This thread made me realise that many people don’t read OP at all.

Well, your original question is kind of "stupid". While you can see how many games everyone played - you can rank it by yourself, or am i wrong?

I think you're very wrong because what you just said makes no sense.

How am I going to judge what's a ''Low and High'' amount of wins based off the 15 people who posted their total wins ?

Been playing since beta, 21271 total wins , 4142 arena, only Rogue and Warlock golden, 11635 total wins with Rogue insanely addicted to the class.

Those who started in Beta like me (and that play almost every day for gold) can reasonably be around 20k winds. For months all you had to do was to play secret paladin and just win.

Btw only meta deck i played once was Odd Rogue and i regret it so badly it's such a dumb deck, i have 33x legend with decks made by myself, never ever netdeck in my life.

Why do I have a hard time believing that statement ?

Given that they reached Legend at least once and knowing the kind of grind you need to do to achieve it, I think they earned the right to wear that card back whenever they want. I don't do it myself but I'm just saying those guys have all the right to do it.

     Yes! i think so too!

I understand that, but imagine a guy proudly wearing his Legend card back beaten by a rank 18 (or actually being stuck near that rank) I'd be ashamed.

No - cause everyone can beat anybody - Why should anybody be ashamed if the loose wearing a legend card back?? Nobody is unbeatable - hell , Legenplayers and of course Tournament Players etc. - loose too  - so i personaly would not be ashamed loosing with the legend card back!

Except that this card back is ''supposed'' to show that you're an elite and you really aren't if you're rank 18

Dude, you take this videogame too seriously...

And you think you don’t ? You’re posting on a videogame forum..

    Yes, it is insane.

You don't have that many wins... give me a proof...

     If you insist.

All those 60 second pirate warrior wins

Honestly I’ve been playing since may 2015 and have 12.7k wins, if he’s been consistently playing since beta 20k makes sense

Thats pretty strong mate. I bet that won't be topped.

There's 1 user in hearthpwn who has over 30k wins, that's off-topic though since it has nothing to do with my OP.

    For me is

    1. Low: less than 1000

    2, Average: between 1000 and 5000

    3. High : between 5000 and 10000

    4. Very High : between 10000 and 15000

    5. Insanity: more than 15000

I somewhat agree with your numbers.

I've seen plenty of threads that ask how many total wins do you have.

How many total wins in HS would you consider to be

    1. Low

    2. Average

    3. High

    4. Very High

    5. Insanity

As for the topic at hand, I'm of two minds about it:

    • It seems rude to "flaunt" your Legend cardback when up against those in the really poor ranks and/or newer people. Especially the golden heroes in the 20+ ranks; you hit Legend and have 500+ wins, why are you Rank 24?
    • Beating them in such situations feels especially good, and what cardbacks people use is not something I can control so getting upset about it seems like a waste. I wouldn't be in the shit ranks myself if I took the time to grind myself forward, so it's not impossible that someone could fall back from not-caring or being away from the game.

If I take a few months off HS, how exactly am I able to turn off the Golden Hero portrait? (I have all of them golden; and it's not an achievement that somehow shows you're a good player, it's simply that you played a long time - and/or a lot of with a certain class...it could even not mean you're experienced with the current most popular deck of the class - for example I have around 2.5k wins with Paladin, and around 2k are from way back before and during Naxxramas when I played only Control Paladin).

The game has been out for 5 years, I don't think having all 9 golden heroes is an achievement at ALL. I don't even feel it shows you've been playing for a while.

That's why blizzard needs new tiers of cosmetics at 1000, 1500, 2000 wins.

The Legend card back doesn't bother me when I see it at lower ranks, I don't think it's necessarily indicative of skill. There are only two card backs that get an instant gut reaction from me - Heroic Karazhan players tend to be quite good, and players with the Secret Level back are always obnoxious.

I use the Heroic League of Explorers card back most of the time, it's by far my favourite.

Interesting, non of the Heroic Adventures are that hard. I'm surprised you didn't say the Golden Celebration card back instead. When you face someone with those, you know you are in for a hard time.

And the Secret Level card back is cool, I should use it sometime. Nice reminder.

     Best card backs are:

Golden Celebration - Dalaran Flame - Power Core

I'm curious. I have hit legend multiple times, and find it's fairly easy to do with the new system where you are always at rank 5 at the beginning of the season if you have hit legend.

If you've hit legend multiple times, how come you aren't aware that you start at rank 4 when you reach Legend and not rank 5 ?

Don't care, you can play that card back at any rank, I care whether you use that card back and play your game correctly or not, that is what I take some attention to.

I personally use the Legend card back with specific decks, regardless of Rank. If I'm going with a deck I personally see as a deck that is worthy of that card back, I'll use it, otherwise no. I also use it when I'm with a 35 Legendaries deck, for obvious reasons, and also the fact that I don't own the Golden Celebration card back.

(Decks I use it with include normal Burn Freeze and Infinite Burn Mage, Miracle and Oil Rogue, most Malygos Combo decks, Patron Warrior, and a few others.)

I personally think it looks best with a golden warrior and maybe rogue too.

you are missing the point of games.

     Care to elaborate ?

Legend card back in low rank are almost always tier 1 aggro decks with autoplays and dumb decisions. In wild a golden warrior hero is always pirate. So I know, I have to mulligan for my board clears.

Anyway they are not so good players. Today at 20 rank I did meet Mecha'thun druid with legend card back. I had 1 minion on board - 2/4 Acolyte of pain, that druid did cast Naturalize on him and then got beaten by Lich king, because he couldn't remove him, lol.

But you just said there's no skills in the game so how can he be ''not so good''

Yeah, right. Even with such bad plays he did reach legend.

Maybe he did it 2 years ago with aggro shaman or pirate warrior while being bad at the game.

Maybe he bought his account or got someone to boost  it for him.

Just because you met someone that's shit with the Legend card back, that doesn't mean the average level player of those currently in Legend are bad.

The fact that you're able to reconise that he made some obvious mistakes PROVES that there are skills involved in the game. The difference between a good and bad play is made by skills.

I did not say that there's no skill at all, I mean to achieve that legend no skill is required.

Then I misunderstood when you said ''Skill in childly game where people netdecking even for PvE brawl where you can get pack for losing? Even laboratory hamster can play these zoo lock or Baku rogue.''

I don't think it's fair to say that it doesn't take skills whatsoever, however, it's true that even bad players can achieve it by just brainlessly aiming face with their stupid baku rogue even ignoring obvious better plays.
