What is the point of the deck when the galakrond priest is half the cost and better in literally every single matchup.
This deck just auto loses to Galakrond priest on top of that. Just check out NA Grandmasters and LanguageHacker trying to run Highlander Priest against a usual Galakrond priest from Nalguidan week 6. (He had no chance...) The only thing this deck is better at is the Fun you get out of it.TL:DR This deck is just a more expensive yet worse version of Galakrond Priest.
Ive said the same thing about other decks trying to make Hal priest work. Stick to Galakrond, cheaper and way better. -

Same with soul mirror, I think it‘s just too slow. But looking at the stats I‘m 6-0 vs control priests that all use both of those cards. But 50% of the time I‘m getting murozond through invokes or galakrond anyway lol

Wingdude22 posted a message on Let's talk about PriestPosted in: Standard FormatI think the problem with Priest is that if you want to play aggro there are better classes. If you want to play midrange there are better classes. If you want to play control there are better classes. And if you want to play combo, there are better classes.
Generally speaking Priest does well when it has either great control or great combo tools. It has neither at the moment. Or at least not a critical mass of such tools.
Priest probably need either a top shelf board clear or a nice tutor to push them into relevance again.
Agree. Shadow visions and Psychic scream are missed.
Shadow visions and Psychic Scream are certainly not missed.
Psychic Scream was the most broken aoe that probably ever existed in HS , and Shadow Visions helped to reliably get the spells to win their mu like nothing seen before. ( Just imagine how broken it would be in Rogue atm )
The problem with Priest is that IF the class is viable it has usually good anti aggro tools, and by default Priest has good anti Control cards , either by OTKing your opponent or by overwhelming via value with cards like Mindcontrol or other steal effects. That’s why the meta feels relatively balanced. A lot of classes have a chance against each other, and the most viable OTK deck ( Shirvalla Paladin) wich is actually more like a two turn kill, has to interact way more than Priest ever had to do plus it always has to go to fatuige to win consistently.
Buffing more arms was the right choice into the right direction. Strong Minions, Buff effects, and "Board interactive" aoe . Everything else would simply be oppressive and unfun to play against.

Grimestreet posted a message on 5 More Rise of Shadows Budget Decks That Won't Break The Bank!Posted in: NewsThese are simply too weak by going all in on the budget-side. Some total beginners might like them for a bit.
I think the overall community wants lists that are in between the two plans; on the one side super-budget and on the other side full-on expensive meta decks. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Played a version of this with yogg, saved my ass a few times but otherwise very fun. Definitely not for climbing
