You are right about that elementals seem like curvestone, but they are actually not since you aren't always going to draw fire elemental into the 4/4 (also the effect isn't that huge) into the kalimator sometimes you will need to choose between using a spell or an unactivated elemental card to get a benefit next turn, which is the interesting aspect.

Peteravens05 posted a message on UnGoro is the make/Break for HearthstonePosted in: General DiscussionIve been playing this game since before Nax and I can say that this is where Blizzard can make a new impression in terms of how they want their game to be for the next year since their making over 3 large Sets, but I think This is the tone that will say alot on how this game will live. Hearthstone at this point since Karazhan has become more and more of example of Blizzard hasnt learned to give different classes Tool to make them better instead of making the current top Decks in meta even stronger, IE Shaman, Warrior Etc . Clearly we have only seen less than 20 cards so we dont know what blizzard's vision will be for the new standard format. there are 2 things that I am begging Blizzard to address for the new format
1. make it so Jade decks keep control decks from being pushed out: I believe most people are thinking that once The new Format Comes about that Jade Decks will be the new form of Midranged that will Keep Control decks at bay current with Reno leaving the format. I pray that Blizzard is aware of this possibly and give us something that can make it so if you are playing a Slow Deck you dont get overrun by jade decks in general. One Suggestion I have is that you could make more board clears that hit a larger Group of minions; Lightbomb Would be a great card to Counter jades; So I think thats the direction in terms of Board clears.
2. DONT MAKE OVERPOWERED ONE DROPS: Blizzard hasnt seemed to learn this Design flaw. Am i saying that there shouldnt be aggro decks in the format? of course not, but Blizzard keeps overpowered 1 mana Cards that make it so that that class has an stupid early game, the fact that; undertaker, Spirit Claws and STB all have been nerfed over the fact they were format warping shows they dont understand how powerful they are. if youre gonna make 1 drops, make them have a dropback of Some kind. Flame imp is a perfect Card to compare; it is a powerful 1 drop but has a drawback to it.
At this point alot of players are tired of playing heartstone for the fact its been almost the exact same kind of format for the last year. The Rotation Will tell us alot about how Blizzard views their designs. I think it would be very disappointed if we saw the Exact same kind format where Jade Decks punish slow decks and Aggro is the way its always been.
Let me know your thoughts.

MmeMemeStone posted a message on A tiny but smart Jade Golem nerfPosted in: Card DiscussionLet it be so their growing stats can be silenced (like the Swordsman's card from a Brawl) :
Not only would it make Mass Dispel a playable tech counter card in Priest (since, given the lack of Lightbomb in Standard, they can't handle a big Jade Golem flood), but it would also have interesting interactions with resurrections (like with Moat Lurker) and Shadowstep-like effects.
Imho Jade Idol deserves this kind of nerf to be fixed: it breaks part of the Hearthstone gameplay with infinite cards (and thus value) in the deck, and even if it is not really abused at the moment by current Jade Druid decks, that fact cannot be denied). And let's also maybe increase its manacost a bit, to nerf its midrange strength and op Gadgetzan Auctioneer interaction.

Vernula posted a message on Priest, Shaman and Paladin Need Their Classic/Basic Set ReworkedPosted in: Card DiscussionYeah.. shaman's just terrible.. TERRIBLE right now?
Reading comprehension much? He's saying that they've tried to compensate for the lack of good cards in Shaman's basic kit by giving them stuff like FwF, Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Maelstrom Portal, and Old Greg (The scaly manfish) and look at how broken the class is now.And that's coming from someone who plays almost exclusively shaman. Don't get me wrong it's supposed to be a SMOrc class (Due to having Bloodlust and all the overhead in the form of Crackle, Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst and the classic Doomhammer + Rockbiter Weapon), but it's kind of gotten ridiculous at this point. -

Zkool posted a message on Priest, Shaman and Paladin Need Their Classic/Basic Set ReworkedPosted in: Card DiscussionThese three classes have the weakest classic/basic set of all the other classes. They are filled with gimmicky cards that don't see much play. As a result they have to rely on the power of the latest expansion because their own cards are complete garbage. For example, rouge got awful cards in Gadgetzan but it didn't matter because their Classic/Basic set is so strong. Meanwhile paladin got bad cards this expansion but doesn't have that many powerful Classic/Basic cards to rely on. As a result, Paladin is not that strong at the moment.
If Blizzard wants these three classes to be viable then they either have to release powerful cards each expansion or rework their classic/basic set. Blizzard has tried the first option with Shaman and look where we are now. -

brich84 posted a message on Best/Worst Hero PowerPosted in: General DiscussionJudging in a vacuum isn't realistic. We need to go on how it actuallly plays out and what type support the powers have.
1. Warlock. It's the best. Card draw in ANY card game is the most powerful ability.
2. Warrior. People may disagree but it is what it is. It's a stacking heal that counters other hero powers. It also has the most support by far and with Justicar this ability becomes the most obnoxious. Healing 4 a turn. If you try to fatigue this good luck. The warrior has so many tools to keep the board clean and answer boards that you better kill them before they get Armor Up online. All warrior decks play enough weapons and CW which is on a major upswing makes use of it all.
3. Mage. I used to think this one was bad. 2 mana for 1 dmg not good. But it's actually great picking off little minions and finishing off bigger ones.
4. Druid/Rogue. Not much to say here. Both abilities are always useful at picking off minions and of course buffing at will hero attack while adding weapons is.
5. Hunter. Not great. Not horrible. Decent when racing and someone plays a taunt. It's nice to bypass that.
6. Shaman. Usually the worst but right now getting the taunt and spell dmg totem is actually quite good in a lot scenarios. Too bad its all very random and half the time you get the ones you dont want like the 1/1 and healing totem.
7. Paladin. This one has been good before but right now its completely useless. So many classes are running little sweepers that this ability is just not good currently. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

are these guys retarded? Can't they realize Patches would be op even if it was a 1/1 without charge?
1
I've been testing this and Im 6-1 so far. Pretty cool deck.
2
No, cancer is the term to something that everyone uses/netdecks that might be overpowered. Stop getting triggered by people using a valid term just because you use one of those decks.
1
Insulting someone without giving an argument, good.
Funny how you can't even see the numbers published by this very same website that proves Paladin is garbage.
2
So much hate, gosh.
I seriously can't give any single fuck if someone cares about me leaving the game or not.
Read my other replys.
What I am criticizing is the fact that since the start of the game, blizzard treated Paladin like he was quantity and not quality, which doesn't make any sense with the lore or common sense. Just because Paladin is better played a way, doesn't mean other ways cannot be played, and I enjoyed slower versions of Paladin a lot more than this shitty zoo. Zoo FITS Warlock. Zoo DOESNT FIT Paladin, even though this is a matter of opinion, its also a matter of common sense.
3
I miss healadin lol but I also miss mid-range. All I wanted is an archetype that is not worse than every meta deck and is not zoo.
1
Don't misunderstand me, I had a decent win ratio with Paladin, I'm not quitting because of my whining, but because I only like playing Paladins, and they are getting shit new cards for a while and now Blizzard wants to push zoo the same way they tried to push murloc Shaman...not going to happen.
2
You're right, I was contraditory. What I meant that when I did follow the forums, no one talked about it, and now that I don't I'm pretty confident they still don't, and I might be completely wrong, but the replys I am getting is proving I am right in this regard.
1
I don't want Paladins to be OP, I want to have a decent archetype for him that is not zooish (which is basically all new cards for him this set).
11
I haven't played for a while because I was hating the meta, my favorite hero is Paladin and since secret Paladin (which I didn't use because I didn't like) there was no strong Paladin theme. Blizzard is trying to push for zoo, really? Paladin has nothing to do with zoo, they were always about quality and not quantity. These new cards are trash and for a class that was almost as bad as Priest imho, this is ridiculous.
I'm not following the forums and the community so I don't know what you guys are talking about and even if this thread that I'm making is redundant I'll state my opinion: I don't see people screaming to blizzard to help Paladin as they did to Priest. Guess what? Priest is receiving clearly overpowered cards, we don't even need testing to see these cards are at least great. Enjoy your Priest meta because I wont be playing until they release decent Paladin cards or at least not zooish and stop doing stupid changes like overpowering a class just because it was weak (like they did to Hunter, Shaman and now Priest).
