TheRealMalfurion posted a message on Druid is virtually unbeatable and this needs to be changed fastPosted in: General DiscussionTier S:
Jade Druid, Ramp Druid, Aggro Druid, Token Druid, Malygos Druid
Nuff said. Nerf it to the ground.
I am sure you are talking about TempoStorm. Those are arbitrary ratings made by Hearthstone pro players affiliated with TempoStorm, whose owner, Reynad, has been very negative on Druid of late, surely you can see that these ratings are very biased. In fact, the only very good decks in that list are Jade Druid and Aggro Druid. A more realistic resource to use for that is Vicious Syndicate's Data Reaper Live feature and eventually the Report when it comes out, where you can clearly see that Murloc Paladin and Pirate Warrior have higher winrates than any Druid deck (with Ramp and Malygos Druid not even considered to be top archetypes). This site also happens to track games to provide its statistics and not the opinions of pro players (I hope you can agree that facts are a more realistic measure).Source: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/data-reaper-live-beta/?utm_source=main-nav&utm_medium=link, go under "Top Archetype Matchups" for the winrates.Jade Druid and Aggro Druid are definitely Tier 1, but talks of Tier S are just Reynad pushing his salty narrative on all of us and trying to enforce that Druid needs to be nerfed to the ground even though its not overperforming. It is true though that if Jade Druid keeps performing very well they may nerf it to the ground for the same reasons they did Quest Rogue (basically building the meta around itself), but we first need to see if this situation will last for long in the first place, its only been a week into a new expansion, which pushed a lot of Control decks and experimentation with unrefined Control decks that can be reliably punished by Jade Druid. In the end this attitude displayed by the community isn't positive at all. The more people and sites like TempoStorm push that Druid is broken the more likely it is that more people will play it (even though actual statistics from sites that track games don't support this), to exploit its strength, which will in turn lead to the people complaining about it to feel even worse about facing so many of them. In fact, if this continues Druid will definitely be nerfed, but you will get about 1 month of Druidstone first, for Blizzard to treat this case just like they did with Quest Rogue (i.e. strong deck that doesn't overperform, but because its being run by a lot of people and causing frustration to a lot of people is eventually nerfed).Edit: Here is also an early view of the report on the top 5 archetypes of KFT: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/early-frontrunners-knights-frozen-throne/, but remember to also use the link I provided above for a more complete picture. -

user-100126592 posted a message on The Pepper Thread - Share your good vibes!Posted in: General DiscussionThis just happened to me. Anduin from Hallucination, 3 Valeeras from Thistle Tea. I honestly love playing my rogue deck even if I lose just because shit like this can happen.
I won thanks to staying in stealth for three turns and gathering armor while my opponent buffed their minions. Then I played Anduin.

iandakar posted a message on Crafting strategyPosted in: Card DiscussionAs far as normal legendaries, you generally want to follow the same gameplan as before:
1. Open all of your packs BEFORE you craft anything. This isn't so much of an issue now, but there is ONE little detail that helps me suggest this:
Let's say there's 20 legendaries in a set, and of them there's 5 that you REALLLLLY want.
When you're pegged to ge ta legendary, the first one will have a 5/20 or a 25% chance of giving you the legendary you want.
Now if you have 1600 dust to craft a legendary, if you craft one you want early, then open a pack with a legendary, you now have a 4/19 or a 21% chance of getting the legendary you want. Thus you're more likely to get 1 legendary you like and 1 you don't.
If you wait, you get that original 25% chance. If you don't get a legendary you want you can just craft one anyway. But you have a hgher chance of ending up with 2 legendaries you want (one crafted, one not).
Thus you are best off opening all of your packs, THEN crafting cards you need.
Now for golden legendaries, I'd probably go with your plan: craft the golden since chances are you are more likely to get the normal one rather than the golden one and you'll have a slightly better chance of getting the normal legendary you want if hte golden version is out of the running. That's IF you consider the normal version a dust card.
SO SUMMARY
1. For normal legendaries: Open your packs, then craft what you don't have.
2. For golden Legendaries: craft first, then open IF you wont' be happy to get the regular version. If you are ok getting the regular version, do #1.
In other news, focus your dust on legendaries and epics, Packs are more for getting commons/rares than legendaries/epics, even with the new system.

They shouldn't Keyword it because people will inevitably forget that you can still Fire Elemental things or whatnot, then lose.
You also don't need to keyword "at the end of your turn" because it's just easier to use English.
Edit: They *definitely* shouldn't use "Elusive" because in the WoW TCG, that meant "couldn't be attacked".

What's the plan against people who flag others maliciously?

I already commented but I forgot a very special game moment.
I'm playing Midrange Hunter vs Secret Paladin, right after TGT came out and everyone was aghast at how ridiculous Secret Pally was. My opponent had a turn-1 Secretkeeper that had survived the long game and, thanks to a Blessing of Kings, was now a 7/8. That's okay though, because I'm about to fetch one of the two Freezing Traps out of my deck with Mad Scientist.
Mad Scientist pulls the only other secret in my deck, which was Explosive Trap. Uh-oh.
I realise the only hope I have is bluffing, so I trade into his board and pass the turn. He drops a Shredder, makes a guy.... Don't attack, don't attack.... He passes the turn. Huge success.
So, for 3 turns I just trade for everything he puts out, until a turn when there's no way I can do that and still win the game. He has Secretkeeper, an Aldor Peacekeeper and the soldiers from Muster for Battle. So instead I drop a Sludge Belcher and something else, go face and wait for the fireworks.
His Peacekeeper charges in as soon as the turn starts (OMG free Peacekeeper rebuy, such value!), only to smash into the Sludge Belcher and die horribly.
10 seconds pass.
"Well Played" he says.
"Thanks", I says.
(I still lost.)

Depends on your playstyle and what deck you're running. Thalnos replaces itself, Zealot has the Divine Shield utility.

The new expansion has PvP?

If Pathmaker Hamm kills himself with a Mad Bomber or Mad Bomber, you get an anguished "Not like thiiiiiiiiissssssss!".

I want the Hunter one so I don't have to open it in a pack.
