Battletag: Aesop#2717 Region: Europe Trade Only: Yes, you go first
I think Blizzard have finally overstepped the mark. They're spoiling a product which some of us have already paid for, sometimes multiple times over.
Maybe some people like to just roll over and take it, or pretend that getting a reach-around from Edward scissor-hands justifies it, but for those who care, every opportunity should be given to communicate the dissatisfaction with Blizzard's most recent ploys.
I think their right. I almost exclusively play wild now. There's some stuff to still like about the game, but I think the design is now led by the finance guys. There's no reason why they couldn't do the new reward tracker (with lower rewards) along-side the 10g=3wins.
As an individual I have to put my foot down, I just hope enough people do the same.
They should be looking to sell more packs cheaper to more players, not looking to milk dry the ones who don't mind.
I've really enjoyed the game and have bought 3-4 pre-orders including the most recent. I'm regretting it already. To own most of the cards I'm going to have to spend the equivalent of about 6 AAA games a year.
I'm playing the game now at times to grind to the next pack. I can'y justifying giving anymore to Blizzard without a radical shift in their position.
The game is starting to loose it's shine as I realise the multiple psychological tricks they use to increase spending on their game.
It's time for me to vote with my wallet. I'll keep playing, but I suspect the game will rapidly loose it's shine as I can no longer experiment with lots of different and fun decks. But the greed and contempt shown by Blizzard has to be challenged. I hope lots of people will join me in saying no to funding a company that no longer has the best wishes of it's gamers and the longevity of the game at heart and is instead obviously guided by the desire to squeeze the teat as quick possible until the cow's dry.
I hope I'm not the only one who feels like this?
6 Cyberpunks or an incomplete set of Hearthstone cards?
I have a quest to play 50 Corrupted Cards.
Ok, I can, but it's a real grind without the Darkmoon Fair Cards.
It's the last quest I have on weeklies. Will I get 3 new quests tomorrow leaving me 4 to complete? Or will the 3 new ones replace this one meaning I miss out on a weekly?
Hearthstone's getting too expensive now. I didn't mind putting in $60 a year (price of a AAA game), but I always felt there was nothing inaccessible for me by doing that.
How much am I going to have to pay now? Battlegrounds pass is now a pay-to-help-win as you have extra options.
I also have to buy the Tavern Pass to allow me access to rewards on the new tracker. Unless you can purchase this with gold?
That's on top of the bundles to help me stay competitive on standard.
Just feels there're too many things locked behind a paywall now, without the option of me grinding for them if I really wanted.
If the Tavern pass is too extortionate, I'm going to skip the whole thing and just go F2P. Industries like this employ psychologists to assess how to squeeze the maximum profit from their customers. Battlepass, tavern pass and the equivelant purchase of x3 AAA games a year is just too much for me though.
I hit legend with Reno priest.
As I hit legend it showed an Outland pack jumping into my reward chest.
I couldn't see any Outland packs to open on Aug 1st, it seems Blizzard had made a mistake and issued Scholomance packs instead.
My mistake, but I'm amazed that the GM who answered my query didn't say that they'd been switched unintentionally.
Unlike some people, if I have bad service I vote with my feet and won't support a company who does this. I'm happy however I have packs as a reward.
All the best everyone, thanks for the useful comments and to the trolls questioning my maths, I act like an adult and give zero tucks.
I ground Legendary this season and received no packs as my end-of-season report.
Did this happen to anyone else?
I opened a ticket and wasn’t happy at all with the response.
They basically told me “tough sh**”, we can’t see your packs, so we can’t make sure you receive this packs.
I think this is a lie, as in the past a GM has even referenced what rarity of card I opened in a pack.
I’ve pre-purchased Scholomance for £70 and have now asked for a refund. I don’t want to give my money for a product that is working incorrectly with staff who cba to look into my account and check to see if I’ve correctly received awards or not.
