Nah, that might be one of the most absurd things I've seen on this forum. Leroy Jenkins is one of the most iconic, if not THE most iconic card in hearthstone's history. Not bringing him back for HS's anniversary would be like having a Mortal Kombat game without Scorpion and Sub-Zero, or a Rambo movie without Rambo.
Btw, how on earth would a FREE card make Blizzard "soak up the $"?
I had this happen to me quite some time ago. Apparently it has something to do with the deckstring. Try remaking the deck manually (not copying), that should help, at least if that's the same issue I encountered.
What's up with Blizzard bots though? Why do they exist? And what kind of decks do they run usually?
Blizzard bots exit to fill the queue in either very low mmr or unpopular gamemodes - I didn't see any in twist so far, but casual was filled with bots. They play basic ladder decks. As far as I'm concerned, it's usually different variations of Death Knight with mostly core cards.
It's also noteworthy, that there are significantly more bots on American servers, which I don't know the reason for.
Yeah, you're right. I posted this deck shortly after Fall of Ulduar had come out and the meta shifted quite rapidly since then. I had a lot of success with this, because the most popular archetypes at that time were Armor Warrior and different variations of Ramp Druid. Now, it's mostly just very fast decks like Aggro Paladin or Secret Hunter, so this one's not that good anymore.
I completely agree with you. Demon Hunter used to be interesting at first, but after a few expansions Blizzard clearly lost any idea what to do with the class. When Demon Hunter was first introduced it had 3 main archetypes: Tempo/Face (which turned out to be the most dominant deck during Ashes of Outland), Token and Big Demons. Scholomance Academy added Soul Shards into the mix, but overall managed to keep Demon Hunter's class identity untouched. Everything changed during Darkmoon Faire. While the majority of cards introduced with that expansion were meant for the Aggro and Token archetypes, there was one card, that became a main reason for the rise of DH's class identity crisis - Il'gynoth. I actually have no idea, who thought that a card with such an effect would fit Demon Hunter, but nevertheless, it became quite popular. During United in Stormwind Il'gynoth was such a powerful combo enabler, that it had to be massively nerfed. However, it seems that Blizzard actually liked Il'gynoth's design and therefore continued adding more and more weird combo cards for Demon Hunter. Now, DH is officially deprived of the class's initial identity and consists of weird combo archetypes, that almost never work. Good job Blizzard.
It's also interesting, that the botting seems to occur only on the American server. I don't know much about Asia, but thre are definitely very few bots on Europe. I don't want to sound racist or whatever, but maybe those bots are products of something like those Indian scam call centers? I can definitely imagine a bunch of people working together and sustaining thousands of bots just to make them level up and sell the accounts later on eBay.
Thanks for commenting, I'm glad that you like the deck!
As for Kryxis, he's not a core card by any means, I'd personally replace him with either a second copy of Weight of the World or Kayn Sunfury. The latter is a pretty forgotten card, but can really help against an opponent with lots of taunt minions in their deck.
So it's second time (out of two) there's a deck in twist far superior to the rest, maybe third month will be a charm.
It's nowhere near that, don't believe everything you've read. Obviously there are better and worse decks, as always, but there definitely isn't "a deck ... far superior to the rest"
I haven't got to legend yet, am currently somewhere in Platinum. I had no bonus stars, probably since I didn't play the previous Twist season at all. However, I have hardly seen that many Rogues. I mostly play against C'thun Druids and Warriors, idk why that is. I don't have too many old cards, but I managed to put together a decent Jade Druid with Yogg and Fandral (I used to play a very similar deck a long while ago, when the sets were in standard). Maybe the matchmaking system doesn't match me against that many Jade Rogues, because I beat them almost every time. If you want I can send you the decklist.
Yeah - I tried a Warrior deck out but it cant deal with the BS aggro or some of the other decks that are simply too powerful. The mode plays more like real hearthstone but in the end....wait for it...... you either draw what you need or you lose. Period. Yawn. LOL.
Well, back then draw mattered much more than it does now. Playing control decks in general meant not having a lot of good draw and people often played OG draw cards like Novice Engineer or Loot Hoarder. Now you can just casually draw with almost any archetype and endless value generation makes it almost impossible to run out of steam. If you don't like the slower playstyle of Mean Streets meta, that's your thing and I'm not going to try to prove anything to you. I personally simply find it much more fun than modern Hearthstone, where you can just casually kill your opponent on turn 3 with Mech Rogue or Paladin and it's not even considered to be an oddity anymore.
Obviously the cards Blizzard added with Caverns of Time are mostly waaay too powerful for the mode, but I doubt we'll see any nerfs as the mode changes in less than a month anyway.

I honestly don't get why people are so upset by bots. It's just a free win in most cases.

You do realise, it's how the card is supposed to work, right?

I'm using a slightly modified version of this deck. It works really well.

Can some mod please close this thread? It's just being "necromanced" and causing confusion.
