The deck is medium, the creator probably lied as is the case with a ton of people posting horrible decks on here. Far from the worst, but still. Loads of people lie on the internet, try not to be sucker.
This game is 7 years old, what the hell are you talking about? I don't play much standard, probably still won't, but this is only a positive thing. Standard has been boring power creep for it's entire existence, they've only very recently been trying to mix it up with their design.
I agree on the board wipe part, maybe a flakmage nerf. Though generally I'm against them balancing wild, since it's largely pointless. You'll just go on to complain about the next "braindead" top tier deck that does ridiculous things. Only with uniquely broken decks is it worth nerfing in the format. Good stuff aggro/midrange is hardly worth bothering with.
"Run out of steam." Uh no, the deck is about the same in that regard. Sayge just replaces Aluneth as a value bomb. It's better mostly because the game will usually "end" (literally or figuratively) before Aluneth is relevant after passing your turn to play it, so losing the tempo short term these days is not worth it anymore. The only other value gain is faire games, which is only optimal as a one of because of how hit or miss it is.
They should have rotated the classic set from the start. Instead they picked away at the classic set over time, removing most of the worthwhile cards via nerfs/HoF. That is worse for new players, as they are encouraged to get bad cards.
I think DH was unnecessary and the prior reward system they had was optimal and shouldn't have changed.
However, complaining about actually balancing the game and the ranked system is retarded. I still remember the pirate warrior/aggro shaman meta of Gadgetzan that went on for months. People before my time surely remember undertaker. Actively trying to balance the game is far better, even if they aren't always hitting the mark. And the original ranked system pre rank floors was horrendous. The new system is perfectly fine. I don't understand the allure to running on the hamster wheel of ranking every month.
For as bad as Team 5 is at balance, I think the average player is far worse. I’d rather them do nothing than listen to some idiot who has terrible ideas for the format.
Ultimately I think un-nerfing some rotating cards, as they suggested they might do, would be the best thing to strive for over nerfs anyway. Hopefully they still intend to do that, and all of this was only in reference to nerfs.
Naturalize used to be considered a trash card, which made it indicative of Druids bad removal ability. However, the games power level has shot up over time. Naturalize was actually seeing standard play prior to it’s rotation, because Druid was given such ridiculously powerful draw and defensive capabilities that he could care less if you draw 2 cards. This continues to be the case in wild.
Draw is not a weakness of Paladin, they printed a 1 mana draw 2 into the class. DF was rotated simply to allow other good draw to be printed. They have been chipping away at the basic/classic sets like this for some time to create new design space when it’s convenient for them. Team 5 is too lazy to just rotate the entire classic set and actually become competent game designers.
Raiding Party would be the best unnerf of the handful of rotating nerfed cards. Kingsbane pirate was not the best deck, yet it got a double nerf due to standard.
Possibility they finally rotate the classic set, or maybe they just hof some of the nerfed classic cards that are effectively banned out of the game. It is a joke to consider mana wyrm or cold blood playable given the high power level of standard sets anymore.
High rankings are more about time commitment than skill. Even ignoring that, wild legend has far fewer people than standard. I managed to be legend 20 something in wild the instant I got in once.
This is probably more of a standard archetype. There is no early game you can run with this to pressure, which is necessary in wild these days. Even the dragon deck I tried which runs actual early drops doesn't do enough early on to be viable.

Does not count itself, should specify other cards. Given the cost, it really should count itself.
