Priest has alot of reactive cards though like shadow word:death and holy nova , so a card that gives you a random minion would probably be better than notice engineer in most cases right? Especially if you want to be aggressive.

posted a message on Is CW worth it?

CW is meant to be Anti-Meta, so it's not really a fun deck to use but it definitely is competitive. If you are going to spend 8-10k dust in making any deck, it better be a deck that you'll enjoy playing. I think that Patron is stronger anyways, but if you prefer showing off your legendaries then go for it.

posted a message on Poll: What is the most frustrating way to loose?

When your opponent has the ultimate curve and just lays it out, turn 1 webspinner, turn 2 mad scientist, turn 3 huffer, turn 4 shreddar, turn 5 loatheb, turn 6 highmane, etc. and you don't draw into your counters to those cards, not like you don't run them but just haven't drawn them. But that's typical hearthstone, it happened to me about a dozen times yesterday too.

posted a message on Whats wrong with HEARTHSTONE right now
    Quote from Hearthswag jump

OK let me get this straight.

    Paladin:                Secret BS cancer

                                    Aggro BS ebola

Hunter:                Crazy aggro BS spam hero power

Warrior:               Patron BS cancer T-virus frothing strain

Priest:                   BS dragon BS double cleric draw/steal BS BS BS BS

    Mage:                   Annoying freeze BS

                                    Unfair 5x fireball BS
    Warlock:              Handlock BS cheese

Druid:                    Mass beatdown OTK 26dmg BS

Shaman:              Desperate attempt at totem as last resort for class

Rogue:                  Powerful combos but no BS OTK or OP cards so hardly played

So barring 1-2 classes currently in HS everyone is b*tching about some other class being OP/unfair/BS. And the rest are b*tching about how bad their class is. I think it’s clear Hearthstone is pretty broken. If you want to play competitively you pretty much copy a cancer net deck and off you go. The trouble with this I think is obvious.

What’s the solution? Hur-dur… it’s a freaking DIGITAL CARD GAME. Nerf stuff. Good grief, Magic: The gathering has been around for decades and they’re an actual physical card game. They can’t nerf – so when they make a mistake, and they do, they ban a card from play. It’s not ideal, and people get upset, but that’s what has to be done. Blizz has the opportunity to fix the broken things, why is this not happening?

Do I have to spell it out:

    Frothing atk pwr cap

    Patron spawn cap

    Challenger secret cap

Perhaps even a player damage turn cap? Maybe not. But some edits will require a bit more thought.

The goal here is to get every card playable to some degree in some area of the game in a certain kind of deck. I build my own unique decks (hobos, jeeves etc) with abilities that inspire and excite me. These decks don’t do too badly but they are always 1 step behind the top tier decks because we never see nerfs. Blizz have you ever played an actual game in which an opponent dropped Dr. Boom? Sylvannas? Doesn’t something click that maybe these cards are just a little broken? That kids shouldn’t be adding cards just because they’re so damn good.

    Thoughts?

This game is meant to be casual and easy to play, but I can see kind of what you mean, here's my elaboration:

Paladin:  Secrets have always been annoying to play around because we have to think alot about what to play around, and mysterious challenger really adds more annoyance onto that. However, Paladin secrets are generally weak.

Hunter:  Not so fun to play against ever, it's either they have it or they don't.

Warrior:  Patron warriors can unleash crazy combos with the right set up but control warriors are more annoying.  +Residentsleeper

Priest:  I personally like playing priest, can't seem to hate them, they're good against some decks and bad against others, it all comes down to Tempo since hearthstone is a tempo game afterall.

    Mage:  Annoying freez, YES

Warlock:  Meta, so of course they're good.

Druid:  Seen druid decks struggle alot, nothing BS about force + savage combo.

Shaman:  ALL rng but hey, that's hearthstone/esports.

Rogue:   I like rogue too but yeah, they're hardly played.

posted a message on [TGT] Control Warrior

Playing Varian would mean you shouldn't run too many battlecry minions but rather more sticky minions like ones with Taunt/Deathrattle so you can try to control the state of the board early on and hope your opponent uses up all of his removal before you bring him out. Because of his additional effect of bringing minions out to the board automatically, it's like a hybrid of Ancient of Lore and Dr.Boom. With that being said, if you don't have a Varian, try playing the usual greedy cards like Ysera, Sneed's Old Shreddar, or some sort of battlecry card like Shield Maiden, Harrison Jones or even a second BGH.

I'm automatically going to make a pair of these for my priest, the high health and the ability makes it super good against aggro. I can see a turn 4 maiden and a turn 5 auchenai + hero power. OP

posted a message on Why people are wrong about Varian Wrynn

Aside from Brawl, MC Tech and other full-board wipes, this card ultimately sets up for lethal the next turn pretty much.

You play Varian when you think your opponent has used up a few to most of their removals, never expect the worse case scenario because if you are always on the defense, you will never really win the game unless it's taken to fatigue.

I think trump made a comparison with Varian to Ancient of Lore. They do about the same thing which is draw you cards, the ability of automatically playing minions you get off this guy's effect can be EITHER good or bad depending on the situation (needless to say RNG) but nonetheless you look at Varian as mainly a draw mechanic not really a board developing card. Let's face it, control warrior decks would normally play like what, 15-16 minions 10-11 spells and 4 weapons? The chance of you drawing into a minion is about 50-50, so alot of times you only summon 1-2 minions with Varian and then you also get the extra 1-2 card(s) added to your hand.

So a possible scenario playing this might look like:

Turn 10, Varian. Draw 1) Sledge Belcher 2) Shield Slam 3) execute / another minion. If that were to happen, is that bad? I mean you get a free belcher out, potentially another minion (nopefully not a dud) and you get a free spell or weapon.

posted a message on How Blizzard Should Get Rid of Aggro Decks

Getting "rid" of aggro is almost like getting rid of a small population of hearthstone. I think the type of people that play aggro decks are the type of people that are in a rush to finish their quest or just climbing to legend. As a hearthstone player, I must say I've had one of those days where I just can't win a game rather a losing streak and then rage quitting afterwards. If i were to play a slow grinding deck then imagine every game taking about 15 minutes and then losing 4 straight in a row. That's an hour of my life gone right there. Honestly, I think aggro decks are annoying but they're the meta and people are constantly trying to make decks to play around the meta which makes their other match-ups slightly weaker. In the end, this brings variety to the game.

posted a message on New Hunter Card - Brave Archer

Can you imagine this card and garrison commander? xD

That's like Inpsire -> 4dmg (twice) for 8 damage if it actually works, but it might be too ideal of a situation to have both garrison and the archer out with nothing in hand.
