posted a message on They should not nerf Control warrior because...

Yes they should. You shouldn't avoid nerfing one toxic deck in fear of another one taking it's place. I don't think aggro would dominate anyway since there would surely be some Control Shaman or Highlander deck that's good against aggro...and even if aggro does take over at least there was some change and not constant hell whenever we que into Control Warrior with a board control centric deck.

Constantly getting value traded by overpowered rush mechs , warrior randomly getting armor hero power from Boom whenever you finally manage to set up lethal , ALWAYS having an answer to your board no matter how you build it

you go wide --> Brawl , Warpath , Plague of Wrath

you go high --> Shield Slam or one of the 4 Omega Devastators they discovered, oh and those also rush kill your other medium sized minion

you go medium --> Restless Mummy , Supercollider , or any rush mech has you covered.

Whenever you play a deck that tries to take board control ( not just aggro )...it just leads to an endless loop of: you put stuff on board --> they kill it...until you run out of steam / cards in your deck / patience.

Normally I love playing with/against control. But not if it's win condition is ,, I will just kill whatever my opponent plays until they run out of stuff,, . Those are boring to play and toxic to play against.

posted a message on New Mage Card - Cloud Prince

This card is broken, especially in wild. I dont know what they were thinking... giving the class with best burn in the game another insane burn tool. Mage can now kill you at 30 hp from hand in standard without using the super awkward and mana ineficient Pyroblast. The card would still be good if it could only target minons but now its just toxic.

posted a message on August expansion day 1 experience

I've been thinking about doing this for a few expansions now...But the main reason I don't is because I watch a lot of hearthstone streams on twitch. Even if I don't see a new card reveal...a streamer can mention it while answering a chat question or something. So I would end up half-spoiled anyway.

posted a message on Just completed Heroic Heist w/ all heroes!

I did the same a few days ago and it was a whole lot of fun! Whenever I was riding on a bus, or waiting in a line...etc  I would boot up dalaran heist on my phone and play some.

The most fun chapters for me were 4 (because some minions that are normally bad because of their stat lines can suddenly be good or even op) and 5 ( because those four last bosses consistently gave some of the most fun games ever )

The most op passive is definitely the robes. I NEVER lost a heroic run when I picked this passive ( there were some close calls though ) . I actually lost a couple of normal runs with it which is kind of funny but that's just how RNG works.

There were a lot of highlights but the most memorable one for me is the warlock deck with robes and double health passives , the +2 mana crystals anomaly , and a 0 mana Rin, the First Disciple that was always in the opening hand. 90% of games after I assembled this combo pretty much ended after a turn 5 Azari. I would have loved to play the ,,endless run,, mode that Blizz decided against implementing with this deck haha.

posted a message on What your opinion on the Dalaran Heist?

It's a lot more enjoyable than I expected.  When I bought it week 1 I thought to myself ,,Eh  I will probably just clear normal + heroic once and never touch it again since it's so time consuming to actually complete it with every class on every chapter and it's probably just a bigger dungeon run with packs as a reward,,

But here I am on week 3 with every chapter completed on every available class on normal + heroic, and I can't wait for the next chapter. In the last 2 weeks I probably played the adventure way more than ranked and casual haha. it's just so much fun trying out all the different decks you can make and making insane comebacks against the more difficult heroic bosses.

Anomaly mode is a great addition because it lets you play the deck you want with no RNG treasure pick involved.  Oh the anomaly this time is double battlecry? I can play battlecry elemental shaman/mage . Or the double deathrattle one --> Deathrattle Hunter/Priest . Or the Summoning Stone one --> Big Spell Mage ( my favorite one so far ) ... etc.

All in all...I love it. Can't wait for warlock to be available week 4 so I can get in there with my favorite class :)

posted a message on The HearthPwn Tavern Is Closing Its Doors

WHY though?!  Seems unreal that the site I visited pretty much daily for years is closing soon...There was a similar deal with diablofans recently but Blizz pretty much gave up on that game so I understood ( + the admins explained that interest was fading etc... )

There are so many useful things on this site that I use regularly ( best new expansion card reveal updates and discussions , nerf / buff discussions , deck creation and filter system so I can always find an ok deck for my underused but fun legendaries , 80g quest trade thread...etc )

Oh well...all things come to an end eventually... Best wishes to the hearthpwn team and also to everyone in the community we built here. It was fun while it lasted.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Preparation

About time Blizzard did something about Preparation. So many rogue spells were overcosted because this 3mana cheat existed. And there are also rogue spells that get oppressive when cheated out so much. There is no way you can justify Prep giving you 3 mana for a spell when Innervate was nerfed to give only 1.  Even after the nerf I am sure Prep will see a lot of play,  being a 0 mana combo enabler that cheats 2 mana and has spell synergy.

Yes this will nerf every single rogue deck in both standard and wild, but it needed to happen. And now...even if this momentarily kills rogue as a class,  from now on Blizz will be able to design better rogue spells and we won't have to play 2x Prep in every rogue deck.
