Lucky streaks are of course possible too, or like you said, other factors manipulating my perceptions.
The only reason I could see Blizz doing this is to internally balance something that is overpowered while staying precious with the design of certain cards and not wanting to nerf/buff them in normal ways. In this scenario it wouldn't make them more money but could prevent the game from being unfun and losing players, and thus losing money. I doubt this is happening but that is the only thing I could think of.
I'm actually in agreement here. Things have been buggy before in strange ways. My Mutanus seems to have been going in my favor quite often, and I also seem to draw Mrg Mrgrgle in the early game more reliably than any other card in my deck (playing Reno Pally in wild)
Obviously everyone is going to say it's RNG but I also trust my intuition. What I want to know is: is a bug like this even possible? or can cards secretly have values that make them more commonly eaten or drawn? is it even possible to mistakenly put that in the game? I Know nothing about coding/game programming
Tight. I feel like I remember Giraffes from around the time when that album came out. I'm big on math rock. Love Dillinger Escape Plan and Fall of Troy and Converge. Putting these in my spotify and will check em out. Thanks!
Looking for some new music and want to get some suggestions and hear about other people's favorite albums. The goal here is to only pick "off the beaten path" albums. Please don't suggest Dark Side of the Moon or Illmatic or Sgt. Pepper's for example. I'm looking for the deeper cuts or things that others may or may not be aware of. Let's say keep it to a maximum of 3 choices. I'll start
Lightning Bolt: Hypermagic Mountain - for those who don't know this is some of the greatest noise rock of all time IMO. Just a drummer and a bassist who distorts the shit out of his bass and makes it sound like the grimiest thing ever. These guys are real artists and if the mood strikes this is some of the best stuff.
Broken Social Scene: Broken Social Scene - self-titled album by a large ensemble group. I like most of their stuff but this album is groovy, it rocks, it's fun, emotional, cool. This is one of my most listened to albums of all time. This can be played on a first date, while just hanging out, at a party or when you're down. It really does it all for me.
Leon Vynehall: Music for the Uninvited - One of my favorite house/deep house albums that has some real resonance to it. One of the first albums that really got me into house music. If you take nothing from this thread, just do me one favor and listen to St. Sinclair from this album. Please.
I know most people use these things primarily to complain, but I think wild is actually quite fun and healthy rn. I'm at Diamond 2 right now so can't speak to Legend but there have been a large variety of decks I've seen and I've been having fun. Just to list a few I've seen
Druid: Jade, Linecracker, Mechathun, Malygos
Mage: Secret, APM
Warrior: Pirate/Questline
Warlock: Reno, Owl/Deathrattle
Rogue: Big Deathrattle, Kingsbane, Quest
Hunter: Questline/Odd, Deathrattle
Paladin: Aggro/Secret, Handbuff
Demon Hunter: Odd, Aggro
Shaman: Shudderwock, Overload/Burst
Priest: Shadow
I think more importantly is that within these archetypes I have seen a lot of variation. For example when it comes to Shudderwock shaman or any of the Druid decks I feel like I can't be totally sure what to expect. Yes, quest pirate is still the most prominent deck, but not unbeatable and not unfun to play against imo. I've been playing a custom Double N'Zoth Reno Paladin.
What has your experience been? and do you think wild is actually half-way decent right now or am I crazy
I feel like people in this thread are overrating the presence and power of aggro a little bit. This is not nearly as bad as playing 80% Demon Seeds decks or when Darkest Hour was running everything. I'm still enjoying wild now tbh
If I play Zeph, the game crashes and its like this since 21.6. Its not a small issue, they should have fixed it already, so I really hope they fix Zeph before the expansion. There are a lot of decks with new cards I want to try like:
I will also try the new frost shaman stuff, Im just not sure about the optimal shell, maybe Reno Galakrond shaman? Anyways the new expansion looks fun, the power creep is real. Im pretty sure we will have a meta shift, probably not with the decks I have mentioned, but the power level is high enough to make an impact on the meta.
I was actually thinking about a Dead Man's Hand Even Warrior with the new spells but a recruit warrior gets me a little more excited
I'm curious to hear what other combos people have schemed up or what decks you're excited about playing. I'm a primarily wild player who plays mostly Paladin and I am really looking forward to giving my Big Paladin Deck another shot, and also excited to play a Reno Paladin with Cariel and handful of the new cards. Hbu?
Well it seems like the consensus here is not to buy. But I am going to and here is why.
First, I usually buy the preorders, I haven't a couple times for various reasons but usually I go for it. I think this expansion looks especially fun. I always really enjoy card reveal season but I think this may be the most excited I have ever been for new cards. So many interesting, fun and powerful cards seem to be coming. (for some reason I am also thinking I was very excited for Boomsday) I play wild, mostly paladin and druid, but I dabble in everything. I also usually buy for this reason because I like to explore everything and keep all my cards so I can be creative when I want to.
I would say if money isn't a thing then why not? unless you have the gold and dust to where it doesn't matter and you can just get everything that way.
P.S. I am not a Blizzard plant. I actually feel this way.
I see this finding it's way into some decks with them only running a single copy. That's a lot of minion options to buff for Paladin - I mean you could have a windfury, lifesteal or divine shield, or you have a sticky stealth minion. I think it's going to be interesting and actually provides a lot of variety
I haven't tried Decoy in this version but I did in the previous one. The problem is that as a standalone play it is very weak. If you draw it and can play it it's great, but If it is hit by any of your cheat cards (Duel, Pris or Commencement) you end up losing even more tempo than you already have by playing a low stated, non-taunt minion which your opponent can ignore, they may have no minions to bash it into, and you may not have a minion or the right minion in hand to summon from it's death rattle. It just introduces too much variability.

Great explanation though. Thanks!

this card might get weird in a paladin deck with Librams or a lot of buffs. Can sorta play around your opponents honorable kill

All I see is this in my wild Duel! Big Dragon Paladin Deck. Literally rubbing my hands together like Mr. Burns

I have to say that based on the first looks at the cards in this set - this seems like it has some of the most creative cards I've seen - maybe ever

Turalyon and Tirion are both solid/good replacements. Others are The Lich King, Ragnaros the Firelord, Living Monument, Ysera (is actually quite good), Plagued Protodrake, Ragnaros, Lightlord, and Shirvallah, the Tiger (which I have stated above I believe is currently fairly weak in this deck)
