Love that card, super fun fun and underrated. Keeeeeeep. Even warlock isn’t that fun at tbh same dust from brawls and gold and whatnot or just drop 10 bucks on 7 packs

posted a message on New Paladin Minion - Immortal Prelate

As of today and Of the first handful revealed this has been the second most meta-defining rated card.

    1. Void Contract 35%

    2. Immortal Prelate 20.9 %

    3. Spirit of the Shark 20.3%

I think it’s great. The two paladin cards revealed really seem to pair with classic set - Tiger + Holy Wrath, Prelate + Blessing of Kings etc. Maybe a design focus?

Almost all of the first revealed are in the very good/playable rating. I think it’s a good sign and is  accurate.

posted a message on How many legendary cards have received recently?

I've been buying a lot of packs recently, I found that if you usually get one in 30 packs, for every 40$ I'd spend I'd expect one it can be worse but usually isn't. People say pity timer of 40 but I bet if you averaged it it would be more like one for every 24.7 packs or something.

Whizbang the Wonderful. He can only be obtained when generated by random effects, but Blizzard still gave him a fantastic play animation, which I really appreciate.

In my evolve shaman deck I got him the other day and I gasped

id prefer a custom mode, where you choose what you allow, with something like 30+ settings, and then create your game, it could be lobbies, whatever, that's whats needed

    This.

posted a message on A new Format is due

I thought they should have a mode where you can play any of the past years, have ‘year of the mammoth standard’ for example, for all the past standard sets. Would keep decks alive indefinitely

posted a message on Past Standard Formats Game Mode

You know what I would love to see? a subset of Wild where you can play any past standard year. With power creep going to be reaching absurd levels in the near future, many cards will literally never see play outside of casual mode unless you're doing it for the lulz. Maybe I'm overlooking something but I don't see the downside from Blizzard's POV. It would encourage players to buy from old sets, creates more conversation and attention around the game, more decks to be played, more diversity in the player experience. Idea inspired by pokemonshowdown (shout outs)

posted a message on Star Aligner Combo Not Counterable

I have TWO counters that I stumbled upon, both a little wonky but work!

    1. Snipe + a spell damage minion. You have to time it right but if you do so when they play Aviana she gets Sniped for 5. game.

    2. Sergeant Sally. Sergeant. effing. Sally. Played her in a handbuff Paladin deck for fun got her up to 8 health and attack, put her out right before combo and boom, cleared board. game.

posted a message on Battlecry Silence/Tech Card?

I've been thinking about having some sort of card that works like a secret and ultimately renders you opponents next battlecry useless (could even be a minion effect). Why isn't there something like this? For most things in the game there is a tech card or an answer for it, between weapon destroys, secret destroys, silences, even freeze for god's sake. Would it be too powerful? or frustrating? or maybe just ruin so much of what the game is about and what Blizzard is trying to do. I don't know seems kind of like a no brainer to me. Help deal with Shudderwock, Star Aligner combo etc

posted a message on how do you use Tracking?

I've been playing secret Hunter for a little while with some success, but I took out my Trackings because I always felt like they hurt more than they helped or just didn't help as much as something else could. I look at most of the other secret Hunter decks and a lot of them play it. I have a few questions or am just looking for insights or how other people see/use the card.

If you get it in your opening hand do you use it turn one?

do you swap it out in mulligan phase? or look for it?

do you usually wait until your hand is low to use it? or just play it when you have a leftover mana?

I know most of this is going to be situational and the correct answer is probably just to do whatever is necessary at the given time, but if you can help at all or have any insights it would be greatly appreciated. You can look at basically any standard secret hunter and thats what I'm running (Subject 9, Mossy, Secretkeeper, Spellstone, about 7 secrets, etc)

posted a message on Best Summon Quote

I love what they did with The Darkness' voice. When your opponent pulls a candle and he says "one by one..." in that deep voice. Gets me every time.

@Wailor - Thats true. There are a bunch of great, epic and even philosophical(?) or mildly profound ones. Like Keleseth's "TRUTH IS FOUND IN DEATH" so good.

@Echo_ - Quotes and animations are an unsung joy of this game. One that can to mind is Glass Knight, animation-wise. No quote but a cool sound and a great golden crystallizing effect.

Doppelgangster though is all time: "Get em Boys! (seeing trip- seeing triple?)"

Edit: Zilliax's last days, sad but it's time.

posted a message on Class Mastery Cards (class only decks)

So I used to play the DBZ Trading Card Game by Score back in the mid 2000s (it was gr8) and they introduced this mechanic after the first few sets called Mastery cards. Where if your deck was composed of all cards of a specific class you essentially got a passive power or card that stayed on the board.

I think this in HS would be super fun, for example a deck composed of all Paladin cards that gives you a card: "all damage done by your opponent is reduced by 1" or a Hunter card that essentially acts as a second hero power and can be tapped "give a minion stealth until next turn" now these might be OP, but a just a couple examples.

I was also thinking a Freestyle Mastery card, where you have only neutral minions and no other cards (this also was in DBZ, kinda) with an effect like "Select your opening hand" and when you craft your deck, the first 3 or 4 cards you put in would be your opening hand. Just an idea, let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.
