    Sounds like Fel Reaver is the communal choice. After reading through the comments, I can definitely see it's potential now, and especially over the other two options. Picked it up and on we go!

    OPTIONS FOR PICK #2: Force-Tank MAX vs Shattered Sun Cleric vs ArchmageSo, gut reaction here is the Shatter Sun Cleric. Force-Tank MAX seems like a close second, but I feel like I should value the 3-drop that can help buff/keep alive a 1- or 2- drop a little higher. Thoughts?

     That's not even a choice really. Shattered Sun Cleric. Force Tank max is good if you have need of a late game card, Archmage is okayish but there' just way better 6 mana cards you could be drafting, and with a Fel Reaver in tow, both him and tank seem rather clunky. Cleric is most flexible plus has better potential due to the buffs.

    posted a message on Rewards in arena

    It happens from time to time. As to whether they are good or not is really not important. Always nice to have free cards. While yes it does hurt you in terms of potential gold if you're one of those players who DE's useless cards it might come in handy later on since it is free dust you're getting in exchange for gold.

    By the way, the frequency of getting cards as rewards seems to have be raised a bit. I believe it's used as a catch up mechanic trying to get new players to fill their collections a bit quicker than by usual means. I might be wrong though.

    I disagree. Solemn Vigil is A Rank. Used 2 in a deck, oh the wins!

    Maybe even S.

    The conditional requirement is largely irrelevant, as it is combo-able with both removal & board trading.

    It rarely even requires an alteration in your intended play:

    • "I'm Paladin -> 90% of the time I'm control -> I trade into your board -> I get insane value card draw."
    • "I'm Paladin -> You've out-tempo'ed me-> I use a board clear -> I get insane value card draw."

    The vast majority of the time, it's a "1 mana, draw 2 cards"; amazing value with negligible loss of tempo.

    Exactly, I hope Adurin picks it up!

    Rankings are not up to me, they are up to you guys. I'm just here to listen and see what your suggestions are and change them accordingly.

    I've just finished updating the lists. A few dozen BRM cards got some Rank+ and 1 or 2 got a Rank- so be sure to check out the new tier lists to see all the updates.

    As for the 2 missing cards from Paladin/Rogue they now been properly placed in their Tier Lists and Ranked accordingly.

    posted a message on Priest draft - weird card rankings or maybe i don't understand something?

    I've recently begun using HearthArena and I find the system to be incredibly deceptive. While its true it generally gives you a decent well balanced deck you still need to come to your own conclusion. I've let HearthArena draft me some pretty amazing decks and they don't tend to go usually past 6 wins proactively unless you get really lucky in some of the later games. I think you should use it more as a tool that gives you more information to arrive at your own conclusion while also keeping a detailed record of your stats; win/losses v X/X classes and your rewards so you have a really good table of just how good you are in Arena. I say make your own picks instead of letting it make them for you. I found that talking through the choices like if you were streaming or talking with someone else really helps you get into the right mentality for the drafts and the games to follow.

    Nothing in the initial few posts is really new to me and i seem to have the valuation of neutral minions and all spells right, but somehow its incredibly hard to get past 3-4 wins lately. Ive been trying different approaches, ran my cards by arenavalue several times and it usually doesnt surprise me. Im not totally new to this game, been at it for almost a month and i have considerable 'Duel of Champions' experience (if anyone is familiar with that). What i do often try to do is build a little synergistic set of cards if it seems there; mechs/ murlocs/ whatever, i guess that might not be worth it. Otherwise i dont see whats missing exactly. Any advice/ pointers/ things to read or watch welcomed.

    You shouldn't be going for any individual synergy when it comes to drafting in Arena. You should focus more on "Mana Curve" and Value cards per the curb itself. Its more about having a great early game, decent mid game, and good late game. Nice amount of minions and some removal/board clears if possible. Trying to get any individual synergy going on purpose actually hurts your overall deck. Trump for instance picks cards in draft like I stated above, and any synergy like mech and such is purely coincidental, every now and then he picks 1 or 2 cards purposely for the synergy but thats when his draft is already top notch.

    I have had a lot more problems with pally since gvg am I alone in that ?

    With Muster for Battle, and Quartermaster added, Paladin has become a serious contender, not to mention some of its other class cards are pretty good in Arena. I've had trouble with Paladin myself.

    So i am a new player, and i am about to try out Arena for my 10th time i think.

    I can choose between: Warlock, Rogue and Mage. Which one should i pick?

    Thanks =)

    Wrong thread to post under. But choose the one you're most comfortable with. Personally I would go mage.

    Missing cards will be properly placed once this week's update goes through. Also there's already a nice selection of cards that will be getting re-ranked with the update so be on the look out for that.
