Y I reached legend with it (using only this deck from rank 5 to legend). It's not a brainless deck to pilot, but if you manage to play it well, (in a situation of normal rng...negative/very bad rng streaks could always happen with any deck) it has most favorable and even matchups in the actual wild high ladder, as I explained in this guide.

Sirmikon posted a message on Big Wild [First Time Legend]Posted in: Big Wild [First Time Legend]It's not all about luck. But, there is more luck in this deck than in tier 1 decks. All the scenarios you described have happened to me too (only big minions in hand, shadow essence barnes, resurrect barnes, bad shadow visions, can't find cards when you need them, bad lich king cards, bad Ysera cards). But, the thing about luck is that it goes both ways! I can confidently say that the probability of high roll is definitely greater than the chance of low-roll. Play more games and your luck will even out, I can guarantee that.
Probability of drawing Shadow Essence by turn 7 with coin is 72% if you're hard mulliganing for it. Probability of drawing barnes by turn 4 is 40% with coin (hard mulligan). You have 7 minions in deck. Chance of shadow essence Barnes (1/7 = 14%). Chances of getting removal you need in mulligan is extremely high. You can deal with just about anything for 6-8 turns waiting to drop your bombs. The way this deck usually wins is by answering threats, not by initiating them, and this deck has tons of answers.
I made legend exclusively with this deck and it has some very good matchups, in spite of the variance of draws. My final winrate with this deck was probably close to 55% so nothing amazing. In particular it has a very favorable matchup vs. Reno Priest and Aggro Druid and Recruits Paladin. Against any slower deck, the draw isn't as important if you can survive until turn 8 - you're basically just accumulating rez effects until you can drop a minion on board. In very unfavorable matchups, I change my strategy and literally go all in for the high roll.
I will admit that this deck's legend viability is meta-dependent. I was probably able to make the climb because of the matchups I was seeing. If you're seeing lots of rogues and mages it probably won't go so well (i went on a few 5+ game lose streaks at around rank 4/5). But, if you're facing a ton of Reno Priest and Aggro Druid, then you can pwn your way to earning that golden hexagon.

Brunown posted a message on Big Wild [First Time Legend]Posted in: Big Wild [First Time Legend]Sorry but this deck is just all about luck.
It's really rare when I got Branes.
Shadow essence give me Barnes 5/5 most of the time.
Shadow visions does most of the time never give me Eternel Servitude or Ressurect or Shadow Essence.
I often have big minion in starting hand...
I'm glad if players are lucky enough at this game to play Big Priest and as this deck is just about this they win... but I need to play the few of real decks lefts without too pmuch random in it to win games...

I play on EU and am strugglling to get legend for the first time. I was playing evolve shaman and some jade versions in standard and couldn't get past rank 4. (of course i might suck as a player ;-) ). Then I tried that deck of yours in wild and it works great. It seems most of the time you pull or have a card in your hand you can play each turn. And the minds of those guys seeing you starting with living roods and the playing jades...or a minnions+swipe+feral rage+hero power finisher. Thx for sharing the list.

ColouRz123 posted a message on [Barnes] NoYogg, or the new Tempo MagePosted in: [Barnes] NoYogg, or the new Tempo MageVery good deck, climbed from rank 15 to 9 in a few hours today with a winstreak peak of 10. Although I changed the babbling book for a polymorph, which I've find very good use of. It was quite difficult to tech that in since there are barely any bad cards here but I thought that the babbling book might have been the weakest link.
What about teching in arcane giants? I can not find an immediate easy change but if someone else tried it I'm eager to hear the results.
If someone has a difficult time winning with this deck I can explain how I won with it.
It's all about knowing your win condition. This deck is very flexible so the first strategy which is best against other board control dependant, early game, fast decks that does not have heal is to pull out mana wyrn, 2 drops and flamewakers pretty much on curve, with a little spell comboing still. To get the board control and then just finish it off rather quickly with burn and repetitive face damage.
Against controlly decks especially paladin who has lots and lots of heal, antonidas is the most important card. Try to play value in the early game and don't overextend on the board like you would do against aggro/midrange decks. Then you want to setup a combo, save up some 1 mana spells, emperor them if you have emperor, then create a lot of fireballs with emperor to be able to deal a very high amount of damage in a few rounds. Ragnaros is very useful as a kinda board comeback card, opponent removal waster whilst it's already done 8 dmg.
This is just my thoughts, would like to hear others' thoughts as well. I'm obviously not a pro player sooooo perhaps this is all nonsense kek.

Really love your deck! Also the surprise when Hadronox is on the board and they cannot remove it !
Went from rank 18 to 9 and still going up!
