posted a message on Card Nerf - Patches the Pirate

I was so concerned Blizz will ignore this problematic card just because it rotates to WIld soon so I am really happy they nerfed it ( I play wild also so I don't want to see it there in like 60% of games ) . Maaaybe it's not enough though...I mean a lot of the time Patches gets summoned on turn 1 and does 1 damage with the charge, so most of the time the nerf will not be that significant. At least the broken Southsea Captain and Prince Keleseth (which should have also been nerfed in my opinion) synergy is not as potent any more because you don't get the 2/3/4 instant damage. Let's hope it is enough.

Fine nerf. Will probably still be played. Maybe only in Tempo Rogue?  Maybe too expensive for pure aggro decks I think.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Raza the Chained

Such a relief this one. No more sitting behind tauints at 30 hp and getting killed in 1 turn with no board presence. It's a significant nerf for Razakus Priest but I think it will still be played ( maybe tier 2? ) . 1 mana Shadowreaper hero power can still deal 6-8 damage per turn pretty easily and that will kill control decks that don't draw a lot of their healing and it can deal with boards from midrange/aggro decks. It will be weaker against aggro/tempo decks before you play Shadowreaper though because no more 0 mana heals from raza for tempo but all those decks will take a hit from Creeper / Patches / Bonemare so that will be fine I guess.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Corridor Creeper

The card is now unplayable in most decks it used to be in but I am happy with that . Too many times against aggro I was like ,,I need to clear this board or I die,, and then 2 creepers come down punishing me for doing something that HAD TO be done that game.  It's still good in evolve shaman or some beast synergy deck so it's not unplayable and when Potion of Madness rotates out the 2 attack will not be as bad as it is now.

posted a message on Patches the Pirate Loses Charge - Four Card Nerfs Coming in February

Blizzard cares about Wild people!!! Plus standard will be more enjoyable until the rotation hits thanks to less Razakus / Patches. Corridor Creeper was an obvious one and Bonemare too. Spiteful Summoner decks will still be annoying but not to the extent of Razakus. The only thing I think they should have also changed is Keleseth...that card is just badly designed + used in too many decks. I guess he will be less powerful when Patches doesn't have charge but still...

Yes! Makes perfect sense to remove demon tag from these obviously demon minions. Doomguard and voidlord are both demons in warcraft so it doesn't make any sense they shouldn't be here.

posted a message on Let's Speculate: Upcoming Balance Changes

Hm... I agree Corridor Creeper should be nerfed ( Probably a mana cost increase, maybe 9 or 10 ) . Its used in too many decks and is also not fun to play against 0 mana 5/5s on turn 3-4 or clear a rogue board so you play around Bonemare and a 9/9 taunt and a 5/5 come down on turn 7.

Ice Block - I will be happy to see it moved to hall of fame ( would prefer nerfed though cause I like playing wild also and the card is just not fun to play against no matter what format ) . Too often do I just sit there with my minions frozen for 2-3 turns , then sit there for 2 more turns to pop 2 ice blocks and then die to direct damage because I didn't draw / don't run enough heals ( or in the exodia variant healing doesn't matter at all, like most of the stuff you do in that matchup...xD )

Gadgetzan Auctioneer - I don't really have a problem with since they HoFed Conceal . I can see it be a problem though if they want to give rogue more good 0 or 1 mana spells .

Spiteful Summoner - It's a really strong card in the midrange mirrors . Aggro doesn't care and control / combo have tools to deal with it . If they do nerf Razakus and Cube/Control  warlock though...then maybe there is no deck in the meta that can deal with it and then the meta goes aggro and I don't think that would be fun ( remember Pirate Warrior dominance days? xD )

Psychic Scream - I just can't fathom why Blizzard printed this card before Razakus rotated out...Firstly it's REALLY powerful , comparable to Twisting Nether in effect but in aggro / midrange matchups it's a lot better because it's cheaper and doesn't care about deathrattles and aggro/midrange don't run enough draw to compensate for a late game board clear. In control the only way this has a downside is if it's a resource battle going to fatigue and then it's pretty much a Vanish that gives you more time, but a lot of the time control decks actually run win conditions other than outlasting threats so a priest can use such a win condition to win the game before the opponent draws back their shuffled minions. Also you can shuffle tokens and such into the opponents deck making their future draws really bad. Aaand it also slots PERFECTLY into the strategy Razakus Priest uses ( a deck that was already really strong and annoying ) . Razakus only cares about drawing their win condition and delaying the game until then. They don't care AT ALL if you can maybe draw your shuffled minions in like 5 turns because you will be dead by that point. So for them it's pretty much a 7 mana silence and destroy all minions + make your draws really bad if there are some tokens on the board. It's a better Twisting Nether ( 95% of the time ) and should priced as such - 9 mana.

Call to Arms - A card hearthpwn neglected to mention for some reason...It's really strong, anyone remember Small-Time Recruits ? For 1 more mana this also plays the minions for you AND they can also be 2 mana minions not just 1. Aggro decks don't really use this but you can also cheat that 2 mana with minions like Dirty Rat and such. This card also has a neat side effect ( like it needed it...) that it also removes cheap minions from your deck so your future draws are better. So the card should cost 5 mana in my opinion.

Alright...I will talk about Cubelock too...the deck that every aggro player hates. The more I play the deck ( my favourite one of the expack ) the more I see how fair it is. So many times against aggro I am like ,,hopefully he doesn't have X and Y in hand to lethal me before my weapon triggers on my next turn,, or ,,hopefully he doesn't have Spellbreaker to ruin my day,, etc . Of course most of the time they do not have what they need and I win but most of the time it's closer than you might think. That's why I think you would kill the deck against aggro if you increased the mana cost even by 1 on stuff like Skull of the Man'ari , Possessed Lackey or Dark Pact. Priest matchups ( Razakus / Dragon OTK / Spiteful / Big ) are all ranging from ok to really bad...OTK decks in general are bad matchups...control decks with transform effects can be prolematic ( Mage and maybe Shaman in the next expack ( it's main problem is Razakus that rotates )). The only strategy that it crushes is the yolo swarm the board , hit face , don't let your opponent do anything fun with their deck...and you know what? I think that strategy SHOULD get crushed by some deck. As you can see on the ladder that stuff is STILL happening ( quite a bit actually ) even with Control / Cubelock existing so it's not like aggro can't be played or something. Now...I am not 100% biased and I can see it becoming a problem if Razakus rotates and some aggro cards I mentioned get nerfed AND nothing arises to contest it in the next expack but I think it would be better to nerf after we see IF it's a problem than now when it's not. I would propose a 2 mana Dark Pact would be enough to make it considerably weaker to aggro ( All other mentioned cards are not all that good without pact so I don't think those deserve a nerf , especially Voidlord...I would argue it would not be played at all if you had to pay for it 9 mana every time ) .

I would love for Prince Keleseth and Patches the Pirate to be changed because they are just bad designs and are also played too much ( Oh I drew Patches so my win rate plummets by like 15% , Oh I got Keleseth and Shadowstep in my opening hand , I guess I have 80% chance to win now) Such huge win % changes shouldn't happen because of 1 random draw and especially not in the first few turns of the game ( this applies to both Standard and Wild ). Sadly I don't think these will happen because it was like this since these cards were released so Blizzard would have changed them by now if they wanted to ( One can hope they changed their mind though! )

posted a message on Does anyone enjoy the ladder anymore?

Ladder is just something I ,,have to,, do each month to rank 5 so I get the golden epic...To be honest I don't enjoy it at all and I always end with a sigh of relief when I am done with it for the month. Not sure what Blizzard can do about the ladder system but I do hope they think of something for next standard year.

posted a message on Nerf Predictions

What I expect to see nerfed?

Corridor Creeper - Probably a mana cost increase / stats reduction. It's used in too many decks and it's a card from a new expansion so it would be in all aggro/midrange decks for a whole year if it isn't nerfed.

Call to Arms - Probably 5 mana. It's used in every single paladin deck ( even in control to thin out the deck so you don't draw cheap stuff in the late game ) and same as creeper will remain so for a whole year unless nerfed.

I still hope they would nerf the interaction between Raza and Anduin just so I don't have to endure another full expansion of ,,I don't care what you do, I will just shoot you through taunts for 30+ damage and you can't do anything about it,, + Blizz can't print any good inspire card cause of the repeatable 0 mana hero power . Also Patches nerf would be nice because even in Wild Blizzard would have to power creep if they don't want every aggro deck to run this neutral forever. Sadly it's pretty likely Blizz will ignore these because ,,those rotate soon,, .

posted a message on [Meta] Voidlord needs to be adresses

There are a lot of things in this game that are ,,game over,, when your opponent plays them, and you CANT even silence/ do anything about a lot of those ( turn 5 Raza --> turn 8 Anduin , turn 2 Keleseth into Shadowstep come to mind ) . Also...news flash: EVERY tier 1 deck pretty much has to have some unbeatable hands, tier 1 decks are generally not always ,,fair,, . If you ask me Cubelock is the most fair tier 1 deck in a long time ( You can silence their cubes/voidlords , remove their weapon , is vulnerable to OTKs...) . Excuse me aggro players but not every deck has to be vulnerable to brainless smorc for it to be balanced.

posted a message on Silence or Bust: How Cubelock Slowed the Hearthstone Meta

If they do not nerf Razakus Priest in Wild I will be very surprised if they nerf wild Cubelock. Razakus is way more oppresive in wild ( You thought you can kill them before they get their Raza and Anduin? Lightbomb and Reno make that pretty much impossible. Also, who needs Velen + Mind Blast + Smite when you can do the same amount of damage with just one card - Spawn of Shadows )

why so mad ? ??? you cant play your aggro decks

After Raza rotation this deck will be OP. Reno required some good decisions, but cubelock stupid as hell. Every silly goose can play this shit. Tons of removal, tons of heals. Easiest combo: weapon-doomguard-cube-pact=gg.
,,All that said, there are significant difficulties in playing the archetype,, You didn't even read the article. Even before reading this I knew the deck was difficult from playing it myself and hearing pros opinions on it.There are always people that think every tier 1 deck is stupid easy to play / cancer / whatever. A lot of the time I agree ( pirate warrior / tempo rogue  in their prime days...etc ) but this time its so blatantly wrong that I have to respond to such comments. Also, we never know what deck will be op in the next expack / rotation..it took only 1 card for razakus priest to be really good in KotFT ( Shadowreaper Anduin ) and 1 card to be op in KaK ( Psychic Scream ) so who is to say that 1-2 cards in the next expack will not make some other deck really strong?

Welcome to combo decks! Where spawning endless 3/9 taunts does not win you the game.

I actually used razakus in my legend climb to counter the plethora of warlocks on ladder, to great success. It felt good to have them heal to 30 and emoting, just to die to Velen anyway.

As for the Darkness, I still laugh at people who think it counters Razakus. Well spent dust, bois.

It's fine if combo decks counter control but not to the extent that you can die behind a wall of taunts at 30 hp.  Aggro counters combo...that doesn't mean that combo decks should die turn 4 to aggro. 30 + unavoidable damage is just too much and should not be possible. There is no good tech choice either ( Mind Breaker is laughable when Priest has so many ways to deal with it without hero power and Dirty Rat needs to get lucky if the Priest keeps a minion or 2 for Velen protection ) .
Blizzard nerfed so many otk strategies before that were less frustrating to deal with so the only reason Razakus is still around is probably because it gets rotated soon. Regardless..I do hope Blizzard nerfes it instead so we don't have to endure another full expansion of Razakus dominance + it's healthier for wild also ( it's even more broken there )
