posted a message on Should Edwin VanCleef be nerfed or changed?
    Quote from FailURGamer >>

I don't think it's a card that warrents a nerf, but the 'unfun' autowin a game on turn 1 2 or 3 just makes me feel like he should go to the HOF

This is only possible because of Foxy Fraud right now since when you Shadowstep it you actually gain enough Mana(by reducing the Cost) to play Edwin on turn 2 or even turn 1 with Coin.

    posted a message on Edwin. 4/4 -> 14/14 how?
    Quote from enoX_36 >>

Dude his play was definitely Foxy Fraud + Edwin + prep + swindle + shadowstep + coin + edwin on the same turn for a 14/14 edwin. The history bar shows it all. What are you talking about?

Its in-line with the history bar. However there is an inconsistency here because it is stated the word Other in Edwin VanCleef so it should have been a 12/12.

It was not used in Kingsbane Rogue at all, you just had Leeching Poison and Kingsbane as wincon. In Odd Rogue it was not optimal. Oil Rogue did rely on Edwin back in the day but that was because we had Conceal + Auctioner but they went with Blade Flurry nerf then. Mill Rogue definitely has no Edwin in there and Water Rogue was basically a menagerie deck. Quite recently we had Weapon Rogue in Scholomance Academy that relied on Self-Sharpening-Sword. Not to mention we also had the Necrium Apothecary Rogue meta for a short time as well.

    HoF him. It's time.

     Yep.

It's not just about one powerful turn, however.

It's about the fact that Rogues have been doing essentially the same turn for nearly seven years.

That's just too dang long, and things should change.

And yes, Edwin rather than Shadowstep, since Shadowstep does a lot of different things many of them new and interesting as the sets shift, but Edwin only does one boring thing.

     Hey, someone gets it!

You HoF cards not because they're too powerful, but because they've been keeping the meta samey. Was Acolyte of Pain breaking the meta? No, but it was the staple go-to card draw for so many decks for so many years that it's outlived it being interesting in the meta. Same with cards like Molten Giant and Mountain Giant. None of them were overpowered, nor did you face them in every deck, but they were a consistent part of the meta basically since launch, and seeing the same effects be crucial every game in the same way. Do I get stomped by a big Edwin every game against Rogue? No. Often they don't have it, and when they do sometimes I have an answer and then they're out of gas and I win. The thing is that scenario's been happening to me literally since before the game launched, and every game that involves an early big Edwin plays out the same: Either I have a removal in hand and win against an empty hand, or I don't and get stomped. It's run its course, and neither the win nor lose scenario against the card is interesting anymore. Just get rid of it.

Rogue had plenty of metas where Edwin wasnt even used. Yes it was used on game launch in a Miracle deck. but expansions changed Rogue decks. Oil Rogue, Quest Rogue, Galakrond Rogue(which was used there), Odd Rogue(saw some experimentation), Water Rogue, Kingsbane Rogue, Mill Rogue (Wild). When it gets support it shines, same with other cards as well and yes i am quite looking at Auctioner too since Druid can abuse it a lot nowadays and is another one of those cards that limit design space.

Edwin is not the problem, Shadowstep is the card that allows that monstrosity.

I agree that Shadowstep gives you up to 2 Mana discount but Foxy Fraud also gives you effectively 2 Mana with the Battlecry. It is as busted as it.It was a common thing during the Counterfeit Coin meta where Edwin was thrown turn 1 at a much higher frequency, needless to say it did not get HoFed then and after Coin rotated it was no longer a problem.

Yes i have the same problem with playing the Corrupted versions of the cards more specifically, it does not happen when it is not Corrupted.

Skyfin is supposed to have synergy with Nightmare Amalgam dragon/murloc, its mostly a dead card but still better than the 6 mana 2/3 deal 2 damage aoe to non-murlocs. That one is pure troll card.

    Quote from DreamsDeferred >>

Ice Block doesn't trigger from self damage. I believe yogg would count as self damage because you can't activate your own secrets.

Unless you meant an enemy yogg against ice block.

Yes i meant the Demon Hunter would play Yogg with Blur vs Ice Block Mage. Seems like Ice Block truly counters the Pyroblasts in Wild so that you would just die if you aren't Immune as well.

    Yogg-Saron

This card has a chance for Rod of Roasting , but what truly happens when you use Blur + Yogg-Saron and Mage has Ice Block while Yogg spams Pyroblasts ?

For Standard Druid will want to run this card as it did in the past.

Most likely priests, I hate it when a priest sees my 2x pyro and Naga.

She can only see 1 Pyroblast not 2, duplicate cards do not show up twice so the Priest will have no idea you are holding 1 or 2 Pyroblasts.

posted a message on The 5 most played cards in Standard and Wild right now - this is how I would nerf them!

You made Raza Priest better they dont even need to run Anduin anymore they just run Raza for 0 mana HP and Shadowform and then they play Zephrys to get the perfect Grand Tournament card named Coldarra Drake and just win straight up.

    Quote from Trevolock3 >>

This is what we need. Aggro has made so many cards unplayable for so long and idiots who play it think they are good.

Except this card is also good vs Control. Combo decks would just be out of control when you don't need to deal with early pressure. It will not make the game more healthy because of Combo decks.

What we need is a card like this Red Riding Hood for anti-aggro.
