After 5 games ( 2 buff Paly, 2 face hunter, one ele shaman) I am 0-5 and dead by turn 7-8. I’ll keep trying because I want to have fun with this deck. So far I can say that it’s very conditional and the weak minions you can play before setting everything up aren’t going to do well in this meta. Im also playing in casual to get used to it… but you can’t escape the net deckers even there. I guess I need to get better because I don’t understand how one can reach Legend in this aggro dominated meta. Is Malygos ok to cut? I haven’t lived long enough to use it. I get in my hand every game by like turn 2-4 and it’s just a dead card. I usually get the empress too and don’t have the tickets in my deck. Maybe I’m just having stupid unlucky card draws…
Tickatus is a whole new level dumb. The murloc isn’t that bad. I understand the Op’s decent… but my experience has been pretty 50/50… sometimes he pulls a big body and sometimes it doesn’t pull anything at all.
But back to Tickatus… horrible for the game and I’ll rejoice when it rotates. I can’t even play it… it really feels dumb to play so I turned it into dust.
I don’t have KE or Darkglare… subbed Backfires and I’ve done surprisingly well in 5 games only loosing one because of my own misplays. It’s really strategic in its self-damage vs. lifesteal play and overall pretty fun to pilot. I rarely play Warlock so it has taken me a bit to grasp the archetype overall… but this deck was nicely done!
Exactly... I’ve said before that if you can’t take Warlock to Legend then you simply need to practice and be better. Right now, Warrior will kick it’s b-hole...but it simply has all the tools needed to reach legend. J-Rock alone is a win condition... regardless of all the other ways to win. Warlock players need a zoo deck... that’s on their level.
At the moment, I only get a full refund for Crabrider... spring water, hysteria and others are still at the normal refund (10 instead of 40). Is anyone else seeing this? Is there something different about this round of changes that isn’t allowing a full refund?
Update: all my nerfed cards now show a full refund... just delayed I guess.
I’m missing Lady and Fireheart... I’m assuming there aren’t any good subs for both? What about Gidra or mana totem... etc... something that really only serves as a target and not to actually cause much damage?
I love the idea and play style of this deck. But I don’t have the resources to craft both rn.
I have beat it with DH, weapon shaman and with warrior because, as you said, it struggles with weapons...but, in my experience, it easily outplays both Paladins and Mage (assuming high rolls aren’t ridiculous) and any hopeful control recipe. So if one grinds through the ranks with warrior to those T1 decks... it should/would be smooth sailing to legend... simply my opinion... I definitely agree that warrior is probably the best deck for it right now. But I like variety and that’s just the way I enjoy the game. To each their own.
I’ll echo P4dge... beating Paladins can be tricky but totally doable if you play around their deck. However, the current Warlock control is oppressive, HS has given Warlock everything it needs to be T1. Removal, healing, infinite primes, and anti-fatigue. Personally, I don’t get a lot of joy out of playing the Warlock deck because it’s boring... powerful... but boring. Hardcore Warlock players should be enjoying this meta and reaching legend regularly. I can’t explain why it’s not T1. I would really enjoy a conversation about how to beat it... but that’s a different topic.
But I digress, there are tools and techs available for beating Paladins. Folks complain about OMYogg... but I’ve seen opponents gets wrecked by its randomness... I myself have been wrecked by its randomness.
This deck, and every other flavor of it, should be the #1 legend deck. I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t make legend with it. Every version of this Warlock deck relies on the same strategy and HS has, without a doubt, given it every tool one would need.
Don’t get me wrong... I love me a good muckmorpher / BIG deck... they’re fun as hell and were somewhat competitive back in the day. Kudos to the creator for thinking outside the meta!
But I’m having very little luck with it currently in this aggro heavy game. I’m <10% WR. I’ve tried adding more removal as well (mainly storm and scheme) but it only marginally helped and still the losses came. But cheating some big minions is always fun! If you can have fun whilst losing, you should give this a try.

Mainly doing the same… which is to say saving it… but I’m getting kinda bored and it’s burning a hole in my satchel!
Card backs could be fun… anyone want to tell us which card backs are worth your gold?

Just curious, what is everyone doing with their gold at this moment? It’s going to vary depending on the situation Saving? Spending?

I will not argue with that at all.

Chill out twisted...you’re getting weird. I can’t help it if you’re not a successful Tick Lock player.
