Kramnidorach posted a message on Tavern Brawls, Legendary Quests & More before the Tombs of Terror Launches on September 17!Posted in: NewsSince I hated previous adventure I'll probably pass on this. (at least the final wing, with that 12 boss in a row thing, where 8 was already too long imho. too bad, that barman in the middle to change your deck was a good idea though),

Dunscot posted a message on Why is Priest so bad?Posted in: General DiscussionAccording to some Hearthpwn users, Divine Spirit and Mind Blast are way too strong and should totally get nerfed - before the rotation. And Control Priests throughout time made good use of Cabal Shadow Priest, Mind Control and sometimes Shadow Madness and Auchenai Soulpriest.
But when the developers rather waste several expansions to introduce quirky themes that don't work at all with the core set and that they have no intent to support further, like Bwonsamdi, the Dead or Lady in White, or printing a dozen Deathrattle related cards like Reckless Experimenter, Coffin Crasher or Shadowy Figure without impactful deathrattle minons and an overarching win condition, you quickly end up with a class that has no consistent strategy and ends up in a bad spot.
Even classes with "too good" core sets can end up there. Warrior was completely off the map after the nerf to Fiery War Axe and underwhelming cards in Frozen Throne, Kobolds and Witchwood. Then Boomsday gave them several good cards and BOOM all these core cards are super unfair again and way too strong and should totally get nerfed. Just back in March this year, Rogue was not very good. The class was also very average (if not below average) throughout 2016 before MSG.
Just shows you that the core set isn't necessarily bad, nor is it too good. It just needs support to work as intended. That's the unfortunate fate of Priest that they share with most classes by now and some got it even worse than Priest. When there is not enough support or the meta just doesn't favor your deck strategy, you have to switch classes.
That said, I'm sure Priest will look a lot better by the end of the year. The stuff they got in RoS is very solid, Nomi Priest is already somewhat playable (yet difficult to play) and Priest is guaranteed a full board clear per year. Sooner or later, the class will be good again.

My favorite antagonist and one of my favorite cards

haha same here. If possible, I try to include him in every simple meme deck

Hmm.. funny. I used secret mage as well to get to rank 4. Didn't bother to get any further, the game became repetitive and I saw a lot of counters against secret mage (yes a lot of frustration for Eater of Secrets and kezan). Also I had to play a lot against other secret mages. So much, that even as a secret mage myself, I included kezan for countering the mirror matches.
But I don't think the deck is a problem on its own. It is really strong yes, but so are other aggro decks like mech hunter and odd paladin. And there are easy ways to counter the deck, which is happening a lot right now. So I don't think there is a actual problem.
Well that is just sad. If this is your solution for your own frustration, then I think it is better to take a break.
The whole part of hearthstone is to play different classes and different archtypes. It wouldn't be a healthy game if you always win with the same type of deck.

Game play: I prefer MTGA over HS. I've been playing MTG and HS for a long time, but MTG is more complex and has more different deck styles. The power level between cards is higher on MTG than in HS. But the impact 1 card has seems less relevant. The use of lands adds an extra dimension in the already complex game. Also I really like to use spells in your opponents turn (Flash and Instants). Gamewise I would play MTG over HS.
Graphics and Artwork: This is an easy one. The art of MTG is outstanding. I could look at pictures all day. HS is nothing in comparison to that. The graphics seems also better on MTGA. The way a mythic card comes into play seems way cooler than a legendary from HS. One thing HS does better than MTGA is the gameboard. The silly things you can click on are a fun thing to do by itself. Still, I'll use MTGA over HS due to the beautifull artworks.
Time investment and costs: Yes, MTGA gives you some starting decks you can work on, as well as some dual decks if you play along a little further. But after a few matches you come to see you have to invest a lot just to play a decent deck. To play F2P on MTGA, you have to invest a lot of time. You may get more packs in a day, but the result is also less. Remember that you can have the same card 4x in a deck. If you want a good deck, you need staples and to do that, you need to open a lot of packs. On HS you start with the basic set and you open packs while grinding for gold. Doing you daily quests on HS requires between 15 min to an hour, while doing your quests on MTGA requires multiples hours. Also, MTGA doesn't give you the option to dust cards. Overall, HS cost less and is less time consuming than MTGA.
For me: I play HS more than MTGA. I don't have and don't want to invest that much time in a game. If I play MTG, I'll play with the real cards.

They gave us a free class legendary upon release since KoFT. With KnC they gave us Marin first and a class legendary weapon upon release.
I think it will be the same. So archmage vargoth on the Fifth and upon release a class legendary.

Finally my Face Collector makes his debut! super card value

You start seeing meta decks when you hit rank 20. There are a lot of people who are grinding for gold at that level.

I take him as a joke. He is by far one of the best, but sometimes fun to watch.
