I have literally not played a game in the last year where I am not literally screaming in rage in my apartment at the fucking bullshit RNG that happens. Beast hunter opponent gets a Revive Pet into King Krush for perfect lethal. Big mage opponent top decks Mordesh to burst me down 10 for perfect lethal after freezing my board for five turns in a row. Both my naga wigs being in the bottom of my deck with my tutor cards never offering or pulling them. I fucking hate this game and each match makes it so much more.
I haven't had fun in this game in literal years. I don't mean 'I often have bad times with this game', I mean that every single game is agony and torture between netdecked beast hunters, netdecked aggro druids, insane luck, horrible misplays by my opponent, and me wanting to gouge my eyes out. I literally have not had fun in this game since Frozen Throne
Boy howdy do I love facing the same exact cookie cutter quest hunter deck a hundred billion times in a row on ladder. What a fun and interactive gameplay experience do those games provide.
Love how I plan each of my turns carefully in arena, building up a great boardstate while choosing the best answers and plays
Then my opponent plays a topdecked Ysera the Dreamer which gives him a free boardclear, large target removal, ability to shit minions on the board, and (of course) nightmare for lethal
Screw optimal gameplay when you can just play one legendary and get all the OP cards you could ever wish for
Pufferfist needs to be nerfed into oblivion. Oh, remember Ravaging Ghoul? One of the strongest Warrior minions ever printed? What if we give it +1 health, have it not damage your own minions, have it do face damage, have it be a constant effect, made it neutral, and gave it a critically important Pirate tag?
It boggles my mind that this card made it past playtesting. Did they think Quest Warrior needed to be even more broken? It's more consistent (and usually better) version of Defias Cannoneer, they fucking powercrept the last mini-set
Can we take a moment to truly address how fucking batshit out of control powercreep is in this game?
Back in the Rastakan meta, Odd Mage was a popular deck. The deck required you to warp your entire deck to only have odd cards for the reward of having a 2 damage hero power. This was further bolstered by the legendary Jan’alai, the Dragonhawk which summoned Ragnaros if you dealt 8 damage with your hero power.
Now, mage can match the hero power buff with one fucking mana thanks to Wildfire, and can even be stronger than Odd Mage ever dreamed. [[Reckless Apprentice]] is fucking overpowered and would be run at 6 mana. And both combine to ensure that Mordresh Fire Eye is essentially guaranteed to be activated by turn 8, which is infinity stronger than Jan'alai would ever be.
You don't have to warp your deck for an OP effect, you don't have to wait until turn 15 to deal enough damage with your hero power play a 7 mana 4/4 to summon Ragnaros. You just play your 1 mana Wildfires, 4 mana 3/5 board clears, and 8 mana 8/8 'pyroblast all enemies' without even needing to check if you've activated it, because you're guaranteed to have already done so.
I literally can't remember the last Hearthstone game I've played where I've felt anything other than utter rage. Every fucking game I draw my late game cards in my mulligan. Every fucking game my opponent plays the dream opener with dream answers.
Like it feels like every game my opponent is snickering behind their keyboard at the crazy fucking luck they have with their draws and matchups, perfect answers while building up value and building a board. My opponents playing decks that I've played before that I couldn't DREAM of getting as lucky as they are. I'm fucking sick of it. I've gone months without feeling any semblance of joy in this fucking game
Was just trying to end the night with a win on my homebrew Ichman hunter deck. Four games in a row I brought my opponent to less than 3 health only for them to either armor completely out of reach or rush me down.
Lost my last game to a guy who played the perfect Tasmin-faceless manipulator -faceless manipulator double curse of agony OTK deck that had less than a 2% chance to actually kill me from full health. What a fucking shitty way to end it
I have, without exaggeration, faced 7 different quest shamans in a row on ladder. I'm climbing with a Highlander Paladin deck and I actually have an okay winrate against them so far (5-2), but since I'm literally seeing almost no other deck I figure I may as well tech against it.
So what deck is the strongest counter to quest shaman?
Personally it's because I've invested so much money (~$200) and so many hours into this game over the last 3 years that I feel compelled to keep playing even though I despise it because otherwise all that money and time would have been a waste.

What deck is the hardest counter to Prestor Druid? I honestly couldn't care less about other matchups

I've faced three arena opponents in a row that have played two Troll Centaruian by turn 9
Two copies of one of the best arena cards in the meta in the top 13 cards of their deck

ANY time a card can be increased by 3 mana and still see play means that card needs to get nerfed.
See:
Defile
Psychic Scream
Both would still be run at 5 and 10 mana respectively

Number of games where I win with my Highlander Paly deck because I draw Finley: ~90%
Number of games where Finley offers me the upgraded Shaman hero power: 100% (not exaggerating)
Number of games where Finley is actually in the top 2/3 of my deck: ~5%

*edit: 5-2 not 5-3 lol
