Powerfull to Broken when combined with this card:
2/6 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 5/5 = 17/21 stats!
Also if those are not removed, it may win the game right away (1x Mind Blast alone could deal 25 dmg)

Wingdude22 posted a message on New Paladin Card: Duel!Posted in: NewsDon’t know why you get downvoted, but I also cannot see a realistic use of this card.
As pure anti combo card it’s way to unreliable and expensive ( At four mana as Rino posted it for costumehearthstone it would be more realistic) .
As gameswingy " Gnomferatu+recruit " , you are forced to build your deck so awkwardly, that you almost have no earlygame. I guess Warrior is better suited for this archetype, since they have cheap removal and heal. And if you lose your duel, you basically thin the opponents deck and give him a minion with charge.

ForteGX posted a message on New Mage Card - Mana CyclonePosted in: NewsThis might see some experimentation, but I doubt it will see too much play unless there is some really good synergy added. It would have been interesting to see this card at the same time with leyline manipulator. Compare this card to Ruby Spellstone. I would say playing 3 spells before this card is not unreasonable, and then this card turns into a full Spellstone with a 2/2 body, which is good. But playing 3 spells in one turn is not likely to happen. I remember back in the Flamewaker days sometimes you get 3 spells in a turn, but more often than not it is two spells max and then more the following turn, but this card has to do it all in one turn. That is the problem. the 2/2 body doesn't really make much of a difference late game, and it doesn't generate anymore afterwards, so your opponent doesn't have to respect it. Random spells are also worth less than discovered spells. It kind of reminds me of a babbling book that you can't play in the early game, which makes me hesitant to craft this epic.

Let's do the Time Warp again!
It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Time Warp again

Recruit a minion for both players and have them fight? Hmm.
- It disrupts combo decks; and with a turn 4 Truesilver Champion you can probably remove most minions too.
- Maybe can be used as a Mechano-Egg eggtivator? It's heavily reliant on RNG from both players though.
- Cheat out large stuff against aggro?
Maybe Paladin can get away with running just big / deathrattle / divine shield minions to consistently get value out of this.
Big Priest, Big Warrior and Hunter all ended up seeing play because they could cheat out minions consistently (at varying degrees of success) ...
Duel will certainly end up in highlight videos on Trolden^^

Another Undertaker OTK would be for Paladin:
Leper Gnome or Goblin Bomb + Immortal Prelate + Silver Vanguard with Spiritsinger Umbra on board.
Important to note is that you can't play Silver Vanguard before you draw Da Undatakah, and that you you have to play Da Undatakah once before doing your Umbra turn.

In a way, Mana Cyclone is pretty similar to Arcane Artificer in how it is played.
It's not meant to contend for the board early game, it's cheap so you can combo it with spells easily.
Maybe you can make it work with Banana Buffoon? Kibler has been running a "Minion Mage" kind of deck. You could use them to give the deck spells, since you could ideally cast 4 Bananas and 2 Mana Cyclone to get 8 random spells in 1 turn - it will probably get you 2 spells on average though.
A 2 Mana 2/2 that has a conditional value generation seems pretty strong. We just need to find a deck where this fits into.

There it is, the promised Dirty Rat V 2.0

Giving a minion lifesteal for 2 mana?
Seems very situational, but we get an extra copy of it so it can be used less sparingly.
But Rogue's Leeching Poison also seemed like a difficult to use card, and it became a corepiece of King's Bane before the nerf.
Maybe Paladin will get see a similar deck with Immortal Prelate?
Paladin already has a fair amount of healing between Flash of Light, Crystalsmith Kangor though, and Zilliax always got your back.
This one has interesting implications with cards like Wild Pyromancer though. Maybe this is what Zandalari Templar needed?

Rafaam's
ClownfiestaScheme seems underwhelming, like another Hir'eek, the Bat;but potentially being a 3-cost version of it.
You could keep it early and combo it with Demonbolt and Grim Rally turn 7; maybe that is enough?
Maybe Team 5 knows something we don't.
Maybe Fiendish Circle sees play, either along with Rafaam's Scheme or instead of it because it's more reliable.
1/1s are not that hard to deal with since we got Dragonmaw Scorcher though.
(Edit: Yes, you can Handbuff Hir'eek. Maybe Blizzard wants us to sacrifice a bunch of Imps with spirit of the Bat and drop 10/10 Hi'reeks? Freeze Shaman 2.0)

Thematically, it's very fitting.
Madame Lazul is supposed to be some sort of fortune teller, e.g. take a look at her pseudo tarot cards.
And getting to see your opponent's hand in a card-game is sorta like seeing the future.

Combos with Consecration and Wild Pyromancer are much much slower now,
might be better to run Shrink Ray instead.
If anything, this is a huge nerf to any slower Paladin and a buff to Aggro decks.
