go play MtG then
where you collect cards and not hearthstone where you craft cards on an account that you don't own
140 euro for 1 deck will never be cheap, especially when the games progressively pushes out new cards designed to replace the old ones every year in order for you to buy cards for a new deckGatekeeping: always a trashy look.
I can’t afford MtG anymore. I’m not a whale, just a slightly overweight porpoise. :)
If set rotation bothers you, just play Wild. It’s a fun format, and much cheaper than Standard. Even after a 3 year break, I was able to pick up a couple of my Wild decks and compete with just a few card slots tweaked.

Decided to try for legend yesterday from Diamond 5 and fought my way through a sea of Demon Hunters tonight for the final boss fight at 11:55. My heart has never beat so fast playing a game before. lol

Fyrfytr998 posted a message on DH must be nerfedPosted in: General DiscussionSo are you a control player mad that you die before your boring deck takes over, or a meme player who's mad you can't get your combo off?
Those are usually the main reasons someone QQ's over aggro.

C_A_W posted a message on Zeddy Hearthstone Needs a Slight Reality CheckPosted in: General DiscussionAt the risk of showing my own ignorance, are there any popular black/African American Hearthstone streamers? I watch Daily Hearthstone Moments routinely and can't think of a single familiar face who'd fit that description.
Of the female streamers I know who play/played HS, Hafu's super busy with other stuff right now (Among Us etc) and Glitter just lost her mom, plus there's also the possibility of people not being able to travel to the US because the US is currently not allowing a bunch of countries entry right now from the pandemic. There may be reasons that haven't been made public why some faces aren't there.

In fairness, there's an insurance element to it. Dusting a regular legendary gives 25% of investment back (400). Dusting a golden gives 50% (1600).
That and I like my shinies.
Shiny shiny shiny. :D

100% going to be complaints about how the new Core Set sticks the finger up at anyone who collected the full classic set and crafted golden versions of legendaries. Which includes me, but I still get to play them in Wild so idgaf.

Twitter thread: Classic mode is coming!
Me: Force of Nature/Savage Roar isn't great for the game, hate to see it return.
Randos: lol it's a 14 damage combo that can be stopped by taunt, git gud
Good luck finding out you need to play around it as soon as they have 7 mana and your taunt selection is mediocre unless you're ALSO playing Druid.

Of course, you wouldn't mind sharing a link to the article that makes these claims?

Getting really fed up with my first attempted game of the day getting stuck in the loading screen, effectively meaning I've lost the first game as I wait for the game to load, while my opponent goldfishes to a free win.

Stealth Rogue's been kicking my butt lately. You don't necessarily need Edwin (since he got nerfed), though Jandice is a reasonable craft.

There are various reasons why control, as an archetype, isn't well-represented in Hearthstone: the game's way of keeping each player's turn fully isolated, the ability to Discover cards that no sane person would ever put in their starting 30, most of the healing/lifegain is mediocre and can't beat decks that deal more than 30 damage at once, and the resource system ensuring that both aggro and control decks have the freedom to cast whatever expensive stuff they want, given enough time. Proactive strategies are simply just better in Hearthstone than reactive ones.
Tickatus is not one of those reasons. It's a class card that sees play in a handful of decks. If you're losing to it then it sucks to be you, but every time you queue up and your opponent isn't a Warlock, then Tickatus isn't a thing you have to worry about.
Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail.

I did think about that, but figured it might take away from the tone of the post. :)
I also did some more thinking. You could nerf Tiller, but it also leads to a design space crunch of "we can never make another powerful 'when this attacks' minion because of Deathspeaker + Hysteria".
So my thinking is change Deathspeaker to "Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion. It gets Immune this turn, until after it attacks." This way Deathspeaker still keeps things alive through Defiles etc, but disables this combo.

Now now children. Calm down or we take the ball away. Let's all get along, we're just here to play a card game.

Arena doesn't get played much because it costs resources (gold) to play.
But if you make it free, even without rewards, then the people who enjoy Limited formats will ONLY play Arena and not invest money into the game.
The solution is to improve rewards. Make it 5 or more wins to break even on investment instead of 7, for example.
