posted a message on Why HS comunity isn't demanding?

While I really like the game, and would like to enjoy it to it's fullest, I have been playing less and less. For about two years I'd actually grind the daily 100 gold you can get, but that seems like a distant past now. I can barely stand playing 5 games and not get grossed about some RNG bullshit or some other factor, like UI problems.

I hope blizzard is seeing this as an indication that something is not going so well. Dropping the game as a whole would mean all they money I put in adventures and pre-launch bundles is gone, so it's not an easy decision to take, especially when you still enjoy some aspects of it.

And we do demand, as a community, we really do, A LOT actually. But it takes centuries for blizzard to add 9 deckslots... and when they do give you this crumble of a feature you are so used to getting nothing the euphony just takes over. I really think they need some new people, get some fresh ideas around there, because it feels like they're in an echo chamber talking themselves they're doing the best they can and that ought to suffice.

posted a message on Is it worth to craft the new rogue deck ?
    Quote from TheWamts >>

What are you hoarding so much dust for, exactly?

Because some people don't blow all their resources as soon as they get them on random sub-par value cards when they can keep it and enjoy playing the best/most fun cards in all the expansion yet to come. That's also the reason why they ask questions like the one being asked in this post.

I'm also contemplating crafting that quest. My only doubt comes from the fact that I have not lost a single game against that deck yet, although how strong it seems. A little bit too one-dimentional, probably... I guess I'll wait a bit longer on that one.

posted a message on To the People still playing Jade Druid take a hint

Lol, I love jade druid, but I'm pretty sure that the deck is dead after losing cards like living roots and drake... just not as consistent. To be fair anyone playing the deck right now is a champ for sticking to the deck they love regardless of power level. After trying the new decks I attempted to build a jade druid again... won some games, but I think the deck is not there anymore, not nearly as consistent.

This deck is great. Feels good to play handlock after all this time, first loss after 6 wins due to drawing really poorly.

I guess lots of newer players will have a hard time playing this, given how handlock is such a niche deck, that has to be played very tightly to achieve success, mulligan decisions are so crucial.

That's the kind of hearthstone that makes me happy, hopefully that bullshit mage quest exodia doesn't take over, non-interactive bullshit will make the game shit.

posted a message on Blizzard messes with packs.
    Quote from Ogobum >>

Seriously, you had to realize that people (me) would suggest this be placed in the tin foil hat subforum.  If (and it's a big if) such manipulation were afoot there would be two possible outcomes:

1 - The manipulation would be statistically significant, and would be easily detected by the players as the bug was in the MSoG release.
2- The manipulation would not be statistically significant, as in it would be the same as being completely random.

That being said, I did get more legendaries when I opened half my packs later.

You might be right, but as far as I'm concerned most tracking services available only track the amount of rares, epics, legendaries and goldens you get... but not which of them. This could make such a feature harder to detect, or at least less easy compared to rarity rates.

posted a message on Blizzard messes with packs.

Yes, we all know that, it's called pity timer (nice click bait title, huh?).

     BUT(T) BUT!!1!!111

Given that we know they DO mess with packs to make it so the pity timer comes into action once you open the 40th pack without a legendary, would it be too far fetched to imagine that there are other "timers" or "rules" happening at the same time? I think it might be the case, and here is why. Keep in mind that whenever there's a new expansion I always get together with friends to open the packs we've pre-purchased, so my sample size is a bit bigger than just me, probably still anecdotal, and this I why I'm suggesting it could be the case, not stating it is

For a -very- long time now, I have been observing patterns when I open bulks of packs. This happens a lot, but I'll give the most ridiculous example: after we got rewarded our free packs due to the bug in the release of Mean Streets, I opened 2 Kazakus in 14 packs (I keep a record on legendaries I open). In the vacuum that information could be filed under "pretty damn unlikely" and you would call it a day, but given that it happens so often to me and my friends, to open multiple copies of a card, even if they're epic or rare, when bursting several packs open in a short period of time, I have to wonder. What I'm suggesting is: there could be periods of time when you're more likely to get X card(s).

    What if
the pack bug in means streets happened because the tri-class card screwed up some "rule" we're not aware of? If so, this could be exactly the rule that creates the phenomenon I'm describing, of getting multiple copies of a card when opening lots of packs in one go. Also, what if the impression people got that there was a low rate of legendaries has something to do with those "rules"? Just trowing it out there.

Anyway, today this happened again, to me and my friends. Multiple copies of certain rares and some epics coming very close together and various ones we got 0 copies of. Just now another friend sent me his legendaries he got on packs he just opened, and 2 Ozruk were among the 5. Don't feel bad for him, he got a golden Sunkeeper Tarim, and he regularly gets golden legends... I got in 2 my entire HS career, since GvG launch, lol.

I'm wondering if people who got fewer legendaries opened packs closer to the release of the expansion, because I did, 26 shortly after the packs became openable and had 0 legendaries and 4 epics. Kept 50 to open with friends, about 3~4 hours later, and out of those I got 4 legends and a way higher average of epics.

So, what are your thoughts? Have you experienced similar phenomenons?

TLDR; Maybe there are other rules besides the pity timer that influence what you get in packs. Maybe sometimes those rules create problems, like the one that happened in Mean Streets and what we're assuming could be one with the release of Un'Goro.

PS: I don't think that those rules would necessarily be rigged against us (the pity timer isn't, after all), you could argue it is good to get multiple copies of cards to complete sets, for example. So please no unnecessary drama regarding my saltyness and how I have to complain about everything. I'm just putting this out there to see what people think.

Wow, people are so needlessly aggressive. I don't mind the standard mode quest, but I seriously would if it was arena (kripp school of saltyness).

It is lame if takes up quest space, this is obviously a flaw in their UI.

All the hype I managed to build up has nothing to do with adapt, so I'll just wait for actual playable cards to be released.

posted a message on Hearthstone is really not (so) expensive

After all the cards were spoiled I was convinced the expansion was good enough and went ahead to buy the bundle. I was surprised to notice I could buy diablo III and play it forever for less money than those 50 packs. I'm sure there is a good explanation, but it sure feels awkward... an entire game vs. some packs containing a portion of the first out of 3 expansion being released this year.
