posted a message on What Decks Can Win Diamond Level

I think rogue has taken a bit of a hit with the Secret Passage nerf, but I think it can still thrive.

The newer Soul Demon Hunter without Magtheridon is a solid deck, and it doesn't actually feel dirty considering most people hate DH haha.  Play with some Consume Magic and try to save Blade Dance for a big clear.  Not a favored matchup for the DH, but winnable with some luck.

Small Spell mage with Devolving Missiles kind of feasts on libram paladin.  Freeze their board and keep generating value for yourself.

it's as if someone cant read the fine print under the card nerfs

Secret Passage, Cabal Acolyte, and Darkglare will be eligible for a full dust refund for 2 weeks after the 18.2 patch goes live.

Ummmm I think that's exactly what OP is trying to address lol.

Honestly though, Warlock just needs another Voidlord level card for this to be good.  I'm sure they will get some big scary demons to build around with this card over the next year and a half.

I agree that Ace Hunter Kreen could move to Tier 2 at least.  Solid card that can be thrown into any DH deck, but not quite a staple.  Same with Metamorphosis, I haven't seen that card played in a while.  Maybe it's been used once against me since it's been nerfed.

posted a message on Where are u now glide guys

It's such a situational card, and that's why it is nowhere near as good as some people might have you believe.  Yes, it is a good tech card against some combo/control decks, but even then it has niche uses.

The problem with it is, if it does ever screw someone over, it will feel very bad and un-fun.  Bottom line: it's not a great card but it has potential to be very unfun (similar to Mindreader Ilucia - but some say priest's class identity is being unfun, so maybe it's okay there =P).

posted a message on what happens at D3?

Try not to think that the system is rigged against you (because, well, it isn't).  You can make it eventually.

Sometimes I just stall at D3-D4, then I take a two day break, come back, and win 10 of my next 11 games or whatever and go on to legend.

Just try your best not to tilt haha.

posted a message on Why Does Everyone Get Off On Being a Douche Bag?

If I play extra cards, it's solely because I have quests to play whatever card.  Not bm.  Just trying to complete quests as soon as I can haha, especially if I only have time for 1-2 games in a given day.

Also, sometimes I like to show the opponent that, even if he could have removed my 20 attack minion or whatever, I would have had lethal anyways.  More of a "truly well played, but it was checkmate anyways" kinda move.  And I mean that genuinely, not in a douchey way haha.  Take it however you want I guess.

Or just concede. Not a big deal.

posted a message on Fun decks in scholomance?

I'm really having fun with weapon rogue.  It seems to be well matched up against most archetypes out there (although, yes, a druid can still high roll ramp against you).  Dr. Krastinov + Self Sharpening Sword can both help you put some immense pressure on the enemy.

It's also just fun to play rogue with stealth cards.  It should have been part of their class identity from the very beginning haha.

posted a message on I Am Disappointed in the Hearthpwn Community

Yeah the Hearthpwn community has been a little whiny for a long time.  I think everyone kinda knows that haha.

I think there is potential for their new system as long as it's done right.  All we can do is wait and see if that is the case haha.  They know it's a touchy subject, so I'm sure they're gonna try their best to make sure everything's done right.  Maybe an optimistic view?  But I prefer to think optimistically rather than focus on so much negativity, which people love to do lol.  It's sad really.

posted a message on Remember when Glide was supposed to be the most annoying card?
    Quote from Sherman1986 >>

I never thought it was the most oppressive card to be ever printed in a card game (seriously, that would be too much), but it is cool. Obviously, Glide has potential. Could be a thing in the future (even in a not so distant one) or never be useful at all (not even in Wild), no one knows, that's for sure.

I never quite thought that either haha.  It's just the vibe I got from some comments here when it was first revealed =P.

I've played my fair share of Magic, and, to a lesser extent, Yu-gi-oh (back in my younger days).  I know oppressive cards, and Hearthstone rarely gets close to some cards from those games haha.

Yeah I'll agree, Mindreader is a hell of a lot more annoying haha.  It sucks to be punished when you're saving some cards for a big swing turn.  I think there should be some counterplay to that (saving cards for big turn) - Dirty Rat was great for this, but Mindreader just doesn't feel good (to play, or to have it played against you).

Serious question here.  Remember when people were saying Glide was the most oppressive card to ever be printed in a card game ever?  Quick follow-up... Has anyone seen it get used yet?

Seriously haha.  I'm sure some people have seen it used, but I don't know why some people didn't see how obviously situational the card was.

I actually haven't been using Shotbot, but you could throw in Libram of Justice and/or Consecration. You could even get away with 1 or 0 Blessing of Kings, since the Justice+Consecration combo can help get you out of a bind (you know, if the enemy druid high rolls out a board of huge minions haha).  A timely Consecration might also be enough to help you against other aggro players out there.

posted a message on Secret Passage is the best designed card in the last expansions

Now that I've been playing aggro rogue, Secret Passage is indeed a fun card to play.  The effect is well designed, yes.  The mana cost though....... Completely different story lol.

As someone said, it could be 3 mana and still see play.  Hell it would "force" aggro rogues into using more Preparations in their deck which would ultimately make the deck more consistent anyways (you heard it here first =P).  Guaranteed it's hit in the first wave of nerfs, but it will be at least more balanced at 2 or 3 mana.

posted a message on Meta Already Settled?

I see a lot of aggro rogues today, at diamond 3-5 ish haha.  I see them enough that I caved and joined them.  Sorry about that. (also I opened a golden Doctor Krastinov)

Also, no, the meta has not settled at all haha, there's a lot of nonsense going around all parts of the ladder.  Lots of swingy, kinda op non-interactive nonsense, but nonsense nonetheless.

I think everyone knew how it would work.  The thing is, at least to me, it's just not an exciting card haha.  Maybe if he had Divine Shield too?  But I guess being 3/12 rather than 3/9 doesn't make a whole lot of difference after his first activation.

I think he could be okay... Just underwhelming and not exciting compared to other legendaries this expansion.

It's a boring card to you? How does slapping divine shield on it make it exciting? That just makes it broken.

As I said, being 3/12 rather than 3/9 doesn't make a whole lot of difference haha.  Unless you can play him on an empty board at turn 10 and copy him with coin and Gift of Luminance.  Even that feels kinda blah.

Anyways, I was just spitballing.  It's definitely a boring card in an expansion full of fairly exciting legendaries haha.
