omega Assembly. And the final 4 cards, while strong, don't feel at all deck defining or essential. Meanwhile, cards like Soularium and Giggling Inventor (2 of the best cards of the set) aren't even top 20. The community never fails to amaze me.

Atmaz posted a message on Faeria - Strategy Card Game (now on Nintendo Switch)Posted in: Other GamesDo the expansions play out like a HS adventure? Like rewarding users for completing solo content? I'm a sucker for that stuff. Also, does the game currently (or planning for the future) have 4+ player fun modes?
While one of our previous expansions is constructed like this (advance through a campaign vs unique bosses to unlock cards), or latest expansion does not. It's possible we could create more of this in the future, but Fall of Everlife is strictly 40 new cards to build decks with.
Quote from cyberflash12>>Hey, atmaz I just have a couple of questions about the game!
1. What sets your game apart from games in the same genre such as Hearthstone and gwent.
Well the biggest difference has to be the fact that Faeria takes place on a board. Just by having the board alone makes Faeria a much different game from more traditional card games. You could argue it is more of a turn-based strategy game than a digital card game - but it certainly has elements of both.
But it's not just a board, it's a living board. That means players make each map as they go. On that same board there are important areas to control called "Faeria Wells" that add to your resources and allow you to play more cards.
Finally, there is the Power Wheel. The Power Wheel gives the player a choice each turn to either create land, gain Faeria, or draw a card.
Put all of this together and you have a game where every single turn you have thousands of potential lines of play. The job of the player, of course, is to filter out only the best of those lines of play and go with one they think puts them at the best chances of winning. The end result is that you should feel some sense of improvement or learn something after every game you play that helps you next time.
2. Do you see longevity in this game and do how long into the future do you think you would be supporting it game with expansions, I would love to give it a go and if I knew you would be rolling out expacs I would be more then happy to give it a shot!
Starting this summer we're committing ourselves to monthly content. It's a big change for us, but we have every intention to continue supporting our game in such a way for the foreseeable future.
3. Is your game's community active, for example would I be able to find a game fairly quickly when searching?
Queue times vary during the time of day, but most times you can easily find a game within 2 minutes - often much less depending on your ranking.
4. I know you work very hard on getting an Esports scene considering you offered prizes to the winner, Does your game have a ladder system and arena system so a Hearthstone player like myself could ease into a new card game.
Yes! In fact, our seasonal ladder just reset today. We have official rankings at our esports page here, but the list is just about empty due to today's reset.
5. Not so much a question as me saying good luck with your future, all the best, I'm sure you'll do well considering you are talking to the community! I'd love to give the game a shot as it seems like a breath of fresh air!
Thank you very much!

Routanne posted a message on I entered the Monster Hunt already [SPOILERS AHEAD]Posted in: General DiscussionAs the title says, the pictures contain spoilers from Monster Hunt.
Hey everyone, so apparently Monster Hunt isn't supposed to be out for 2 weeks, but it let me enter right into it. I can see all of the hero's hero powers, I even saw one of the first boss's hero power. I've added some of my screenshots to prove it.
I'm not sure what else to say, so enjoy it. Btw, I didn't do anything special, I was looking at the adventures tab, and it was just there for me to click on.
