Leveling up the mercenaries, collecting coins and completing tasks feels rewarding... but the game is not fun to play IMO. Every battle quickly starts to feel the same. It's definitely a mode that is designed for making people addicted to that hit of dopamine you get for completing small tasks etc.
I usually LOVE PvE content. I have spent hours playing Dungeon Run, Rumble Run, Dalaran Heist and Tombs of Terror. I really liked playing though the Books of... as well. But this? It's not for me. Probably because it's not a card game.
I still don't understand why Blizzard have turned Hearthstone into a platform for mobile games rather than just making an entirely new game. It feels so clunky - the fact that there are two shops (both of which sells mercenaries pack, but only one who sells Hearthstone packs), different places for daily tasks/quests, and that you're opening coins in packs, which doesn't really make any sense... I think they could have made a better game by making it entirely its own thing.

Has Blizz publicly stated this is how its coded into the game ? (Honest question)
And even if this is the case, they did replace the golden legendaries from the Mega bundle with undustable Signature cards, which is a decrease in value.

Even with the coin and card advantage going first has an overall better winrate.

They really f'ed up with the gold requirements. They added yet another gold sink but still no new ways to generate gold.
If they wanted to gate features behind currency they should have created a new one. The way they did it makes it so f2p have choose between hearthstone and the new mode.
People were defending new game modes in HS by saying its just like having a little hub with different games in it. The dfference is , if I play an actual different game I get seperate currency incomes depending on the time you spend playing, here theres a limit to how much you can recieve, however the ways to spend keep increasing with each game mode.
I paid a preorder. How the fuck does that not include all the features of the mode ?!
If this doesnt get fixed this is just another mode im going to permanently ignore like duels.

That’s as meaningful for me as if Billy Platzoff told me that I should go vegan.

TBH, the change to N'Zoth is more of a nerf than a buff, sure, now you can play it a turn earlier if you wanted to play it on curve (Which never happens because you usually want the 10 mana elemental in your grave pool before playing N'Zoth, or you can play a 1 mana card along with it (Negligible) . On the other hand now you can't corrupt your clowns with this card Which was a BIG upside of playing this card.
I really don't understand this change.

Midrange Hunter back in Un'Goro

Man this set is seeming really weak. I'm seriously considering skipping this pre-purchase and just buy with gold enough packs to get all commons and rares and then just craft the relevant missing cards.

Well, this will probably get nerfed a week after release, since priest isn't allowed to keep its nice things.

This plus Bonechewer Brawler on turn 2 is insane. You get to protect this card and if your opponent doesn't remove it you get to to bring down a 5 drop like Teacher's Pet or Greybough on turn 3 to corrupt your soon to be 1 mana 5/6. Seems like very good tempo.

Man, Wyrm Weaver seem a bit too strong at that mana cost. It was already playable at 5 mana, at 4 mana for those stats it´s going to be broken.
