DoubleSummon posted a message on Zoo and Abusive Sergeant (OP... nerf?)Posted in: General DiscussionBlizzard wants aggro around that's why they didn't nerf all the aggro powerful tools.
I think aggro should exists so greedy control decks with 45 minute games don't become the dominant decks.

Paly_Noob posted a message on Will Overwatch go Free to Play?Posted in: Other GamesI bet less than 5% players actually spend a penny in HS - at least this is an extremely optimistic number for a game like this. IIRC the conversion rate is around 1% in League of Legends.
Anyways, OW is not total shit but the game is extremely repetitive and lacks any meaningful content, so I guess it will be f2p in 2 years from now or around that.
<< the game is extremely repetitive and lacks any meaningful content>>I'd say the same about D3, yet it's 4 years old and still not FTP (nor will it ever be). -

iandakar posted a message on C'thun, an interesting new player solutionPosted in: General DiscussionI've been listening to some players write or say their issues with C'thun decks. They are brainless, they are powerful, and everyone has it. Looking back, though, I realize that these aspects are less problems for the game and more solutions for the problems new players typically face.
Throughout hearthstone's lifespan, new players have always had one option to get started with the game: make a face deck. Face decks are easy to get to work, which is great since new players are..well.. new and inexperienced. They are also cheap as they typically compose of mostly commons and rares and, at best, are enhanced by one legendary that's not required.
So what happens when said new player wants to play other playstyles? You can't early on. It requires too many high cost cards and watered down versions just don't work. So they have to play aggro until their collection builds up or they at least get enough skill to make a less efficient deck work.
Or, nowadays, they can play C'thun. They get the big reqiured legendary and a few starting cards. A lot of the rest of the C'thun carsd are commons and rares. Twin Emperor is POWERFUL but not required to make the deck 'work'. Meanwhile arena will give just old gods cards, giving players who work in arena a better chance at buildin a c'thun deck.
He's easy to use because he's meant for new players. He's powerful because new players don't want 'a deck', they want a deck that actually scores wins. And C'thun ISN'T going to be a tier 1 deck in the end, though it may stay competitive. He's given to everyone so that new players can actually do something other than play face decks.
Within the next few weeks, we'll get more cards and deck builders will start chiming in with new decks. We'll move on from C'thun into other decks. But he'll still be viable for new players. Not as fast at growing as a face deck but it will work.
Thus why he is as he is and why the deck works the way it does. It's purposely done that way and a way to give new players more options to get into the game.
And it means less aggro in the meta from free accounts. Though from the complaints that doesn't seem to matter.

AsclepiusMD posted a message on Please, just concedePosted in: General DiscussionLOL! Funny how whining can throw people into fits of rage. Okay, I'll choose to learn (windowed mode, browse the web) that's good advise and I get it that I should be more patient.
But there are just times when people snap, true, I could've relaxed... true, I could've not let it get the best of me (but on the contrary it DID get the best of me). I appreciate the criticisms to "man up" and just accept the win.
Again, I'm happy for the win and I will apologize again if the whine annoys some. I'll become better at accepting a win even if it wastes 2 minutes of my time. But at the end of the day, I still have the right to express myself.

FoxBat posted a message on Casual Play: MMR and concedingPosted in: General DiscussionYou might concede just because you hate Mages, but others would start conceding because they know their zoo or miracle or whatever matchup is weak, they went second, or their opening hand was bad; there would be no consequences for it. Meanwhile people farming low MMR for gold would just wait another turn to do what they do. I don't see the change having a good outcome for most players.

albrot posted a message on Why is it that priest players always pull the cards they need for the moment?Posted in: PriestIt's because anybody who primarily plays a priest has sold their soul to the devil so that they may always have the perfect draws and so that their Thoughtsteal steals your best cards. If their Thoughtsteal doesn't steal your best cards, it's because they're not actually somebody who primarily plays a priest, they're just dabbling. Don't worry though, they'll sell their soul soon enough.
I've never queued against a priest and thought "This is going to be a fun an interesting game", at least not since Beta. It's just annoying playing against them, win or lose.

Make him a Druid card and his power level go up

What is your favourite / or the funnest Archetype of Priest to play?
Control, i love a good priest control, you beat all oponent cards before win, the most complet win.
What do you find the easiest to climb Ladder with, and what is your highest Rank with Priest?
Control. Games go long, but you have a hi %win. Sadly for me, i play most at work and drop a lot of games becouse of that. Hi rank 5, then past to aggro decks.
And lastly, what is your favourite Priest card?
Auchenai Soulpriest

There is plenty control deck in the meta, what you want to apoint with this?

Edwin VanCleef, no repleace for him. Its a wincon alone.

Its a strong card, but i only play it on cthul deck (druid), soo IDK if his power stand for a regular deck. On a cthul theme, u try 3 things, reach 10 crystal, reach 10 power (giving food to the ancient god) and control the board.
This card help to the 3 all, its a good card vs aggro (and help at removal/trades vs mid range). Yeah, some say that its easy pin off, but that take a 2-cost of a hero power, and not all have it, and u keep getting value on this, for the tempo.
If you used him on aggro pal... well, it will help you vs others aggro in form of removal, and can be usefull in mirrow, poping DS and then trade. But a cost 3 card on a aggro must be think carefull, at same cost u got the blood knight who can be game breaking.
Test it and think on other cards that can repleace it. Every time u draw it, analyse if he is better than the others option or worse and why, u whould get a hint on what the deck need that way.

No, i dont think that it will be f2p, ever. U can expect a 50% sale on some holiday, but thats all.

For a warrior, i think its not that bad, they have a lot of key card to auto hurt him, and gain some nice cthul buff at par with some armor or buff for the berserker. Maybe, someone can build a Patron/Cthul deck or something like that, Crazed Worshiper whould be an auto inclued, but for now... wait to the meta to settle?

I dont see the point on paying for something its suppose to be funy to do by yourself (and free). But if money isnt a issue for you and u want to learn to play better that badly, go for it. I spend my money on licor, ciggars and other expensive consumables and some friends say i'm crazy for that.
