I tried him in beast hunter and he's far worse than highmane. I think even Boulderfist Ogre is better since you have the option of going face and 6 attack won't get stolen or Kodoed. I beat a hunter last night when I cabal his Max which he got from Webspinner
I would run two [card]Savannah Highmane[/card] in most of my decks if that card was neutral. A 6/5 is way better than 6/4 and two 2/2s is usually better than what I was getting from my [card]Piloted Sky Golem[/card] There have been nerf requests to make [card]Savannah Highmane[/card] a 6/4 since he's that good.
Ever since Boom came onto the scene, I am seeing far less Geddons. Also many Warriors choose to run double brawl instead. Still, hold onto all non duplicate cards, they may become useful someday. Also when Boom gets nerfed, Geddon might take back it's rightful place.
I run Both Sneed's and Boom in all my decks. I find Sneed's to be just as good as Boom, but at a cost of 1 mana more, still worth it. A few days ago, my Sneed's became Malganis and in another game, Deathwing! Opponent either didn't draw BGH or used it on my Boom so I won those games.
Buy 60 packs instead, the cost per pack would be much less! I bought 70 GvG packs a while back and got three legs, two of them golden, all of them Thermaplugg lol. Got nearly 5k dust from the 60 packs, including 1600 from duplicate Therm. Was able to craft a golden epic and golden leg.
Wow, that is some luck! I've opened a golden leg a few times, but never two legs in one pack. Best I think was a nongold leg and golden epic in same pack. I also think I once had three golden cards(common, common, rare) in one pack.
I think it's already 100% clear this is fake by numerous reasons one of them being the fact that they have the default watermark of all non-expansion cards which automatically proves they are fake...
Fakes indeed. But the watermark means nothing, for example Iron Juggernaut leaked without watermark.
This. The real Iron Jug was 6/5, it got a slight nerf during testing before release. I wonder if a 6/6 Jug would be run in most Warrior decks? I don't see many Jugs now, mostly Shieldmaidens instead. While the new leaked cards are fake, can anyone investigate the leaked nerf of Boom as a 5/5? What if it turns out to be real like Jug and the other 3 leaked GvG cards almost everyone thought was fake? My Boom thread: http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/card-discussion/50092-possible-nerf-of-dr-balanced-boom-from-7-7-to-5-5#reply
I would not DE anything you don't have 2+ of. There's no hurry, especially if you have Boom already. I am just saving my dust for the next expansion and when Boom gets nerfed, ill have the dust to craft it's replacement.
I actually use him in my Demon-zoo deck. He replaced my Sylvanas, which did not perform too well in that deck. In demon-zoo it can be pulled by voidcaller or it can be played on the same turn with some of your many cheap Cards. Works way better for me than Sylvanas (in this specific deck)
My Sylvanas does synergize with power overwhelming and void terror. I should give illidan a try instead.
Try searching for "Possibile nerf a Dr. Balance?" on Google, I found two more results with the same pictures of 5/5 Boom at the top of the search results. That news of the nerf is all over the net in different languages, use Google translate to your native language, such as English. As for the pictures being fake, you be the judge of that. I am treating this news is "unconfirmed" and "unofficial" but remember we saw 4 leaked pics of GvG including 6/6 Iron jug and they turned out to be very close.
well on of kripps latest videos shows u how extremely easy it is to just forge these kind of photos, so i only believe it if it gets announced.
yes i am pro-nerf but a nerf this hard seems overly ridiculous. i dont think they would nerf it THAT hard that it becomes utter garbage (compared to undertaker or leeroy) ... although looking at starving buzzard...
Yes, believe it when you see it. I am simply showing you the pictures I found and I am sure there's many more out there on the web. Some people, such as Zekana actually think 5/5 is better than 7/7 because of how OP BGH is.
...this honestly feels like a buff to me. cant be bgh'd and you still spawn 2 1/1's. though ya, most likely fake.
The quoted poster above is calling it a huge nerf. I personally call it a small, but reasonable and justified nerf. Immune to BGH but you lose 2/2 of stats as a tradeoff. Much easier to deal with sans BGH and you can use BGH on some other target.
No need to fear anything. I think Blizzard said that they were not planning to ever nerf Dr. Boom.
Edit : And obviously, it is photoshoped. Just take a look at the 7, and the 5s.
I did a Google image search for Loatheb and the right "5" is smaller than the left, same as that Boom image. Also Blizz did not say "never" they did say they are keeping an eye on Boom "MD: We’re keeping an eye on him, but I’m pretty happy with the fact people are playing a 7-drop even in the rush decks. There hasn’t been a 7-cost minion that’s been playable for a long time, maybe ever. So I’m totally fine with people playing Dr. Boom. I would like to see more variety in the 7-drops, like if he was a class card and other classes had different 7-drop minions I’d slightly prefer that, but that comes with time and new cards being released. He’s very strong, though. He’s an awesome card."
I think the only way blizz is gonna nerf it is by adding more viable 7 drops in upcoming expansion.
If future 7 drops are similar to Troggzor, they will just be ignored. If they are similar in power as Boom, they will just replace the rest of the legendaries. Who will ever run 8-10 drops if 7 drops are more powerful? Makes no sense to me!
While doing a Google search for "Hearthstone Boom nerf" I stumbled upon that website and became extremely excited at the probable nerf that also makes perfect sense. The pictures look real as well and I remember seeing some leaked pictures of four GvG cards(legs?) that turned out to be correct except Iron Jug was 6/5 rather than 6/6 in the leaks. Those leaked pictures could be the developers testing out Boom as a 5/5 and aren't final nor confirmed, but I believe this is what the new, balanced Boom will be from a logical standpoint. Next expansion announcements are July 22 with nerfs to follow.
We have seen other cards nerfed before after months, the most recent being undertaker. Many nerfs involve a mana cost increase, but since there's few good cards in the 7 mana slot, Blizzard has listened to us and is leaving the cost alone at 7, but instead plans to nerf Boom's body to 5/5. I thought he would cost 8 mana, but we already have several good 8 drops. Others suggested he become 7/5 but 5/5 makes more sense since it means BGH won't be mandatory in your deck. A 6/6 body might actually be a buff but a 5/5 body isn't too difficult to trade your minions into.
80% of us knew Boom was wildly OP as he was a 9/9 over three bodies with 2-8 random damage to enemies. Boom complaints were all over the Internet on a daily basis, this very forum receiving 10+ threads a day. He violated the vanilla test and forced nearly everyone to buy packs, save dust and craft him for all of their decks except facehunter. Not only was he the best in the 7 slot, he was the best at ALL slots, period! There was no point running other legendary minions, including class minions when Boom did the job better and cheaper than 8-10 drops including Ragnaros and Cenarius. It forced non aggro decks to include BGH as a soft counter, making other 7+ attack minions unviable.

I hope there's at least 100 new cards since we saw that many from GvG. Sales will be poor if there's less than 100.

$70 for 60 packs is cheaper than $50 for 40 packs. That extra dust can give you the legendary you need next expansion.

Save both Brawls, I find them far more useful than Harrison Jones
