Sorry guys messed up the title - meant to say add MORE achievements! :)
Adding MORE achievements would create a whole new depth of play to the game similar to what achievements have done for World of Warcraft. I'm sure this community can come up with all sorts of achievements but here's just a few off the top of my head:
Kill Heroic Maexxna in 15 rounds or less
Defeat a player in a ranked game without ever fielding a minion by your own action (Freeze Mage achievement) [the "by your own action" part would prevent your opponent's use of Leeroy Jenkins from spoiling your achievement.
Win 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. games in a row in ranked play.
Defeat <insert boss here> without healing, without playing a minion with taunt, without playing a minion with charge, etc. Lots of different possibilities here.
The rewards for more difficult achievements or meta achievements (i.e., successfully completely a certain collection of achievements such as the "Glory of <XYZ> Raider" in WOW) could range from packs to special cards to special card backs, etc.
another great combo is Alextraza, and leeroy combo, fill up enemy side with 1/1, heal your self until you can drop alex, gain leeroy in the process, or mulligan untill you get him, and easy win. key is to not kill her 1 attack minions
Agreed. Once you've got Alexstrasza you can beat Maexxna through fatigue. I crafted this deck because lots of people don't have Alexstrasza. :)
Once I got only 1 attack mobs on the field it was a slow game of healing at least 7 hp, placing 2 mobs only and attacking. Whenever putting more then 2 mobs down the game got a bit crazy and I almost lost control.
Thanks. Yes, it is very important to never play more than 2 minions for 2 reasons: (1) if one of the minions you play is a healing minion (i.e., minion that heals you on their battlecry) and you played more than 2 you'd not be guaranteed that Maexxna would return the healing minion to your deck, and (2) any minion that remains will likely be taken out by Maexxna with her minions (which might be destroyed as well) opening up slots on her playing field for more powerful minions with more than 1 attack.
There are no doubt a few ways to take down Maexxna and while they all have a RNG element to them (including the deck I posted above) this deck seems to have the least RNG sensitivity.
I should clarify this deck is intended for HEROIC Maexxna! :)
Here's a deck I devised that killed Maexxna in one go. Good luck! (Note: Leeroy is not a requirement for this deck to be successful he just allows the win to be achieved faster. If you don't have Leeroy feel free to replace him with a Wolfrider or other low cost charge card.)
This deck is designed to defeat Maexxna. The key objective in the early game is to achieve a field of 7 enemy minions with 1 attack each. This precludes Maexxna from deploying any other minions. Once you've achieved this state of play you will want to use the low cost healing cards to maintain your health as much as possible while not attacking any of Maexxna's minions. Once you have the Guardian of Kings and Earthen Ring Farseer (hereafter referred to as the Healing Minions) in your deck you can heal 9 health every turn while Maexxna's minions can only deal 7 damage to you. At this stage, you ideally want at least one Bluegill Warrior in your hand.
During rounds where you have 21 or less health you should play both of the Healing Minions. During rounds where you have 22-24 health you should play just the Guardian of Kings and use the Bluegill Warrior to deal damage to Maexxna. Be sure not to play more than two minions during any round to ensure that both of your cards are returned to your hand and Maexxna does not destroy any of her 1 attack minions taking out any of your minions. (Note: Maexxna always uses her web hero ability at the beginning of the round so if you only play two minions those minions will always be returned to your hand). Keep this up and you will either eventually defeat Maexxna from minion damage or via fatigue!
I used a Paladin deck with Guardian of Kings, Earthen Ring Farseer, charge cards (including Leeroy) and once you have those three cards (random charge cards) in your deck and you manage to have all 1 attack enemy minions you are mathematically guaranteed a victory.
Maexxna appears to be required to use her heroic ability at the beginning of the turn so she doesn't destroy your minions even if she has minions on the board to do so. That makes a charge-heavy deck viable!
Leeroy Jenkins would be usable every round against Heroic Maexxna after round 3 (assuming you draw the card) since she must return him to your hand. That might be a possibility along with a Hunter UTH deck.
Heroic Maexxna is clearly an indication from Blizzard that Heroic final wing bosses are going to be very challenging. Minion-based decks are irrelevant against Maexxna at least in the early stages. My first try with a Frost Mage was a roflstomp (she beat me!). Back to the drawing board.
Crazy powerful. 0 cost, must be used everyone turn, and returns two enemy minions to her opponent's deck. Oh, and she starts with two Haunted Creeper minions. Gonna try Frost Mage!
Same here. Word got out and a jabillion people are trying to play. Blizzard never seems to estimate the demand correctly when new content is introduced... whether its WOW or (apparently) HS.

Cairne Bloodhoof + Ancestral Spirit + Reincarnate yields 2 full health Cairnes and a full health Baine for 10 mana. That's 25 health and 20 attack for 10 mana!

Killed Anub with a Control Warrior.
Control Warrior and Tempo Druid got eaten alive by Faerlina. Went to Frost Mage and killed her easy.
Zoolock beat Maexxna very easily.

Squelch plus an open web browser to do something productive while they draw out their turns is how I handle it. :)

Here's the craziest pack I ever opened - 2 Legendaries, 1 epic and 2 rares (1 of them golden)
