I don't really have any "big" personal regrets. I used to help organise a regular FSG in Toronto, and I got to meet lots of people over the years. My biggest regrets are honestly the folks I met who dusted their way out of the game. We had a FSG during the Un'Goro launch, and one fellow decided to dust all his Legendaries that rotated that day - sixteen of them. The "return on investment" is so poor that the fellow could only craft four Legendaries from the new set. He chose the Hunter and Warlock Quests and the Warlock Legendary (and something else I can't remember.) Since the Quests didn't exactly perform as was commonly expected, he basically threw away a year of grinding and all the Legendaries he had earned, with nothing to show for it. We warned him against dusting all his cards (we always do, during rotation.) Over the next few months, he played the game less and less, and finally stopped altogether - he blamed Blizzard the whole time.

It's a sad story, but this type of thinking puts people in ruin in much more crucial situations. Investing in stocks or cryptocurrency when you cannot afford to lose that money, gambling or even getting big debts on your credit cards that you cannot afford, then blaming the system.

Ysera is better now, probably viable in control and in dragon synergy decks. There's nothing to pay respects to.

*Sigh* OLD Ysera has been not only rotated to Wild, but her effect has been nerfed, because she produces the new, nerfed dream cards.

Let's not pretend the old Ysera was playable in any deck anymore.

I'm fine with a buff after rotation, because Pirate warrior is nowhere near its old power level in wild.

Same, Zeph, unless in very obvious situations, won't be accurate. I was playing against a libram paladin and desperately needed a mass dispell to basically autowin the game. However, despite narrowing my mana down to 4, I was not offered that card, and lost the game eventually, to my emoting opponent's delight. I don't know if he knew he dodged the bullet on Zeph or was completely clueless how he could be left without librams for the rest of the game, but it was really frustrating for me nonetheless.

Whoever worked on these adventures should be fired. They are backwards completely from when we got cool stuff, like BlackRock mountain.

It's piss poor. Really boring, uninteresting, and in order to make them difficult, they give you decks that require multiple resets to highroll and win. For example, valeera's second mission is against an aoe control warrior, and you are given a lot of 1 health minions which just die to the plethora of aoe effects. Is this supposed to make it "challenging"? Miss me with that shit, if i wanted to play aggro rogue vs control warrior, I'd be laddering.

oh boy cant wait for all the trash decks to bounce this back to their hand 10 times till my hand is gone.

If you don't kill them while they idle 7-8 mana every turn, it's all on you.

This will be fun having 2-3 of these played against me in one turn with Felosophy and any mana cheating card... 😩

I'd be delighted if my opponent spent his entire turn doing nothing.

Change is not necessarily bad. I can finally recommend this to  my friends for the simple fact that they give everyone a chance to have a competitive deck from day one. Also, fixing old, unplayable cards, shifting the meta more than usual at rotation, and reworking shaman to be less rng reliant is also good. I'd argue this has been the best time to play HS ever.

I can see this being problematic for the hearthpwn community, judging by the tier 4 tickatus precedent.

Problem with warlock is the whole corrupt package. Truth is warlock's class corrupt cards are by a THOUSAND MILES better than the other classes'. Unlike other classes, there's usually no possible recover from a Y'Shaarj warlock turn: another 5 cards burnt, board wiped, a 10/10, an 8/8 and possibly two more taunt 6/6.

Tickatus is badly designed on its own but it's the entire warlock's corrupt package that needs some rethinking IMO. People often seem to forget the 4-mana-destroy-3 little detail...

Hm, there might be a way to avoid them playing Y'Shaarj... I can't seem to remember it. Is it, hmm, maybe kill them before they reach 10 mana?

HS is such an RNG game, there's only a few parts you have significant control over. The 2 big things that will affect your winrate are: Mulligan, and meta knowledge (which go hand in hand).

You're going to be slightly unfavored against greedier warlock decks, but this version is much better against aggro, if you're losing to aggro that often I'm inclined to ask, how often do you mulligan away the quest? How often are you tapping? Against aggro quest doesn't matter and you want to tap as little as possible, so keeping quest means you're starting with one less card and it's hurting your deck consistency. Tickatus and Envoy also don't matter against aggro, so what are you copying with Felosophy? Generally you should be copying either the 1/5 taunt or the lifesteal demon, Fire Breather can also be good against rogue but only if they have a slow start, otherwise you're better off going for the lifesteal.

EDIT: I will say that I did cut 1 Fire Breather for another Cascading Disaster, since I'm seeing way more greedy decks than aggro, personally.

Knowing what you're opponent is playing will not only tell you what to mulligan, but also what resources you need to save for later. This deck is INCREDIBLY lean on removal, it's got exactly enough for MOST decks. Druids and ramp paladins have more than you can handle, for example, so you're plan is to draw as fast as possible, get that quest done and go for either a C'thun win or tickatus their value away so you can deal with the rest.

That said this version of the deck is a bit worse against greedier decks, but you should be faring better against aggro, so I'd hazard to say you're mulligans are what's costing you those games more often than not.

So you're saying you will beat a top 50 player 50% of the time?
