posted a message on Kalimos, Lyra, Sherazin, or Wickerflame?

Finally managed to scrape up 1.6k dust. I can't decide which one of these legendaries I'd craft next. I want them all, but only have enough dust for one of them.

So, if you were in my shoes, which one would you choose?

    Kalimos, Primal Lord,

    Lyra the Sunshard,

    Sherazin, Corpse Flower,

    or Wickerflame Burnbristle?

    Thanks!

posted a message on Rat Pack: Must Craft?

After an entire expansion's absence, hunter is back in the meta!

I've been looking at the recent midrange hunter lists and I noticed that Rat Pack has found its way into most deck lists.

Now before I go craft a pair of them, I'd like to seek a second opinion first among the Hearthpwn community: as the title says, is Rat Pack really a must craft? Or could I still play a successful deck without them? 800 dust seems a steep price to pay (half a legendary) if it's not something really game-changing, so I'm trying to avoid "buyer's remorse" before taking the plunge.

    Thanks!

posted a message on Legendary Crafting Advise

I'm having a similar dilemma right now mate. I have a post here as well on a similar topic. Based on the feedback I got, among your choices Cenarius would be the first pick. Al'Akir the Windlord would be second.

I have Rhonin, and based on experience he's kinda slow. Even as an Archmage Antonidas trigger. He's more of a fun card, to be comboed with Malygos. 24 dmg Malygos Missile Massacre is a feast for the eyes.

    Quote from AbusingKel >>

Fun factor would definitely favor Nexus-Champion Saraad and Confessor Paletress. Both have the same drawback, in that you can get useless crap but Saraad is actually worse in that regard (say hello to Totemic Might, my non-Shaman friend! lol). Personally, I still do not regret crafting Paletress and always go back to her with an eye towards building something that protects her. Even a bad legendary is more useful than that Savagery that's dead in hand.

Al'Akir the Windlord is still a great finisher and he or Cenarius are good choices since they'll always be playable. Nothing super exciting with either, though Druid does have lots of token builds right now and dropping Cenarius on a full board would certainly be fun stuff.

Sneed's Old Shredderhas to be a top choice if you play wild. He has great stats, a great DR, and with the rise of N'Zoth he gets to do it all several times. If I had him, he'd be an instant add to my Kel N'Zoth deck.

Soggoth the Slitherer was a dud in my eyes because I thought he'd be too late to the party. However, things have slowed a bit and I read a write up that has me second guessing my original reaction. His high health can force bad trades and plays (according to said post) and that certainly has potential to change games for you. 5 attack is enough to kill most things that get rammed into him, too.

Skycap'n Kragg would be last on my list. Pirates.... sure they can be fun now that there are enough to matter, but it's really just a theme deck and they're just not as cool as dragons. :D

My recommendation would be Paletress for fun factor - and the deck building challenge of keeping her alive!

My recommendation for high risk/reward would be Soggoth.

Great points there mate! I'd certainly love to have a complete Randuin Wrynn deck someday for the fun factor! :D I suppose the one thing that Saraad has over Paletress is the fact that he's a neutral legendary (useable perhaps for some lighthearted versions of Control Warrior or Grinder Mage). But definitely, I shall craft them both. I'm just on the fence regarding the order for now.
Love your points about Sneed's too! Man I'd love to be able to complete that deck combo as well!

posted a message on Craft Nexus Champion Saraad?

I've been thinking about Cenarius as well. I guess the only thing holding me back is the fact that he might drop from a Classic pack from Tavern Brawl or "Watch and Learn" daily quests. Lol.

Al'Akir the Windlord, I would have to agree with too. I'd love to have him someday. It's just that I never could mentally justify dropping 1.6k dust on him.

How about the other GVG/TGT/WOG legendaries? Thoughts?

posted a message on [WOG] Chillmaw: Still Worth Crafting? (Standard and Wild)

Thanks mate! Serously considering crafting him now for ladder, together with Nexus-Champion Saraad for funsies. :D

Regarding the DW,DL deathrattle + other dragons' (Nef, Alex, etc) battlecry issue, I might actually consider teching in a Nozdormu instead. 15 seconds of opponent's panic from dropping from DW,DL's deathrattle might be just enough to seal the game.

posted a message on Crafting Order: Epics

Among this list of epics, which one would you prioritize crafting and in what order? I play both Standard and Wild, both for ladder and for funsies. I'm looking to fill the gaps in my collection, with emphasis on the good cards before the "fun" cards. Thanks!

    Snake Trap

    Lock and Load

    Forbidden Flame

    Lay on Hands (second copy)

    Forbidden Shaping

    Shadowcaster

    Elemental Destruction (second copy)

    Piloted Sky Golem (second copy)

    Hobgoblin

    Recombobulator

    Kodorider (only one copy maybe?)

    Garrison Commander

    Twilight Summoner

posted a message on Craft Nexus Champion Saraad?

In today's meta, is it still a good idea to craft Nexus-Champion Saraad? I play both Standard and Wild, both ladder and funsies.

I have most of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 legendaries, and am filling out the gaps in my collection. Of course, I'd like to start with useful cards before going for the absolutely "fun" (slightly garbage) legendaries like Lorewalker Cho. I have enough dust for 2 legendaries.

If your answer is no, what do you think of these other legendaries:

    Cenarius

    Al'Akir the Windlord

    Confessor Paletress

    Sneed's Old Shredder

    Skycap'n Kragg

    Soggoth the Slitherer

Thanks friends! May the RNG gods always smile on you!

Next question: How about Deathwing, Dragonlord? To craft or not to craft?

Also, what is a reasonable substitute from Arcane Blast?

posted a message on [WOG] Chillmaw: Still Worth Crafting? (Standard and Wild)

Finally saved up 1600 dust again. Want to try my hand at playing dragon themed decks.

So, as the title says: is it still worth it to craft Chillmaw? I play both standard (ladder) and wild (casual for funsies and quests).

EDIT: To clarify further, I already own BRM and a few of the classic legendary dragons: Ysera, Alexstrasza, Malygos, and Deathwing. Do I still need to craft Chillmaw? Or are there any other better dragons to craft instead?

posted a message on Disabling Golden Heroes

Now I may be in the minority, but I wish there was a way for us to choose to disable golden heroes. After all, if we can choose which cardback to use, why can't we choose whether or not to display our "golden-ness" right?

I ask this because sometimes I don't like to "reveal" my golden hero whenever I'm goofing off with a fun deck for shits and giggles. For some reason, opponents seem to tryhard and BM more whenever they see a golden hero (or legendary cardback for that matter). If we are able to hide our "legendary-ness" simply by selecting a different cardback, why not do the same for golden heroes right?

I know earning a golden hero is a reward and all, but I just wish we had the choice whether or not to use it.

    Your thoughts?

posted a message on Does anyone prefer non-golden cards in general?
    Quote from dingo34051 jump

imo... don't play golden cards unless your entire deck is gold.

As far as golden heroes, absolutely cool.

I wish they would give us the option to toggle between golden heroes and non-golden ones. It's hard to play with off-the-wall fun casual decks with a golden hero. Most opponents either put their tryhard mode on (be all serious) or spam emotes/BM and then gloat incessantly for beating a fun deck (e.g. Zombie Pirate Ninja Robot Warrior) with their copy-paste netdecks.

If I had the option to "turn off" the golden animation, I would. It would make playing casually a more pleasant experience. I actually had to stop playing Druid on the ladder just to avoid turning golden.
