Quest rogue broke wild. Control is dead and has largely vanished from wild by now. Legend is mostly quest rogue mirrors. The most popular deck is quest rogue and it beats everything except hyper aggro such as token druid and facehunter. Even regular aggro is sometimes too slow! People are already calling for a renerf and I am optimistic it will happen sometime in April along with several standard cards balance patch.
Well, my concerns came true. Control is dead in wild. Quest rogue is tier 0 and can win turns 4-6 which means only hyper aggro is viable in wild. Been hearing quest rogue is 50% of wild and can beat aggro decks as well. You need something like token druid which wins turn 3 or 4 to be viable. Hopefully quest rogue gets re-nerfed in the next several days back to 5 bounces and 4/4 reward.
Control, including all Reno decks, big priest, odd warrior, etc are dead till Blizz renerfs quest Rogue. I was right that it would break wild and create a hyperaggro meta.
@IksarHS With boar and bluegill sticking around. Any worries about quest rogue?
@TaggermcBagger Not really, part of the goal was that some of these old decks come back into the fray and balance each other out. Also if it's truly an issue our turnaround on addressing things is pretty fast these days when it comes to balance. (Source)
We are all extremely scared that quest rogue will break wild and force out midrange/control decks. The good news is they have been much more proactive in balancing their game. We can speculate all we like, but we will find out in a few days how much damage quest rogue actually does. I fear the worst and that it's game over for midrange/control and we will need that quest renerfed all the way back to where it was.
Looks like I was mostly correct after all. I also thought it would let you choose a minion this time vs. spells. You indeed can choose a minion and give it stats like taunt, rush, stealth, windfury, lifesteal, etc from what I hear.
You need a minion heavy deck with quest Rogue or you won't have enough 5/5s. I am far more worried about animated broom and even stonetusk/bluegill, especially if they get reverted. Pen flinger is likely to get nerfed so it can't ping heroes as well. Many of us fear quest Rogue will kill control in wild.
Check out Reddit: "Is it just me or looks the first card like the belt of Kazakus? Is it possible that we get a re-designed one and could it imply, that Highlander doesn't die out?"
I would be a little surprised if Blizz decides to keep supporting highlander but maybe they will allow highlander to occupy a niche role in the meta. Zephrys is rotating out after all and Blizz reverted albatross back to 3 mana in wild, perhaps because they are printing another highlander card this year.
Blizz buffed a whole bunch of cards. I remember they said Edwin would be reverted, but he's still 4 mana. Maybe he would break wild if reverted back to 3 mana. All the buffs were to cards appearing in this years core set. 3 expansions are rotating to wild in about 3 weeks, anyone hear of any of those cards getting their nerfs reverted? It would be good if no more nerf reversals since wild power level is already too high.
I am having problems against evolve shaman, but certainly Kobold Stickyfinger help a lot in this matchup. I have added in my highlander priest.
Playing Vs hunter, warrior, dh or a bit vs rogue is also useful and against other classes at least is a pirate for N'Zoth, God of the Deep
How does sticky fingers help if you are dead next turn from a full evolved board? isn't it better to just clear their board instead? Maybe ooze will work since you will still have left over mana for clears.

There's a real chance Blizz will nerf Tickatus among other cards. They are going to discuss balance.

Quest Rogue is going to destroy Renolock and all non aggro decks. I fear it will break wild too.

Same here, many of us think quest rogue will break wild. It may force out all non aggro decks out of the meta :(

Then why did we see about 50 reverts/buffs now? For example BGH is partially reverted to 4 mana.

I think only one Jax, they buffed the old one.
