posted a message on Does anyone else hate mage?

In my opion Hearthstone needs cheap neutral hand disruption cards / minions like discard in MtG. Now only Warlock got hand disruption.

In example; 2 mana - Battlecry: Look at opponents hand. Choose one card. Remove it from opponents hand.

This way there is some counterplay (to 'broken' decks). This way you can remove (i.e.) Deck of Lunacy or a C'Thun card from hand. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss, but at least there is some form of counterplay this way. It's up to opponent when to play (i.e.) a C'Thun card. Be greedy and risk the card being removed or be rewarded.

I didn’t lose to Rogue and Paladin today with my Dragon Priest. vs Mage was like 50-50. My worst matchup is Control Warlock with Tickatus. I run both Alex and Ysera. In a few games i played 3+ Alex or Ysera! Priest can generate many Dragons (thus Alex and Ysera)  with i.e. Draconic Studies (and many cards can generate a Draconic Studies) and Skeletal Dragon. On T10 you can both play Ysera AND remove a threat from the board. To me from best to worst; 1. Alex 2. Ysera 3. Maly 4. DW 5. Ony 6. Noz.

Alex specifically is such a bad card, people think it's a better King krush but the truth is, beast tag is much more valuable and synergistic than dragon tag. And the healing version is also trash compared to libram of hope.

Alex is pretty good tbh. If you put it the way you did Alex is King Crush and Libram of Hope in one card. How is that bad??

Also you can’t really say a Beast tag is more valuable and synergistic than a Dragon tag. Comparing ‘tags’ doesn’t make sense at all.

Seriously does no one experiment anymore?  Or do they all just flock to the streamer decks now without even trying something of their own?

Pretty much. I am, however, an exception. I play Dragon Priest.

posted a message on Why can't Blizzard balance hearthstone as well as WotC balances Magic the Gathering?
    Quote from Nihenna >>

There is probably a meta even in magic on higher levels, but with Hearthstone there's even a meta of viable decks even on a casual level, unlike Magic.

Erm, what do you mean? Casual in Hearthstone is just Ranked bout without a ladder.

In other words you hardly see a fun / orignal deck in casual... All the same as ranked.

    As for your question.

Wizards acts after a (out)cry from the community (Uro, Oko, Omnath anyone) and Blizzard refuses (Tickatus, Dragonqueen Alexstraza, Edwin anyone).

Also Wizards looks at deck performances and informs the community, so we get the feeling they are keeping an eye on the balance of the game. Blizzards sucks at communication with their community, so no feeling here at all...

posted a message on Is battlecry quest shaman good?

There indeed a lot of versions and it depends on personal preferences / playstyle.

I noticed the Pen Flinger version is picking up. That list is, in my opinion, more a tempo / mid range list and not a combo deck like i am playing. When the Quest rotates out i probably look for a different Shaman list.

But again, i don't have that much trouble vs. Aggro. Too me the match-up is 50-50.

All of those decks let me play Y'Shaarj.

    Some tips:

Use your early battlecry minions to trade early game.

Dunk Tank, Sky Gen'ral Kragg to clear board mid game.

Run two Earthquakes to clear board mid and late game (which i do).

Run one Witch's Brew (which i do).

Don't be afraid to use a Circus Medic to heal.

    PS

That you don't have succes with the deck doesn't mean others do. Also how can you say aggro never let me play Y'Shaarj? I already said i have a good experience with the decks and that didn't mean i never get to play Y'Shaarj.

Who is underrating it tho? I think everyone can see the card is really good

i know its a really good card, but i say its more than it, its a deck defining card.

its a Flexible no commitment card that is addressing a big issue in warlock.

yes they are gonna tell you warlock has draw, doesn't need it and blahblah but not war has nothing other than Backfire

It is about your statement. In my opinion the card is not getting underrated. I guess you feel people underrate the card.

Also what issue does it address? Warlock already had enough draw. It might be a better draw card but it is still draw.

I doubt it will be a meta defining card, but time will tell.

posted a message on How will control and greedy decks even exist for a year with Tickatus?

    Quote from Nihenna >>

What were they thinking over at Blizzard? The problem isn't really Tickatus. It's the ways to copy it. Y'shaarj, felosophy etc. Losing 5 cards is okay. Losing 10, or even 15 cards, though, is not.

I also like the design of Tickatus, but i agree with this.

Also because decks in Hearthstone have only 30 cards. You have a similar effect in MtG, but in MtG you decks contains 60 cards and you have cards to shuffle back cards from your graveyard to your library. When they come up wih cards like Tickatus then they should also come up with cards to (re)fill your deck.

posted a message on new card; Backfire underrated

How did you get the idea people think this card is underrated?

Pretty sure most people think this cards is pretty good (read: nuts).

In my opinion Warloch didn't need another (crazy) good draw card...
