    Quote from laadeedaa >>

This stream in particular was terrible. It takes MAYBE 2 hours to play a few games on a non-developers computer to test new card interactions to assure they work properly.

Didn't they say they were playing on a presentation client with all sorts of limitations in place to prevent unwanted leaks?

That doesn't make it ok to not test the interactions they want to show but would mean the interactions work as intended but were not unlocked on that client.

posted a message on Help playing with Mechathun Druid

What I gathered from playing a few rounds is that it is easy to draw many cards and then have issues getting rid of them.

Druid has no Cataclysm and needs to play and kill everything.

Early game it is easy to just sit there and pass, but that fills up your hand real quick and then you run into the issue of overdrawing and decision problems.

Overdrawing can also be an issue should your opponent recognise you as Mecha'thun and ping Accolytes to fill your hand.

In the end it comes down to understanding card interactions and requirements (like you need to have a minion for Earthen Scales) and a deck tracker will do wonders.

Oh ok. I think all return effects are copies of the original minion. Desperate Stand works like Redemption.

There is the infinite Undatakah combo with Prelate and Silverhand Vanguard though.

I dont think desperate stand works, the minion has to inherently have the deathrattle for undatakah to get it.

you can cast Desperate Stand on the undatakah

    Of course, but what for?

You seem to have missed to point why i am asking this question in general. I just wanted to know the interaction. And the reason why i am asking and not trying it out is because is i don't have weasel and undatakah.

My question was not why you would start this topic but why you would want to cast Desperate Stand on Da Undatakah.

I mean the whole topic is about the potential interaction between the listed cards and my questions was what your expectations are, when casting Desperate Stand.

    It's an order problem.

If Rhino is summoned before Warsong, then Warsong gives the attack buff

     [snip]

If Warsong is first then no attack buff as in your situation.

Now this is an interesting inconsistency worth reporting to Blizzard. If the Rhino is dropped, all beasts have charge regardless of whether it was dropped before or after Warsong Commander, so they should get the buff no matter what.

The beast tag comes with the minion and when the Rhino aura resolves, will meet the condition (see below).

BUT it wont work if i get warsong from wandering monster?!  Now I really dont understand!

So warsong is coded like a battlecry where its affect only occur if you summon it from hand. Nevermind I misread that. Youre saying id have to play rhino THEN warsong which is even more unlikely to happen than what did in my game. That still seem like a battlecry effect or order of game recognition is rhino is played-->warsong checks for charge (no charge), rhino gives itself charge thus no buff. Thats pretty weird.

Not like a battlecry but the order it was played in, matters here I think.

If Commander is played first then Rhino, the aura effect from Commander will check for conditions first which are not met as there are not Charge minions.

The other way around any beast will receive Charge from the Rhino and thus qualify for the Commander.

Thanks! I didn't consider that angle. I was thinking along the lines of buffs and ran into the same issue using Charge and Commander.

Read all the cards, none has the keyword Charge.

    Tundra Rhino

No, that isn't Charge - even OP said so. That is an aura effect that applies to all beasts. Real Charge comes natively with the card like King Krush.

posted a message on new 'Complete My Deck' algorithm
    Quote from melheor >>

I hate that the deck builder does not give you the best deck USING the cards you put in, as people would expect. Instead it seems to give you the best deck DESPITE of the cards you already put in. More often than not, there is a synergy between the cards deck builder puts in, but not necessarily synergy with the cards YOU put in. For example, it will keep putting murlocs in your Shaman deck even if your cards have absolutely nothing to do with murlocs.

But what do you consider as the best deck using your cards? If you objectively look at the win rate of the deck, then adding murlocs is the best outcome.

Adding anything else might have supposedly better synergy but not the data to back that up (either no data or data showing a worse win rate).

And then how does the algorithm decide upon a synergy? Are cards marked as synergistic or does the algorithm calculate that?

Even in that case, if you added 10 cards you want to play, the algorithm has 20 cards to fill with better muloc cards – those have less synergy with your cards but much more synergy among themselves.

I wish it could choose the best cards to work with the archetype input you have giving it instead of just working out best cards based on power level and win rates.

Like by choosing Bwonsamdi it shoul create a deck with spirit of the dead and the like with highest win rate instead of giving you a Gallery Priest with Bwonsamdi..

But how would it do that? How should it work out a whole deck from thin air based on a single card?

What even is a Bwonsamdi deck? Should it just give you the deck recipe for surrender to madness?

The algorithm cannot invent new decks, only report the best performing combinations. If the algorithm can achieve a higher perfomance value  by adding Gallery cards, then it will.

posted a message on Good game emote at end of game = bad manner?

    People get mad over emotes.

You think it is a nice greeting at the start, they think it is mockery; you think it is a compliment of their play or surprise over your top deck, they think it is BM; you think it is gg at the end, they think you are rubbing it in.

Children's card game, what can I tell you. /s
