I'll be streaming for the next hour or so. Starting at rank 17, since the ranks were reset today. Feel free to come watch some brutal tempo rogue! If I see any viewers I'll start speaking and interacting and whatnot haha.
Oh yeah, that is true. But, you also don't want to have your deck completely revolve around Redemption. I donno, might be worth trying out at least. But yeah, I understand your reasoning.
I personally don't really like Cult Masters in constructed. I prefer Hammer of Wrath, because it does enough damage to kill lots of enemies, and the card draw is great too. Also, I'd drop one or both of the Scarlet Crusaders for one or two Acolytes of Pain, and maybe one other thing though. If you're worried about card draw, I suppose you could keep the Cult Masters, but I still recommend trading the Scarlet Crusaders for Acolytes of Pain. Acolytes of Pain also work as great buff targets because of their ability. If the buffed Acolyte of Pain gets silenced, big deal, that means they have one less silence for your beautiful Tirion Fordring haha.
He doesn't even need circle of healing. Worst case scenario, play him turn 3. Enemy needs to either remove him then, or he becomes healed the next turn (probably). I think Wild Pyromancer is easily better on a priest than those other two, mainly because the pyromancer kind of renders their hero powers less useful. The priest hero power is awesome when combo'd with it.
I think Loatheb increases your own tempo by a ton. Even if you have to trade with their big minion, there are several other situations where he'll definitely win you the game (or at least, delay the game a little longer and give you the chance to win). I love Loatheb. Obviously, the one thing that sucks is you don't know exactly how much he helps you haha.
They've got low cost control, they get the best possible value out of some neutral cards (namely Injured Blademaster, and arguably Wild Pyromancer -> Wild Pyromancer + Power Word Shield + any spells afterwards completely, and I mean COMPLETELY shut down tempo rogue, which is gonna be played more often now). Prophet Velen is an underrated legendary. They have some of the best card draw. Also, I'm not sure how often you'll be able to break out this combo, but turn 10 Baron Rivendare + Auchenai Soulpriest + 2x Zombie Chow + Circle of Healing is a pretty gross combo that automatically swings tempo very far in your favor. I know it's an end-game combo, but still. It's unreal.
I think control/tempo priest used to be on the edge of being competitive. Once the priest card comes out, a control/tempo priest will be unreal I think. I'll be trying it out for sure.
I know I'm not them haha, but I hear Arcane Golem is a decent substitute. Arcane Golem is more of a pure finisher, because giving the enemy a crystal can really hurt.
I suppose that's fair. I've started using the Worgen Infiltrator. I kinda like him, because he's quite good early on. Kills Flame Imp easily (so you don't need to waste Backstab), kills most other brutal minions easily. Sometimes I slap Cold Blood on him for a good face punch of 6 damage (obviously not against mages). Leper Gnomes aren't even terrible, since they add a little bit of extra damage, and we all know that Tempo rogues don't need that much damage in order to have lethal. Leper gets you closer to that.
Isn't it bad to not have a single 1 mana creature? Doesn't that kind of leave you behind in tempo right from the start? It's tolerable vs other control decks, but against aggro, it just doesn't seem ideal, especially if you don't have the coin (for a turn 2 coin + SI:7)
I think that the 2 Sludge Belchers is enough. After that, in my opinion, you should get rid of the Yetis and maybe even the Defenders of Argus. If you just put in Sen'jin Shieldmastas, you should be able to put in a few more lower cost cards. I would throw in a cold blood or two, and a Loot hoarder or two, just to help with additional card draw.

Unfortunately, Prophet Velen only doubles the power of spells and your hero power. That would be ridiculous though haha.
Edit: Baron Rivendare is the perfect substitute in the combo. Oh jeez that's ridiculous.

Good read. I love reading threads about people winning lots with zoo.
