There was so much interaction and people sharing ideas and stuff, been a while since hearthstone had a deck that got this much attention and discussion on this site

BuymyDVDs posted a message on Lightshow 2.0Posted in: Lightshow 2.0Alright! I played 20 games just like you did and went 9 wins 11 losses. This deck is a bit too winmore for my particular tastes. When your lightshows are rolling and Sivara is doubling up on them it feels unstoppable. When my opponent plays a 4 mana 7/7 and all I have in my hand is two Arcsplitters and a Rewind with no spells cast we start to see the problems with winmore cards.
Positives
I like the Arcane Artificer a lot, I'll probably find room for it in my elemental deck. The extra 3-8 armor helped me last one extra turn to pop off with more than once. You can also play him out on 1 and make your opponent feel like they have to answer it. It's better than Glacial Shard I bet
Nightcloak Sanctum is also a good direction, stall the 4 or 5 damage to face during the mid game. Skeleton tokens help to shore up some board if your beams leave a 1 or 2 health minion behind.
Bloodmage Thalnos was a pretty interesting card. Boosting lightshow to shoot 3 damage beams for only 2 mana actually helped clear a few boards I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
I'm neutral, leaning negative, on Cosmic Keyboard. Your deck has better things to be spending it's turn 2 developing. The tokens spawned from it really didn't change the outcome of my matches. Occasionally when my draw stranded me, the keyboard was able to stand in for some of the other 2 drops for board presence, but it would be my first hard cut from the deck.
Negatives
Commander Sivara is too winmore, when she was full of lightshows I honestly didn't need them as the arcane package was rolling along and duplicating them faster. When she isn't full of lightshows, she's a dead card in hand and you often throw a Stargazing in her that you don't actually want a copy of.
I'm missing the Magister's Apprentice. Being able to drop one or both and play free stargazings and 1 mana lightshows can swing the board back to your advantage, draw through your deck, and pump up the lightshows for your rommath turn. Another thing I was dearly missing was Greedy Partner. In a deck almost entirely made of 2 drops, she can turn your awkward turn 3 or 5 plays into amazing tempo turns. Extra coins are also great for smoothing out Stargazing if you hit lightshow without enough mana to cast it.
Aegwynn and Vexallus AND Sivara all in one deck seems like overkill. You say it aptly yourself, they are wincon amplifiers. Well, what happens when you try to amplify nothing? You get nothing. If you're already winning, ONE of those cards would help you secure the victory. When you're losing, getting stuck with 2 amplifiers when you have nothing else in hand feels really bad.
I was stuck at 2-4 cards in hand most games. I was really missing my Shale Spiders and Unchained Gladiators to refill my hand and continue casting.
The arcane bolt package is bait. For the amount of times I cleared a pivotal 1 or 2 drop from my opponent, I just as often screwed my rewind and couldn't grab lightshow when I needed it. out of my 9 wins exactly one of them was Vexallus + 3 bolts for lethal.
I don't really get the Vicious Slitherspear in this deck. I assume you just wanted a 1 drop minion. It doesn't really have synergy with much of anything in the deck. We only run the 6 spells, and no coin generators!
In summary,
I learned quite a lot from playing your list actually! I know the negatives section was a little long, I'm really not trying to start any beef. We're both lightshow enjoyers at the end of the day. I'm going to use my gained knowledge to better my own list, and I hope you do the same! ggs, have a good one

Sableflame posted a message on Lightshow 2.0Posted in: Lightshow 2.0Half the time, this deck wins before you can even cast Rommath. My concern with the Taelan/Rommath combo is that... until you even get to 9 mana, it's a dead card in your hand.
Between Gold Panner, Stargazing (especially if you've got a Rewind or Deputy extra copy), and even the one draw from Thalnos (since he's usually murdered moments after he's dropped), you're churning through your 30 cards fairly quickly, so finding Rommath doesn't ever feel like it's hard.
Plus, that's also why Arcane Wyrm, Arcsplitter, Vexallus, Aegwynn are in the deck, aside from simply board presence... so in the rare case you can't pull Rommath (or you haven't spammed enough Lightshows to make dropping him worthwhile), you've got a flood of 1-mana face shots to finish with.
Sivara is almost never a dud - even if you get her late, you've still got copied Lightshows or spawned Arcane Bolts in hand... With 10 mana, you can cast Bolt, Bolt, Bolt - drop Sivara to get them back - Bolt, Bolt, Bolt. That's 18 damage (assuming Sivara isn't buffed by Aegwynn or Aegwynn/Thalnos isn't in play) plus a 3/5 body.

BuymyDVDs posted a message on Lightshow 2.0Posted in: Lightshow 2.0Excited to see some iteration on this idea, that's what deck building is all about! I'll give your list some games and see how it feels. Maybe learn a thing or two for my own list. Like the usefulness of Commander Sivara, I've always been on the fence with her. I am a little worried you cut Taelan Fordring as tutoring Rommath can easily be your wincon too.

Wow I want monk to be in hearthstone!
Congrats on making these lovely cards!

For Studies, I didn't get what it meant at first when it said:
"Discover a spell. Your next one costs (1) less"
Why not make it clear and say instead:
"Your next spell cost (1) less, or your next minion costs (1) less"?
Something like that so we can understand what it does at first glance.
The word "One" is not clear enough.

For me it is heal druid

Great! I was just expecting an effect of "This card is from another class" (which might only be useful for rogues)
But a lot of effects are way better! <33

I'll be happy to see mage/rogue secrets!

That's sad... every member of a development team needs appreciation too!
They make the game appealing and fun!

A mode involving old and new cards that is not TOO WILD and not TOO STANDARD is OK.
