Because pretty much every match up is a hard counter, you can get any competitive deck and you will face decks that you simply can't win, even though you have the "overpowered" cards.

Answering your reply to me: If the OP didn't intend to stop nerf threads, what was the point of this thread? What he wants is exactly what every blizzard fanboy wants, people not complaining because it hurts their feelings and they haven't grown enough to realize this is just a game and if people have different opinions fuck it.

Oh please... they are grown ups, they don't need an army of idiots defending them like a bunch of sheeps, when they say they don't want to be "harrassed" what they actually mean is they don't want to become memes like Ben Brode did. Most of the criticism and hate is well deserved, even though I love this game, the incompetence of their team is mindblowing sometimes.

Fair enough, the hero power argument is not the most important one considering you don't want to hero power,  but it is still a thing to consider.

I'd like to add more to the discussion and say that every aggro Paladin deck gets outvalued by any deck (if you don't consider secret Paladin as aggro) and the slow versions of Paladin is just destroyed by nowday's meta.

One more thing, there is a reason to why Paladin decks has always been the decks that use neutral cards the most, that is because most of the class cards for him sucks huge ass. Even cards that were considered good before are now weak compared to new cards (like concecration).

Paladin has the worst hero power in the game, Paladin has no good tempo cards like rogue, Paladin has no good face damage dealing cards, Paladin has no recover mechanics except for clears which is counter intuitive to the Pirate playstyle. Paladin is just shit.

This is comming from someone with more than 3000 Paladin wins.

Every season I reach rank 5, same as you, except for this one.

I took a full day out of my vacation to play only hearthstone and I got legend after like 6 hours non-stop playing. It's really not hard, anyone who can get rank 5 can get legend, all you need is to waste your time.

I hit legend today with this list and oh boy

This deck is fun while not being stupid like full aggro pirate warrior. People added me to insult me because they didn't understand what this deck was about, someone even said "wtf is your deck dude? fuck you". Pretty effective deck against the meta, well done.

I find it funny how little people care about Paladin. Last expansion he was almost as bad as Priest but everybody couldn't stop whining about how Priest was, now that Paladin is by far the worst class in the game, and it gets the worst cards in the expansions, and has the least amount of viable archetypes, people go and say just "Paladin is not so bad, hunter is also bad" or whatever.

As a player who has more than 8000 wins on ladder and only got golden Paladin (to prove how much I play this guy), he has been a shit class for a long time (considering secret Paladin was a stupid meta deck like pirate warrior is now) and right now it's just unplayable.

edit: Oh, and also Paladin is the only class that has 0 synergy with hero power.
